Presti - Lagoya duo was superior one in their particular way, due Ida Presti. But what makes the Abreu duo unique is the homogenous sound and total command of music, producing what is written in the music. No other guitar duo has reached this level.

But I digress.  The real reason for my post is to call attention to the plethora of gawking, childish, naive, and downright ignorant comments found here. There has indeed not been any of the same superior standard since Abreu -brothers. The Assad -brothers aren't bad - not at all .- but they are missing the "something" in their approach and sound. Presti & Lagoya -duo was fabulous (due Ida) and had also the "sound" but not that classical one of the Abreus. The rest is noise.

You can hear them play the tonadilla of Rodrigo is you can find the recording. They recorded it almost 40 years ago on Columbia records. It´s worth trying to find the recording.

What a pity that this is the only video of these incredible guitarist brothers. WHat skill and what incredible feeling and musicality. Has their ever been any better duets of any instrument? I doubt it. What a pity they performed together for so short a time.
