  • You could see all the burden carried throughout all those years take off as Mulder utters those words "I'm fine... I'm free". One of the greatest shows ever made IMO

  • @890slay I totally agree with you. One of the greatest show EVER.

  • Gives me the chills

  • One of my all-time favorite episodes. The music alone is breathtaking. The character development, awe-inspiring. God, I hope they make an XF3.

  • @Scotttjt agreed. This was the greatest episode of X-Files without a doubt because Mulder finally let go; he is free. I cry every time i watch this episode because for me, this is Mulder's end, the true end to the X-Files. David should have won an Oscar and a Golden Globe because of this episode

  • @Scotttjt I hope so!!!

  • I dont care if thats how his search for his sister ended, very touching, very emotional, made me cry

  • What's the song?

  • My favorite episode always gets to me!!! :)

  • a very strong scene.. Mulder....: i'm free...

  • This doesnt mesh with everything learned about Samantha previously.

  • A more moving scene doesnt exist

  • omg this was so sad.

And this is coming from a guy who doesn't get upset at anything

wonder if harold ever found his son..

  • *which in the scene he was*

  • Loved this scene from the X files. David Duchovny's acting throughout it was moving beyond belief + the song was out of this world, it truly sounded like being at the gates of heaven, was in the scene he was. I'm one of those guys that just never cries and i lost myself completely towards the end, there's nothing worse than the unknown and you just felt the frustration and pain melt away from Mulder when he said 'i'm free'. Which was a credit to the actor as i said.

    Nice lil edit btw.

  • @HHHBFResurrected thank you! And I agree with what you said about the scene. A masterpiece.

  • @HHHBFResurrected you wrote a beautiful comment about "Closure" and David Duchovny. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts. (thanks for the vid btw)

  • @HHHBFResurrected I have to agree with you as well, I was watching the seasons one after the other and this episode stopped me cold, when Mulder is walking past all the children and that little girl looks up at him and then the look on Mulders face when he finds Samantha speaks volumes.

  • @HHHBFResurrected Totally agree. I can watch this scene and still cry.

  • @HHHBFResurrected Well said man, a thumb up from me :)

  • When my girlfriend and I first watched this episode, we were in a flood of tears by the end. When Mulder comes out of the woods and tells Harold that he saw his son, the acting is just so powerful and moving from all three of them.

  • Having lost a girlfriend once in car accident I some still see her in dream. She comes to me in Giant field of wheat. She is wearing a white dress. She says to me in the dream. Frederik I will love you forever and I will be waiting for you.

I was on an operating-table two years ago and the operation was going bad and I swore she was suddenly there and put her hand on my head and said "Frederik is not you time yet"...And then suddenly the doctor was able close the wound and I survived.

  • @dperani82 Yeah i know it now. Thanks!

  • I'm fine.... i'm free.

  • I remember watching this episode as a kid. After this song and what happened with his sister, I got all teary eyed... =\

  • @PatriotInfinity

    OMG me too!

    And I am a kid.

I watched the episode 5 times and each time I have burst into tears D:

  • @BTSReload Thanx.

  • Whats the name of the song? Not the X-Files theme.

  • @19GirlBad it's "My weakness" by Moby

  • @BTSReload why did you ask yourself a question on youtube and responded to yourself ? Weird...

  • @simivalley1908 I don't know what do you mean....

  • @BTSReload

he tought you asked and answered that song question...

    weird...

  • @19GirlBad Moby My weakness!

  • Seen this on TV in 2001. That song blew my mind. One of the greatest TV moments.

Took me ages till I found out it was Moby. No internet in them days.

  • fiumi di lacrime..dico solo questo..

  • fantastic... :-)

  • Non so se hai dato uno sguardo agli spettatori in sala durante queste scene ...non vedevo tante lacrime al cinema dai tempi di Titanic. :-)

  • @1013XF è stato un onore trasformare la sala in una valle di lacrime ;)
