To say one's an “MIT engineer” is to imply that one either teaches engineering at MIT or else otherwise worked for MIT as an engineer. Jeff King is not now nor has he ever been an MIT engineer (or research scientist), nor has he ever taught engineering or worked as an engineer for any university ever. He’s been a family doctor for at least 27 years and only received a joint biology/electrical engineering degree from MIT in 1974 to briefly work in medical devices before turning to medicine.

@Venddenta MIT structural engineers (ACTUAL MIT scientists and researchers, rather than Jeff King, who doesn't work for MIT, but merely got a biology-EE degree from them decades ago and has since worked as a family doctor) did an analysis of it and provided their take on how and why they fell. Just do a Google search for it, or do a search on Scientific American's website.
Either way, it's pretty easily explained how and why they fell. And MIT engineers are "pretty good", so I tend to trust'em.

Jeff King is a former ELECTRICAL engineer and more recently a Family Practice MD. He graduated from MIT in 1974, with a combined Biology-EE major. He is not a structural engineer or a physics major. He is not even remotely qualified to discuss this issue.
Had he studied the RELEVENT discipline at MIT he would have studied under Dr. Thomas Eagar, the Thomas Lord Professor of Materials Engineering and Engineering Systems... who supports the 9-11 commission findings.

I don't think it is likely for the steel columns, but I think it could be possible. Really this has never happened before, which why not having a complete as possible investigation as soon as possible made no sense. None of the evidence should have been destroyed until investigation was done.
The NIST report starts off by stating where all the wreckage was taken, and which teams got to sort through it all and find pieces they wanted to keep.

@Venddenta MIT structural engineers (ACTUAL MIT scientists and researchers, rather than Jeff King, who doesn't work for MIT, but merely got a biology-EE degree from them decades ago and has since worked as a family doctor) did an analysis of it and provided their take on how and why they fell. Just do a Google search for it, or do a search on Scientific American's website.
Either way, it's pretty easily explained how and why they fell. And MIT engineers are "pretty good", so I tend to trust'em.

They said their report was only to make recommendations for the building of new high rises...they completely ignored hundreds of testimonies and evidence such as molten steel and thermate. The evidence that has been produced, with NO help from our government, is more than strong enough to at least warrant an independent investigation, yet, out of fear, most U.S. citizens actually PREFER to remain ignorant. Jeff King is a former ELECTRICAL engineer and more recently a Family Practice MD. He graduated from MIT in 1974, with a combined Biology-EE major. He is not a structural engineer or a physics major. He is not even remotely qualified to discuss this issue.
Had he studied the RELEVENT discipline at MIT he would have studied under Dr. Thomas Eagar, the Thomas Lord Professor of Materials Engineering and Engineering Systems... who supports the 9-11 commission findings.

I don't think it is likely for the steel columns, but I think it could be possible. Really this has never happened before, which why not having a complete as possible investigation as soon as possible made no sense. None of the evidence should have been destroyed until investigation was done.

Ok found it - that article was written in early 02. The steel was indeed cut into pieces and removed from the site, but it seems the guy clearly doesn't know that it was being taken to holding areas in 5 different recycling yards, where for the next 18 months investigators picked through it and collected over 236 pieces ffor examination.
In the early weeks and months after the event there was a lot of confusion out there - the BBC even thought the hijackers were alive!

I study in Civil Engr. and I never saw a building going down so easily..I meen, go visit Buliding Demolitions on youtube, You will notice the sound of explosions before it collapses. This video covers up to like 80% on what we focus in Static, Dynamics , Structures Analysis..etc
My opinion...there was plenty of explosifs like TNT..Plastic and others...To reduce concrete in powder...takes lot of energy.

You can get the building specs and plans for the WTC online -its an interesing lightweight thin steel truss floor joist construction which doesn't stand up to heat very well- don't believe me; then make a steel truss heat it with a torch while applying a load and it will supposedly bend easily- natural gas would also cause explosions, yeah it probably was demo'd but this guy is too quick to jump to conclusions and he is also a fraud

This guy is not with MIT. He's not an engineer, he's a physician, and has been for the last 24 years. From his own bio he doesn't say he majored in physics, so at best he took a class or two. His bio says he majored in biology and electrical engineering in 1974 and then practiced electrical engineering for eight years and then medicine for the last 24 years or so. He probably got his degree in biology and practiced some electrical engineering on the side to pay his way through med school.

There is no proof of thermite present. Steven Jones theory is that the molten material was molten iron, which he theorizes could have been caused by a thermite reaction. This is conjecture. There are other explanations acounting for the molten material, such as that it was molten aluminum alloys mixed with organic materials. So much for the "proof".

Placing the thousands of pounds of Thermite required to buckle the steel would have been unlikely to escape the notice of the security staff of the WTC. The conspiracy freaks think this means the staff of the WTC were in on it. And yet these same staff (Such as for example John O'Neil) were amoung those who died, murdered by the Al Qaeda terrorists on 9/11.
