  • I'm from Sweden and i understand this joke... everyone in Sweden speaks English xD

  • Its Netherlands though, but its still awesome! haha

  • WOOOOOW!! It's just awesome!!! =)

  • This is funny as hell and it is dutch

  • I like it

  • ITS NOT sweden cuz everyone in sweden can speak english we have english in our schools

  • @sirwann The commercial assumes that its audience speaks English, because if they didn't they wouldn't understand the joke. Anyhow, it's Dutch, and Dutch are just as good at English as Swedes are.

Anyhow, while I don't know a single Swede who can't get by in English, I know plenty whose English could use plenty of improvement.

This video is aimed at Dutch people who understand English well enough to get the joke but who still want to become more proficient with the language.

  • @tesseraktik wont waste my time with reading what you wrote

  • Not a good exemple. Dutch are usually very good at speaking English

  • @Walthamstow29 ...but surely, there are Dutch people who are not as good as they'd like to be? This is an ad directed at those people, not an ad aimed at bashing Dutch people's English skills in general.

Actually, the ad assumes that even Dutch people who speak English relatively poorly understand it well enough to understand that that song is inappropriate.

  • lol, that's cool xP

  • It's not a swedish family

  • hahahaahahahahahahahhaaha omg HILARIOUS!

  • pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffahahahahahahaha OH MY GOD AHAHHAH

  • "I WANNA FUCK IN THE ASS" ;)

  • LOL:D!!!

  • lol

  • hahah! Wow, what a great...funny ad!

  • its not a schwedish family its a netherlands fam. couse the button NL at the car is for netherlands

  • @KredaHSK When I live in Sweden I drove a KIA with PL plates that I bought from a Polish guy when I worked in Denmark, I'm British, now I live in Hong Kong! Given the visa hassles I've had over the years it's annoying to find out that changing nationality is as simple as buying a foreign car!!! lol

  • @KredaHSK The Netherlands is the country, the people are Dutch :)

    Dutchie ftw ^-^

  • lol, Holland...

  • De är inte svenska. De är damn holländska.

  • @ChargeWestward Tbh, jag gillar inte deras språk lol.

  • Hey JACK ASS

i can promise you by watching this video that those people are Dutch and not Swedes

Swedes are too smart to be like that

    Swedes rock!

  • then I rock because I'm swed?

  • go fuck a gote, onamountianlivingdumbass

  • OK, I speak American, with a bit of French and the meaning of this commercial came through loud. I LOVE it. Very funny.

  • you speak american?!?..... haha!!!! im pretty sure its called english! haha!

  • Hello Jack Ass.

Just like a person from spain speaks different spanish from Mexican, english from England is much different from American english. Hell, the english language in American differs from north, south, mid west, and west. Anyone who doesn't use there shoe size for there their IQ knows that. Catch up.

  • It's still english...

  • haha u speak american, u must be blonde.

  • its a dutch commercial. im from holland and i know it for sure

  • Omg, its a Europeen commercial, its use all over EU.

  • yeah göteborg has the alomst funniest accent

"göteborska", but the most funniest, that not even sweds can undertand easily is "skånska".

well every city has their accents but these two r the most famous ones ^-^ and the phrase

u wanted to say is "Jag pratar inte svenska".

  • ehm. är du en idiot? klart svenskar förstår skånska.

uhm, are you an idiot? of course swedes can understand skånska.

  • cool, so can u speak a little swedish?

Fattardu vad jag säger just nu?

  • I find it amusing that almost all the comments to this video is written in terrible english, and many of the same comments claim that "my country is the best at english in the world". Returds.

  • Correction: I find it amusing that almost all of the comments to this video ARE written in terrible English, and many of the same comments claim that, "My country is the best at English in the world." RETARDS.....learn how to spell, and learn some grammer before being angry at everyone else, for posting/bragging.....p.s. I love you.

  • I posted that comment real quick and didn´t bother proofreading, I am sorry. I do know the usage of "is" and "are". "Returds" was a pun. re.. turd...s.... Learn to spell grammar before you command me to do so. Fare thee well, I hate you.

  • Yes actually I do din skit!^^

Jag är svensk och det e tydligen inte du^^

    Hahaha,I´m swedish=P

  • It´s not swedish!I know,I´m Swedish;)

  • Me too, jag oxå! :)

  • it's not swedish. It's probably dutch

  • yes it is dutch I can remember this add;)

  • The family isn't even swedish you muppets!

  • I LOVE THIS!! This is sooo damn good, who ever came up with this idea for this commercial, I just want to give him a bunch of roses XD Hahah, I wish that it could be on television here in Sweden *lol*

  • It's Dutch. "Engels leren?" means Learn English?

However most Dutch people speak English quite well.

  • We Swedes got the higest englishgrades in Europe.Just so you know.

  • no, england gets the highest english marks in europe, P.S. i wanna fuck you up the ass

  • I meant except england you dumbass canadian! dont get shit confused. P.S. you cant fuck me up the ass your dick is to small.

  • No actually Swedes probably speak better English than alot of English people.

    It's embarrassing.

  • I know, swedish pepole r actually very good at english better than italians and japanse

(These pepole r only examples, no offens).

    I'm swedish =)

  • misconception, swedish people actually learn english in school

  • It´s probably been written here before but however.

THIS IS NOT SWEDISH. I believe the guy that put this up either should take it away or change thé text.

By the way, it is either Dutch or some close-related language.

  • This is hilarously wrong in every sense !! But i like it !! I'm going to laugh in my sleep because of this.

  • Swedish people are actually pretty good at english if you compare to other countries

  • Haha I've been in that situation sometimes =D My parents speak english, but they wouldn't listen too carefully to the lyrics of an english song xD

  • why do almost everyone think that swedish girls are stupid and their name is Inga and all they can say is: Jaaaaaa XD I'm from sweden and i'm not like that at all!

    PS, sorry about my english!

  • hahahaha! because the world thinks all the blond girls are "dumb" and mostly of swedish girls are blond. But swedish girls are hot and smart! I have met several girls from Stockholm and Jonkoping!

  • LMFAO!

  • lol, i saw this commercial once in germany. hilarious!

    btw, 'Engels leren?' isnt german.

  • reminds me of a picture that I had saw a while ago which showed a Japanese girl in a shirt with the word 'prostitute'

  • This is just al Dutch commercial for a short of school.

And the most Netherlands people can english

  • I'm sure they all 'can English'. :D

    "Ik kan! Ik kan!"

nah just a joke. don't take offence man.

  • XD but i am swedish, seems like I'm talking and TYPING english pretty good, all my friends speak to languages pretty well too. s33?

  • hahaha

this is false thought in the netherlands people speak really good english, well you'd know if you went there...

  • I know it,I use to go to Amsterdam,i love that city!!!!!!!!

  • @dimitarzh I LOVE AMSTERDAM! ;p

  • @chunhyei yea but this is form the 80's or something. And people speak excellent english in Sweden aswell

  • @chunhyei I live in the Netherlands and most people understand English. That's why I use Chinese (Southern-Min) songs with the same lyrics, which is hilarious untill someone understands it, then someone explains and everybody gets mad. But this song could be heard in French (provincial) kindergartens withour complaint.

  • People have to stop saying it's German. I hate it when Dutch and German get mixed >_< Not that I hate German, but it's quite different. I'm not confusing French with Spanish either! This movie is Dutch, and unlike someone before said a lot of Dutch people can't speak or understand English at all. So it's not stupid.

  • It's not Swedish! It's from the Netherlands, that's what the NL on the back of the car stands for. Sadly, I have to say that most Swedes stink when it comes to speaking English. I'm fluent in English, Swedish, Swedish sign language, and I'm learning Welsh on my spare time.

  • Their pronouncation stink, yes, but they usually don't have any troubles in expressing themselves or any limitation when it comes to their stock of words.

I do have a good pronouncation myself, though, so I wouldn't embarass us. :P

  • OOOMMMMMFFFFFGGGGG ITS DUTCH FROM HOLLAND (IM dutch) but this is stupid dutch people can speak english very well

  • its from the netherlands. look on the back of the car "NL" nwebs

  • This is'nt a Swedish commercial! It's from Germany I think. Look at the end of the clip, "Engels lernen?" ;D

  • english is englisch in german. you fuckwit

  • don't insult Swedish people! Swedish people on average are good in English.

  • XP swedish people speak pretty bad english (maybe i do

too?) but some os 'us' are prety good, i think:P

  • Speak for yourself. Swedish people on average are good in English.

  • well yes, but those i've heard is not very good. but i know you are right on that stuff 8D

  • We spent a few weeks in Sweden and Finland last spring. Sadly, the people there spoke better english than many people here in America.

  • now we know what the dutch people like

  • I'm dutch, and i can confirm it's dutch, it's a funny commercial though!

  • "Engels leren" i mean.. see, i cant even spell that lol

  • in sweden u begin to study english when you are like eight years old... and that was NOT swedish for sure. "English leren" -sounds like fuckin GERMAN

  • i think german for "to learn' is erlernen and english is "Englisch" and for dutch pronounciation of "Engels leren" ('Eng'uhls liruh')

  • NOT german..definitely also NOT swedish..but instead,DUTCH!!!

  • That's german! NOT swedish! I'm swedish, I should know

  • I don't think anyone in Sweden doesn't understand that! :P

  • lal kinda funny accusing swedish peoples for speaking bad english haha

  • It's dutch, look at the license plate

  • It is not from sweden it is from norway or denmark

  • WTF? Swedish? Haxx that was NOT Swedish.

"Wanna learn english?" = Vill du lära dig engelska?

  • if it was a french family i i had belived it. But every swedish person understands those lyrics atleast the ass,in and fuck part.

  • hauauhahu it's not a swedish family

  • Yup clearly Dutch...

There's the sticker above the licence plate with 'NL' (= Nederland = Holland/Netherlands)and the colours on the plate are Dutch too... And ofc 'Engels leren?' is also dutch...

  • Hey, it's not a swedish comercial, it's dutch :)

  • Its now swedish tho'. Try german or something like that. :P

  • Swedish is known for speaking good English :S

  • It's a dutch family I believe...

  • haha, great :))))

  • rOFL! 8D ~(however its NOT a swedish car plate^-^o_0)
