For Ledger, it was important that he presented his characters in a very authentic way. The idea of researching or "living" within a role to make it more believable is nothing new for an actor. But Ledger took it to another level. While studying for Brokeback he would frequent gay bars in L.A and New York. It wasn't long before he was caught up in a gay lifestyle that included illicit drug use and orgies. Despondent and guilt ridden over his choices he killed himself. And those are the facts.
I don't know if Ledger did drugs or not. I couldn't say, BUT your homosexuality allegations are bull. He was very honest about the fact that, initially, BBM scared him, and that it was a major challenge, BUT that doesn't mean he literally became his character for the movie. Did he become a psychopath to play the joker? Didn't think so. It's called acting for a reason. Secondly, there is no proof that he killed himself.

I don't know if Ledger did drugs or not. I couldn't say, BUT your homosexuality allegations are bull. He was very honest about the fact that, initially, BBM scared him, and that it was a major challenge, BUT that doesn't mean he literally became his character for the movie. Did he become a psychopath to play the joker? Didn't think so. It's called acting for a reason. Secondly, there is no proof that he killed himself.

He died alone, nude and on pills a classic gay man's death The connection with Ennis in Brokeback was made easey and yes he was my favorite acor that was in dire need of help and truth and he got neither, just sedation for the issues but very little help; the image and career became more important than the man; a tradition in Hollywood with no end in sight.
