In 1973 in home economics class we were taught how to use a button hole foot. I was sick that week. Since then I have never sewn anything that required a true button. Instead I used snaps and fasteners.
I bought a Brother nx250 recently and although I tried, I could not figure out how to use the buttonhole foot. Your explanation was the only one I found online that easily and simply explained it 1-2-3

Yes, excellent! I wondered why I couldn't do it on my machine...I didn't put the button in! I guess it'll work if I do that! :)
