Lunenburg, MA: Tri-Town Drive In Theater

I used to go there all the time since I was a kid. It was one of my favorite childhood memories along with Whalom Park. Now they're both gone. The only drive-in left in Mass is e Northfield Drive-In. Really sad. :'(

I went here once.

The apartments are completed now. It really makes the parcel look a lot smaller, too.

Same with Whalom.

Correction: The condos at Whalom are FAR from done, but what's similar is how small the parcel looks right now.

I 4got about Tri-Town being there.

What ever happen to them building on Whalom Drive- In? I remember back in the 80's the Whalom Drive-In screen caught on fire.

I remember that as well.

I don't know. I thought I heard something was to start over there, but instead, the condows where the amusement park was, has finally got going early this year.

Those look like pretty nice apartment buildings! =-) and I heard another drive in theater is still operational in Mendon, Ma on SR 16.

I read there's one in Milford as well.

Sad to see this one go. It wasn't doing that bad, either. The developer just offered too much money to refuse.
