Limewire itself isnt a virus. But some of the files uploaded to it are. The only way to be sure the file isnt a virus is if its in

MP3 format because theres no possible way to attatch a virus to an MP3 format file

Really? Because many times avast! has let viruses through. Sometimes, it will find it. But when you remove it: "Avast cannot delete this file because it is being used but another program" Uh-oh. SCREWED. Do a MBAM scan and see if it finds anything.

i find the program in the processes tab in task manager and end it...

if not RUN▬►msconfig▬►startup tab

and then i find it there and uncheck it from the startup then i close the system configuration utility (msconfig) then restart and run a startup scan with avast! (if u don't understand me then send me a message or reply

No, viruses are usually REALLY small, I mean like 400kb small =/ You probably just have a bad internet connection, or the file is really big.

NOTE:this is ssj4mario's comment: Let me start by saying, you downloaded a 113.KB file. That is bound to be a virus. Believe me on this, dont try to get any zip folders or rar files off Limewire, they're all infected. Music is your best bet. Also, the "no sharing making Limewire virus free" thing, who said anything like that? Im saying the no sharing thing kinda helps shorten the risk of it, because if your sharing, people can send you viruses, though even when your not, your still prone to it.
