I like more pro-wrestling and Muay Thai cause is more interesting then UFC. Ofcourse i respect fighters, BUT why UFC suck? Cause there no DEDICATION. Cain Valasquez win his Heawyweight belt in LAST YEAR OCTOBER. So What the hell he is doing all this year? Ok its brutal, but real muay thai fighters having fight every week. Look at Buakaw Por Pramuk REAL FIGHTER with DEDICATION. UFC? only advertisement about cage and no rules nothing else. And wrestling? Events every WEEK, thats DEDICATION too!!!

It doesn't matter if wrestling is scripted or not, pro wrestlers certainly fit the definition of what an athlete is. A lot of the things that wrestlers do in the ring require skills similar to that of a gymnast, and no one is gonna argue that a gymnast is not an athlete.
I never called wrestling a 100 percent real sport because it's scripted, but it is a PARTIAL sport.

most everyone is wrong.....matches are dynamic. The ref gets the word from a producer in the announcers box if the crowd is into to make it longer and if the crowd is not buying it, they end it early. The ref passes the message to the "wrestlers".....;-)

I was a wrestling fan for most of my life, and know it was fake for a long time. What turned me off to wrestling is the pushes some guys have gotten like Cena, Edge, Orton. Batista has been the only wrestler to deserve such a push since the end of the wcw/attitude era guys that were still around.

its not fake real and fake all 50/50 just think about it and its not scripted they talk about the plans of the match but might not actualy do it they way tey planned it and just go with the flow or sometimes they go out and just do whatever as long as the match is in the lenth of time that it was asked to be and sometimes its up to them t drop the title they care more about what the plans are in the main event but not so much of a big deal for mid cards

I think a lot of people are particularly annoyed by wrestling because it looks like a sport and, therefore, they wish to judge it in sporting terms and in these terms wrestling is not compelling because it is not an honest competition and the result is pre-determined.
If they were to regard it more as a play or a dance etc they wouldn't have the same problems with it. The fact that it is scripted is part of the appeal for me as all the stuff backstage is very interesting.

I was a wrestling fan for most of my life, and know it was fake for a long time. What turned me off to wrestling is the pushes some guys have gotten like Cena, Edge, Orton. Batista has been the only wrestler to deserve such a push since the end of the wcw/attitude era guys that were still around.

Magic tricks are fake but it doesn't stop artists from going abbra-ka-dabbra, so WTF with trying to clown pro wrestling. If people want to see really stunned or unconscious bodies, then watch UFC, MMA, F-1, etc. Contrary to popular belief, Earth is a big planet and has plenty of room for greco-roman/olympic /school stuff, and their plenty of room for the physical theater version. I think a lot of people are particularly annoyed by wrestling because it looks like a sport and, therefore, they wish to judge it in sporting terms and in these terms wrestling is not compelling because it is not an honest competition and the result is pre-determined.
If they were to regard it more as a play or a dance etc they wouldn't have the same problems with it. The fact that it is scripted is part of the appeal for me as all the stuff backstage is very interesting.
