Poor rendition by Shreya. As Anand says,Rehman ka kaam hi copy and paste hai. I think it is a dishonour for Ustadji, Such weak taans!! What was that crap between 2:57 and 2:58? So lousy.

No doubt Shreya is one of our best female singers of today. However no match to Ustad. Ustad took one taan and then realised it was too much and then left it for Shreya and she did a fantastic job

Ustadji died in the year 1968 !.The song from Delhi6 was released in 2009 ,about 40 years after ustadjis demise. it is the sound recordist / engineer who cut short the Taan and mixed with

Shreya Voice. ....

i wish rahman asked a more classically grounded singer to sing this.. shreya did a fantastic job, but there are better classically oriented singers out there that would have been able to better keep up with ustad's singing

@chanchal47 oh yes, you're completely right. sunidhi chauhan sells more (nowadays) than lataji's classical pieces. but that doesn't mean sunidhi chauhan is better than lataji.

Yes I agree !! The old Legends are for connoisseurs. who understands the finer crafts of the voice.

I wont blame fully the present time singers.The music directors of the caliber of Famous Twelve ( Naushad+Sanakar Jaikishen+madan mohon+salil chowdhury+SDbarman+RD Barman +Kalyanji Anandji+Hemant Kumar+Khyaam +Roshan+C Ramchandra) being missed , so the the lyricist of 6 gems ( Sahir,Shakeel,Kaifee,Shailende­r, Majrooh & Hasrat) Sheela sells Monica is for gotten .
