Audi S8 engine is NOT a Gallardo engine :D

5,2 V10 S8 is a wet sump engine which revs till 7000 RPM and has a split pin crankshaft . Gallardo is a dry sump engine, normal crankshaft revs till 8600. The S8 5,2 is basicaly the 4,2 V8 + 2 Cylinders + a balancing shaft. The V10 in the Gallardo / R8 is a much newer design. Audi designed and builds the Lambo V10 at Audi Hungária and the S8 engine is now out of production. Peace

But because it has a smaller, lighter engine (V10 vs. W12) and a smaller and lighter body (S8 comes only in a standard wheelbase configuration and W12 only comes in a longer wheelbase version) even a stock S8 would always win. The main point of the W12 is smoothness, not speed.

Yes, it's from Audi... But it's not a V12, it's a W12... W shape of the block, not V... W12 is the equivalent of two V6 engines... V6+V6=W12... Two V's make a W and 6+6=12... Simple mathematics... Bugatti Veyron has a similar engine, just that it's a larger W16, the equivalent of two V8's... Check it yourself...

Audi is VW, they are built in the same factories.. They are in the same group, and for an example the Passat 1.9TDi have the same engine like the Audi A4 1.9TDi. My dad had an A6 from 2007, and yes i liked it, but know we have an 530i and a 750i and I can't explain why BMW is better than Audi, and I don't have words for it. We got some small problems with the A6 like the pums broked, and the quality on the Dash board was very bad..
