I believe Joint Task Force 2 to be the most elite soldiers in the world. Experts in every type of weaponry, and masters of urban, arctic, woodland, and desert warfare. You name it, and they excel at it. But most importantly, they are truly secretive. Honestly, though, It's pointless in arguing over which country has the better modern day soldiers. It's impossible to know without a war to base it on. I know that JTF2 and SAS are chummy, as they are also likely with the Navy Seals. So relax, guys.

SAS fall under the same category as front line troop, women arnt allowed as front line troop. To many deaths happen, they arnt physically as strong as men and it is far more demoralizing for the public to have female bodies coming back in coffins.

What can the SAS do that the SEAL can not do. Will SAS out perform Delta in CQB? Can the SAS keep up with the SEALS in the water? Can the SEALS keep up with the SAS in the desert?
Do not forget untrained civilians, lost, injured in deserts and other rough terrain survive greater ordeals than any SF member ever faced to. And the civilians where not trained for it. That does not take away from the SF troops but the human mind is a beautiful and powerful thing that will beat training any day.

No1 knows who they are, always a good thing! And they have trained many of the worlds best aswell. They are all experience veterans! on one show i saw , these 2 guys were in the jungle for 2 months on recon, were joined by a further 5 and took out 45 fighters! and no1 knew wot happened till the morning!
@koalab100 If that is true we have to look into the missions they undertake. I know of at least one mission they refused coz they saw it as a suicide mission. Many SF around the world do take one what could possibly be a suicide mission.
A Green Barret did 6 months behind enemy lines in Vietnam, re con, gather intelligence, kill, disrupt, sabotage all on his own. SF forces are capable of extra ordinary things. But I do not see why the SAS would be the best.

SAS fall under the same category as front line troop, women arnt allowed as front line troop. To many deaths happen, they arnt physically as strong as men and it is far more demoralizing for the public to have female bodies coming back in coffins.

I wonder have any one of you cocksuckers ever spoken with someone involved in special forces? No? Okey listen up, i met a fellow Norwegian while on holiday here in Thailand. He was in Marinejegerkommandoen(MJK) considered by many to be the toughest special forces unit in the world. He said to me that the special forces who impressed him the most was the Spetsnaz and the SAS if i remember correctly. Remember that even the "mighty" SEALS come to good ol Norway to train with MJK...

What can the SAS do that the SEAL can not do. Will SAS out perform Delta in CQB? Can the SAS keep up with the SEALS in the water? Can the SEALS keep up with the SAS in the desert?
Do not forget untrained civilians, lost, injured in deserts and other rough terrain survive greater ordeals than any SF member ever faced to. And the civilians where not trained for it. That does not take away from the SF troops but the human mind is a beautiful and powerful thing that will beat training any day.

@BailyCarpeDiem The SAS are better for many reasons, their training is tougher, the SAS only pick the creme de la creme of soldiers. Their training consists of surviving off the land, desert, Arctic, wilderness moor land, Ocean survival, parachute jumping, flying vehicles, operating every weapon you can imagine, hostage rescue, interrogation training for resistance to the enemy, map reading with and without a compass, telling the time and bearings with the sun, and much much more. You tard.

All you mention above, with exception of HR has been done by many for centuries for longer period of time in much harsher conditions. I am not saying nothing bad about any Sf or the SAS. I just wonder why people think the SAS is much better than the rest. If I was a hostage I would want the Israeli SF coming to rescue me, not Delta not SAS. You wonderful person.

@BailyCarpeDiem I have a adult answer! It comes down to sucess rate and casualty rate and cvilian deaths! SAS have never failed, rarly lose men and have never had one recorded civilian casualty. No1 knows who they are, always a good thing! And they have trained many of the worlds best aswell. They are all experience veterans! on one show i saw , these 2 guys were in the jungle for 2 months on recon, were joined by a further 5 and took out 45 fighters! and no1 knew wot happened till the morning!

@koalab100 If that is true we have to look into the missions they undertake. I know of at least one mission they refused coz they saw it as a suicide mission. Many SF around the world do take one what could possibly be a suicide mission.
A Green Barret did 6 months behind enemy lines in Vietnam, re con, gather intelligence, kill, disrupt, sabotage all on his own. SF forces are capable of extra ordinary things. But I do not see why the SAS would be the best.

@No1Richman Is what you say is what they claim, army's always had special forces of witch many fought more, bigger battles in far worse conditions that the SAS did does. That is no argument. You need conflict, war, constants treat to be the best. SAS does not have that. Its all theory and mock till it does happen. Would the SAS be superior to they're Israeli counter parts? I don't think so. Fact is most mistakes made by the Bravo Two Zero team was do to fatigue and stress.

It's a TV show. The actual SAS aren't involved in this.....the so called ''instructors'' are ex-special forces. They're old men who did it once in their youth. They're old soldiers. And just like old athletes, they may still remember the techniques but they can't do the job anymore no matter how much they like to think they can.

@BenBowers13 Debatle. I'd argue that they arn't the best the US have got, I'd personally go for Delta over SEALS. But end of the day it basically comes down to opinion. SAS are better at some things then SEALS, SEALS are better then SAS at other things. It's same with all special forces. There isn't a true best.

to me even if u do 2 years of training it might make u better but its mental thinking that get u to stay alive yes even though trainning is soposed to do that which it does it also comes down to respect, team, and being human not being a matchine because humans will make mistakes but can combat them and find weeknesses but matchines will have a maijor weekness you just need to find them they are probs in frunt of you. that was just a frase i am not aginst the british SF i am just saying we rule!

okay im in the army cadets and the one thing i picked up on here they heard a bang and didnt hit the deck (that is major mistake and could get you killed in batttle scenario) my instinct would be to hot the deck and watch the environment around me to see things moving. i prob dunno as much as that royal marine (btw dude ya awesome) but i think that these guys wernt army material.
