Used to be against hunting elephant even though i hunt other game until i found out the facts about their numbers and their potential to destroy their own home range if their numbers are not kept in check also the fact that local villagers benefit greatly from the meat and the money paid to hunt elephant goes back into paying anti poaching game wardens and the like,looks like a good dvd

@NDMHUNTER1 -The problems that occur with elephants are a common occurrence. I too was much like you regarding elephant hunting. As I learned more through reading and spending time in Africa I came to realize the benefits that hunting elephant provides. This is true from the conservation, human/wildlife conflict, and poaching prevention perspective

What caliber gun you use..

@171973jose-I have a variety of rifles suitable for dangerous game hunting that currently includes the .375 H & H, .416 Rem. Mag, .450/.400 NE, and .470 NE. I prefer a double rifle for dangerous game hunting in most circumstance. There is place for the bolt action but when up close the double would be my choice. For elephants, bigger is better if you can shoot the bigger cartridge.
