  • i love the guitar nice find man a 1966 sweet axe sounds good

  • Cool guitar! Didn't know they made that comp blue color without the stripe in the 60's.

  • @kamikazywatermelon Actually, it's not Competition blue, it's an unoriginal color, the guitar was originally White, then previous owners repainted it gold, a darker teal color, then a lighter teal color that possibly is "Tahoe Teal" used on some 1966 FORD Mustang cars. So the finish is unoriginal.

  • Could you get a mustang and put a jagstang pickgaurd on it so you can have EMGs? I like your jagstang. Are they routed to have that or are they like just singles?

  • Mustangs were always dual single coil guitars, and are routed for dual single coils.

The Jag-Stang pickguard is slightly different (one indicator of a Jag-Stang pickguard is the lack of a screw between the pickups on the treble side about a third of the way across the pickguard. Also, the shape is slightly different to accomodate the Jag-Stang's body which has some different lines from the Mustang.

  • the paint job on this guitar looks like th paint job on a sports car made in the 60's its so cool

  • What's really cool is they apparently made 1966 Ford Mustangs in that color......

I searched 1966 Ford Mustang Teal on Google, and found the second picture is the same color as the gutiar.

  • sweeet, i love things like that especially with fender guitars,, gotta love fender, they got so much choice and taste
