i get a lot of my sound from being influenced by this band and to me rick david nick are in some way the way i found myself in life..rick u are surely missed but for sure never forgoten,i dont think he died but just rather passed to the better part of life! or is it he was so good that the lord wanted to meet him in spirit? thanks to floyd and thanks to fans is a lesson that we are all one!

@kootenaylad...I'm sure Jon Carin felt the loss of Rick just as much, but I don't think there was a marriage between their families. I know Guy Pratt(bass) is married to Rick's daughter. I too still get teary when thinking of Rick, and especially during this song. He was such a huge influence in the band. Godspeed Rick!

@kootenaylad I agree with you. Those two were very close. I wouldn't doubt Jon Carin also feels a big loss since they were close to each other in many ways, including by a marriage in their families.

Thanks. I also have not seen problems. But that's OK because the dvd before we have this song and after this spectacular new work david remenber that night, he can stay a few more years without releasing anything that will not be missed.

I wish I could watch the show of David Gilmour and company here in Brazil, they never came to Brazil, only roger water.

@henriquepilot Thank you for your kind comment. I also heard (but no idea if it is true) that David wasn't happy with some of the band members (including himself) expressions due to the sound not being what he (David) wanted for the final release.

But like I say...I don't know if that is true or not.

My copy on PC looks much better than here on Youtube. I think I compressed it wrong :(

@henriquepilot from what I understand, there were some technical (sound) problems, and it was decided not to use it on the DVD.

Funny though, it doesn't sound bad to me.
