Another tip for this msg thing to work is use net view look for the computer name and if you want the IP i'm pretty sure you use nslookup -c "computer name goes here" could be wrong though.

What's neat is that the computers at my old school had it where your username was "s" followed by your student ID. If you know someone's student ID, you can send them messages. :D

@yugakikuchi You can't do that on WAN..Thats why he used workgroup . WORKGROUP is the name of the LAN connection.It will work on WAN if you have a private domain or ip.

You can do that at school or any place where they use LAN.

If you need help type net send ? in command prompt.
