  • If I were to dance like that there is no way I could keep from smiling.

  • Im almost suprised the floor didnt catch fire by the end

  • @Imminent92 i love that

  • Ich find die beiden nur irre.Ich hätte gerne Riverdance, aber nur mit der Besatzung wie sie hier zu sehen ist.Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen? Bitte

  • watchin this really makes me proud to be an Irishman

  • You guys do understand, The reason Flatly is very attention loving is because he is a flautist

  • As an Irish dancer and I far prefer Colin Dunne to Michael Flatley..he's probably the only guy that could match Jean Butler in grace. He makes it all look impossibly easy, while still being technically infallible. I'm so sad I never got to see him perform live!

  • q instrumento toca ?

  • @ssteriococo violino

  • I like this guy way more ! He is Brilliant, he seems too have so much passion inside of him.

  • No offense2Flatley or his fans, but his self-centeredness takes away from his dancing. It makes me wonder if he really cares about the art of Irish dance itself.Lord of the Dance is brilliant, but it doesn't exist4the glorification of Irish tap.It exists4the glorification of Michael Flatley. If his parents had put him in swimming lessons when he was a kid&it made him look good,he would have stuck with that.No matter what his real intentions are,he still comes off that way. It's not about tap anymore.

  • the language of the feet <3

  • Flatley is an idiot, Colin rules.

  • @isadora779 Michael Flatley is great and unparallelled.

  • That must be one damn sturdy stage

  • i've really got to see this live one day. magnifique!

  • No mames!!!! como coños le hacen? como se llama este tipo de musica?

  • No mames!!!! como coños le hacen?

  • estoy tan inspirada wow esto es facinante

  • Sorry, but Michael Flately is a FAR better dancer. It looks like Colin is the better Irish dancer while Micheal does his own Irish tap(?). But I believe Michael got bored with traditional Irish dance long ago. Search for the videos where he performed with The Chieftans long ago. He was far too good even back then.

  • @fazdoll The Problem with Michael is he believed himself better than everyon else and that he was the river dance.......Unfortunatly Colin show him up for who he was and it was colin that drew peoples attention back to the show ... colin is a humble dancer who breaths the music and enjoys what his doing. No offence intended to all Michael flatlely fan out there but give credit were its due . and it does not belong on michaels doorstep!

  • I just wish Fred Astaire had lived to see this, but it probably would have finished him off, lol. RIP Fred

  • I agree! This guy is much more modest! River Dance is not M. Flatley. Its a great team :))

  • Jean Butler & Colin Dunne, the best.

  • 23 people are Flatley fans...

  • This is the equivalent of George Lucas attempting to "better" his own Star Wars films by adding more spactacularisms. The end result? "More" not necessarily meaning Better. At all.

  • this modesty makes all the difference. This guy is far better tan Flatley. His sobriety goes according to the sobriety and skill of Irish dancing men. He knows how to be "First dancer" of troupé.

  • siempre es maravilloso volver a ver videos de Riverdance!

  • @mabigal93 Maria pages she and Jean butler are from the original company

  • Who is the woman in the begining witht he spanish-style dress? Just wodnering I've seen her in a number of videos

  • Favorite duo in all of Riverdance history.

  • At 0:43, for a moment I thought she was about draw a sword and cut him down, Samurai kenjutsu style. lol

  • GOOSE PIMPLES @6:45 ALL OF THE WAY UNTIL THE END OF THE VIDEO!!!

  • Hey guys! its me with another question. Do any of you know what the song is called and where I can find it? I've looked everywhere and can't find the right one.

  • Michael Flatley is a great dancer. But he makes me cringe he totally loves himself.

  • This guy is a good dancer but compared to Flatley, he is a letdown.

  • Thanks! I would've read throught the comments and probably would've found out but I don't like seeing some of the language on the comments. Thanks again!:D

  • I love this dance! It makes me feel so energetic when I watch it! I can't stop tapping my feet after I watch it!

Do any of you guy's know the names of the two main people who preform it?

  • @Eziofan888 Jean Butler & Colin Dunne

  • @TheCharmanator Im just curious; how is Jean's name pronounced? Jean like a pair of Jeanes, Shaun like Shaun connery or something else? I dont want to sound stupid; but..I also dooin't want to pronoucne her name wrong shoud I ever had the pelausre & honour of actually meeting her lol

  • @MabiGal93 Jean should be pronounced like "a pair of jeans". I'm not sure where "Shaun" came from. As far as I know there's no Shaun in the company.

  • @Felicity1247 It might be pronounced Jean Rhymes-With-Shaun. Jean-Luc Picard, for instance :p French names are funny like that.

  • @devilsluk Jean Butler is Irish American, rather than French. Therefore, it would be the English (or Irish American) pronunciation of Jean rather than the French pronunciation.

  • @MabiGal93 Jean as in a pair of jeans :)

  • I love this dance! It makes me feel so energetic when I watch it! I can't stop tap dancing after I watch it!

  • Thanks. I needed that. It's been a little rough today and I've found myself here. I saw it with Flatley in DC and have had no trouble ever seeing Colin Dunne do this. There is such a fire between him and Jean. I also think this is a much better produced version than the video I have. This is much better thought-out on how to shoot it. Anyway, I never would have guessed I'd wind up here, and it was absolutely right. And if you'll excuse me, I need to watch it again.

  • Boy O Boy, was I ever wrong. I always thought feet were just for walking and buying pretty shoes.

  • I saw this Spanish lady in Copenhagen about 11 years ago, and I honestly felt like learning to dance flamenco and also Irish dancing, but too bad, I'm in my late sixties and can't move that fast anymore ;-)

  • @loron21 his name is Colin Dunne

  • can any one tell me the name of this guy he is just awesome

  • I dare anyone who watches this to sit absolutely still.

  • @NitesInWhiteSatin I can' sit still either;-)

  • i think they should all the riverdancing groups in the world together and have one giant riverdance sesh

  • Michael Flattely has a type of arogance that forces him to make the show about him and not the dance. You can see it in the overly flashy costumes and effects as well as the way he seems to need to outdue his female partners instead of complement them like Colin Dunne does. For Colin it's about the dance and you can see it in the passion that he puts into his movements and tword his dance partners. It is probably part of where they grew up. Michael is from Chicago, U.S.A.

  • this isn't Riverdance tho....it's called Dancing on Dangerous Ground....but oh well

  • @arodoet126 It IS Riverdance in New York. DODG also has Colin Dunne and Jean Butler as lead, but I'm sure if you've actually seen Riverdance you would know that this is part of the show.

  • @oklahomatornadoes you're right, i made a mistake....i just saw it had colin dunne and jean butler and didn't watch the whole video....

  • I like the Irish chicks!

  • I used to own this movie! my parents bought it when I was young and it made me fall in love with Riverdance and Celtic music.

  • Jean's hair, fair complexion, smile ... so much about her reminds me of Nicole Kidman, anyone else think this or do i just have bad eye sight? lol

  • @06snow07bunny of course she looks like kidman----very much so

  • DANCING IS DANCING ENJOY,,,,

  • He's kind of short. I don't like that she's taller, but DAMN can he dance.

  • WOW! <333333333333333333

  • The male leads name is Colin Dunne. And I would pay good money to see him, Michael Flatley, Daire Nolan, and Brendan de Gallai have a dance duel.

  • This guy seems a bit more modest than Flatley. Flatley is brilliant but he enjoys having all the attention on him.

  • @Philor94

    Absolutely true

  • @Philor94 if you like irish dance and colin dunne then you should watch "dancing on dangerous ground"

  • @zumlum You're right, this is awesome too !

  • @Philor94 I think this guy worked with Flatley

  • @Philor94 Lol, I totally agree. Actually, Flatley's attitude pretty much outweighs his actual talent.

  • Coś pięknego i cudownego ! - Something beautiful (fine) and wonderful!

  • If you get the a chance to see them before final will come down do as it is just as breath taking and as amazing to see even more so in person it was just as breathtaking and the beats before the dancers come on and the sheer power from the dancers and from the audience around was electric it really was they are just amazing to see just get tickets if you u wont be disappointed at all and riverdance experience will stay with you forever when u go because well wow..

  • HAHAHA i love the look at 8:08!

i am from Irish nobility and i cant stop watching.......im in dance and i wish we could do more of this

  • any chance of the girls doin this part naked lol

  • i could watch this over and over again and to top it off the riverdace is coming to oregon yes i am so there

  • egh i liked the other choreography with michael flattely

  • more than great

  • what show is this from? this isnt from Riverdance

  • @auhroy it is

  • Every time I watch this video, I get blown away. Just... spectacular!

  • 22 people eat at McDonalds and love Nascar.

  • @Dachande23

I am assuming you are referring to the dislikes, so what does that have to do with disliking a video? I eat at McDonalds. I have watched Nascar. That has absolutely NOTHING to do with liking this video or not.

  • haha, that was great. I always thought that the flamenco's stamp and the riverdance were kind of similar. I like a lot both of them. Well, I must say that being andalusian I miss some guitar sound and a flamenco singer, but mixing both in the same show was a nice experiment.

  • Bueniimo este video, me encanto, la produccion tremenda.... Grax..

  • flamenco dance is from SPAIN.

  • 8:08 He is so checking her out! lol.

  • @twilightsdawn94

That's the whole idea. Make the steam come of the show

  • @twilightsdawn94

    Who wouldn't.

  • @twilightsdawn94 LoL ! ! !

  • I saw THAT life *_*

    It was soooo beautiful!

  • Take that, Flatley!

Anyone notice part of the Halo theme at 3:05 and at 8:05?

  • @6john6drake6 you mean when you play halo, do you notice the irish stepdance theme. Oh btw, Flatley helped to make this show, he can take alot of credit for all the innovative step dancing techniques shown in riverdance. step dancing was bland in other countries until riverdance came along

  • What's the name of the dancer (man)?

  • @krilenko colin dunne

  • @maplecapable - Thanks a lot.

  • @krilenko Colin Dunne

  • wonderful!!!!

  • How long is the whole dance "show", usually?

  • i love the light show. it makes everything look so exciting :D

  • Anyone else think that this should be an olympic event?

  • @polaris30000 Me

  • oh that look at 8.08 PRICELESS

  • I'm from Germany, and one of my Dreams is, to make holidays Ireland. I love the irish traditions, history, nature and music. And if I see this show, i have to cry, because I'm absolutely overwhelmed by this faboulous performance. Everything fits! This is unique, THIS IS GODLIKE!

  • @Blooder007

  • Wow! Think, if one just messed up in that line evertone might mess up or stumble over! 0_o

  • The line at the end still sends chills down my spine after all these years.

I just wish the camera wouldn't jump around so much...

  • this...they are so incredible!

    look at 7:27! so perfect!

  • That was fantastic!

  • Hey, let people think Ireland is a country known for "silly drinking and messing around" im proud to have Irish in me no matter what anyone else thinks, silly drinking and messing around!? GOOD! dont need to prove anything to anyone! IRELAND FOREVER!

  • @Brady2k10 but the problem is, you do need to prove to the world a lot, because Ireland is young and needs to show the world what its nation can do. Because Irish are so much better than the drunks we see in streets of Dublin, Sligo, Galway, Drogheda or even small ones like Monaghan. Ireland can do so much more than drink itself to an early grave

  • I could literally watch irish dancing all day :)

    Its so entertaining and fascinating

  • Saw this show show live in glasgow, one word: AMAZING!

  • I went to see this in actual real life performance. They were amazing.

  • Бля, это роботы, а не люди!!!!

    Как это вообще физически возможно??????????????????

  • Butler, Dunne, all teh dancers, singers and musicians of that era... this was Riverdance. How I miss it =)

  • Makes me so proud to be Irish!

  • they speak japanese in ireland?

  • Simply breathtaking!

  • 1st time i saw it, i was like (Now, what? Will they fly away by feet?)

2nd time: (Now, what? Will they fly away by feet?) Someday..I'll learn how to do it

3rd time: (Now, what? Will they fly away by feet?) No, I won't but I want to watch it ALL DAY LONG!

RIVERDANCE! DON'T STOP SHOWING THIS MAGIC TO AND THROUGH THE WORLD!!! YOU HAVE MUCH TO SHOW YET! DON'T STOP, GO ON, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

  • One word... Amazing.

  • wow good skills for that ........ i just need to practice more and ill be perfect jajajajaja

  • this is amazing! (:

  • ok im outta key here ive got a vieod of this ezxtact sam dance extach same to chiks but wtf is with the dude what happen to the hottiie with blond hair...i herd her went crazy but i mean he made it not this new guy

  • dude learn to spell

  • Maria Pages, you are the most incredible dancer! You just have to love her, and in Fire dance, oh my I wish I could dance like her. :)

  • I was somewhat amazed when I learned that Jeanne Butler is an American from New York. I just always assumed she was Irish.

  • @Rikki0 she's American-born of Irish descent. Her mother's Irish.

  • i might be wrong but i think @ 2:15 there was a tit shot....errrrr it was just an observation

  • Wow I had this taped on video! amazing not a foot out of place!

  • what is her name?

  • Maria Pages is the first dancer, and Jean Butler is the second

  • Don't know this guy's name, but I preferred him to Michael Flattely. Not putting down Flattley, he's good. Just liked this guy better.

  • the guy in this one is named Colin Dunne....and i agree....i like him better in this. love Flatley, but liked Colin in this

  • @Rikki0

Yeah I know what you mean, these two are a better pair.

  • me too!

  • the guy is colin dune

  • @Rikki0 me too..michael flattly is too pround..he makes the show all about him

  • @Rikki0 colin dunne, i think.

  • @Rikki0 tbh i prefer him too-i think its cos i cant stand the fact Michael Flattely is really full of himself and thinks hes the only one on stage when there are more

  • @Rikki0

His name is Colin Dunne. I thought you would like to know.

  • @Rikki0 Hi don't know how you can compare colin with michael flatley because he's been world fastest tapper in the world and his record has never been beaten yet? plus colin was coy and a sod with the ladies plus jean didn't enjoy dancing with colin as she publicly said herself the chemistry between her and colin was not there as it was with michael and and other lead dancers hence why she retired when she did.

  • @Rikki0 Yes! He's is very good. Have the man and the woman appeared in anything else?

  • @DonswatchingtheTube Yes. Colin Dunne and Jean Butler starred in Dancing on Dangerous Ground together.

  • @Rikki0 See White people can dance after all.

  • @micers

    bhahaha thats awesome

  • @Rikki0 his name's Colin Dunne... Jean Butler said herself that she preferred dancing with him... :) x

  • @Rikki0 i thinkk he is Flattely with different hair colour lol

  • @Rikki0 I agree. Flattely is an amazing dancer, but it was his attitude and personality that turned me off. I saw Riverdance three times... the second and third time I only went because Flattley wasn't in it, and I enjoyed it much more. When was there, it was all about him. When he wasn't there, it was all about the dance. Awesome.

  • @Rikki0 colin dunne

  • @Rikki0 I've always felt the same way. Colin Dunne rocks, he has such a presence on stage.

  • si este grupo es fansinante verdad comotumama

  • stunning!!!!!!!!every dancer and all the music.

  • amazing :D my jaw dropped for minutes at a time, i can't even find the words to say about all this :)

  • It's cool how they had the Flamenco dancer battle the riverdancer! Man I miss to lord of the dance!

  • superbe duel entre mes origines l'espagnoles et l'irlande. J'adore!!!

  • gOIN TO SEE THEM IN L.A. FOR MY B-DAY IN JANUARY!!!!! WOOHOO!!!! BRAVO!!!!

  • I can only conclude you have ADD. Try watching the entire scene next time.

  • flamingo is a bird not a dance... you mean flamenco

  • Pahaha! way to go guys. Shoot the morons down.

  • This dance sequence was included in the Riverdance cd's

  • Who's the male dancer? O_O

  • Colin Dunne and Jean Butler.. :) amazing isn't it?

  • I want to see them as wel O_O

    Soooo jealous ;-)

I really would like to be able to dance like they can :o

    x

  • Wow!

  • That was epic.

  • what was the story/motive behind the beginning piece?

  • I don't think there really was one. It just helped to set the mood and, admit it, it sounded really cool.

  • ive seen this routine sooo many times on the internet. it's kinda common im guessing

  • Iontach!

  • Ciertamente si, es fascinante... Saludos!

  • shinny shanny on the fekkin waatcer of lough naaaaaay!

  • Lough Nay.....good hunting....lovely place....River Bann good fishing...poker in the Marrian Hall...Kilrea...great memories....miss the soda scones and veg roll....the best!

  • What a beautiful melding of Spanish and Irish dance. And now with a new dance company, you can really appreciate how many talented people there are! Wonderful!

  • What is the new dance company btw?
