It's an F1 Racing stage 3 sprung hub 6 puck. I don't know if it's a good brand or not, but it's got about 1500 miles on it now and it's working good. For under $200, I figured I couldn't lose. Just look for F1 racing SC300 on ebay. It's a little grabby, but after a while of driving it, you start to learn how to adjust your driving style. Make sure you break it in properly.
I'm currently running a F1 Racing Stage 3 sprung hub 6 puck. It's a little grabby, but streetable. Pedal pressure is just a little more than stock. If you are not going to increase the power, then I would think a stock clutch should be fine.
I also have a 93 SC400 and it does not do 0 to 100 in anywhere near 12 seconds, so either your not timing it right, you're looking at KM/hr, or you're full of poo.
I never claimed it was fast! It's a daily driver and there is plenty of power for that. It's a 2JZ-GE NA-T. I used the XS-Power kit, AFC Neo, Innovative WBo2, and HKS SSQV BOV. It was a total low budget boost job, so I'm happy with the results given the cost involved. It looks totally stock outside, so coupled with the handicapped plates, its a nice sleeper.
what did u have to change on the ge to make it safe for boost? i was thinkin of buying a newer 2jzge to replace on mine and turbo it with the same kit.
I'm running the stock injectors, compression ratio, exhaust and everything. The non-VVTi 2JZ-GE's have the same internals as the TT less the oil squirters and lower compression pistons. I had to shim the accumulators in the tranny to hold the power and I keep the boost below 10 PSI. No signs of detonation at all. I have 165k on the engine and it seems to be holding up just fine. The transmission - no so much.
yeah something happened to my engine today. not so good. the belts flew off, and all my coolant decided to drop out as well, ( i think my water pump is gone.) id be better off just buying a new 2jzge cuz it has 197k mi.
I don't know how much power I'm putting down, but the stock injectors max out at about 330HP. I'm guessing I'm still under 300 as I'm being conservative with the boost. I think the W58 can handle around 400HP, but don't quote me. I think if I had a fresh auto AND shimmed the accumulators AND turned up the line pressure prior to boost, I'd be OK. I don't think my a340 will make it another year - at least not how I drive it.
if u had the 5 speed im sure you wouldve gone faster than that. it seems to me tht the torque converter on these cars suck... kinda like a dodge durangos.
Yeah, it has a really low stall. Unfortunately, I have bad knees that can't handle a 5 spd in a daily driver. Unless I buy something else, this will stay auto.
How much did it cost to covert to manual and did you do it you're self or have someone do it?

@DENNISTHARAPPER
That vid was made with the original 2JZ-GE and the auto tranny. I'm now running a slightly newer 2JZ-GE and a W-58 manual tranny, but on less boost.

@ifixipods hm alrite ;) thx

W58. They're cheap and plentiful. I just put in a new race clutch because the stocker only made it about 500 miles before slipping.

Not quite... Your quarter mile time is low to mid 15 seconds.

How come my 92 sc400 does 0 to 100 in 8 sec,thought yours will be faster coz its turbo?

Yeah im lookin Km/hr, r u saying ur doing 100 ml/hr in 12 sec thats like 200 km/hr?
Nahom79 2 years ago
100 MPH is about 160 KPH
ifixipods 2 years ago
alright,sounds right coz if i kept goin till 160 it might be around 12's.

neutral drop, if its your daily driver why you doing it? lol

For a better excuse to convert it to a manual transmission - which is done now.

good vid man, i love SC's. I just sold my auto 1jz SC to buy a black interior 5spd SC so now i have to swap it again lol..
anyone that wasn't sure if it was a 1jz or 2jz, just look at the revs.

props on the na-t job man.
