@AndyHarglesis What you actually don't know is that there is a Lioness program in the Marine Corps where female marines can volunteer to go to Iraq, or Pakistan or wherever the fight is. The reason females don't go to a combat zone is because hygienically they need to clean themselves more to stay healthy and not get sick. When you sometimes can't clean yourself or take showers for months it would become a problem when the women would get her period or something.

having had served in the Army, i must confess that the Marines are far better trained as far as BRM training goes. fortunately i had the unique pleasure of having served under the command of a 1SG who was a former Marine and had switched over to the Army; who consequently taught me alot of what is taught to the Marines but not to the Army-especially the many different fighting positions.
The fact that all Marines are trained to shoot (and shoot accurately) is highly beneficial. Like Chesty Puller is quoted as saying, "You don't hurt 'em if you don't hit 'em."

@AndyHarglesis What you actually don't know is that there is a Lioness program in the Marine Corps where female marines can volunteer to go to Iraq, or Pakistan or wherever the fight is. The reason females don't go to a combat zone is because hygienically they need to clean themselves more to stay healthy and not get sick. When you sometimes can't clean yourself or take showers for months it would become a problem when the women would get her period or something.

Overall US Army would beat the USMC but thats just because of equipment (Tanks, Apaches ect) and Infantry numbers 1 on 1 Marines on Average are better, Im doing entry level Vityaz Spetsnaz selection, moving up from 22nd VDV.

having had served in the Army, i must confess that the Marines are far better trained as far as BRM training goes. fortunately i had the unique pleasure of having served under the command of a 1SG who was a former Marine and had switched over to the Army; who consequently taught me alot of what is taught to the Marines but not to the Army-especially the many different fighting positions.

The 5th and 6th Marines were both awarded the fourragere, and the 4th Marine Brigade was awarded the Croix de Guerre for their valor. The French renamed the woods "Bois de la Brigade de Marin" or "Woods of the Marine Brigade", due to it's proximity to Paris...not bad for some guys who were there for "2 weeks"...

@caatgunr I got hurt during boot and then discharged, when I got home a punk tried to beat me in my own home and i beat him down with my sling, and i got a mideameanor because even if I wasnt a Marine I was still considered assault with a deadly weapon because of what i learned in the short 2 monhs of boot.
