Linux Does Look Better But Unfortunately Since It's Open Source It Doesn't Support Many Video Cards Such As My ATI Radeon X1270...and I can't listen to my mp3 because it's a proprietary music format...can't play my games on a linux...and Wine doesn't run .exe files very well...if those issues could be addressed then I would happily switch to Linux Based Operating Systems...

Ok for those of you that misinterpret this video. Yes I am aware that this is not Aero, however it is what people like to call "Aero glass". Beleive it or not a lot of people do not know about Vista Standard, and they read online that they have to change the registry. I made this to show you do not need to change registry. So before you flame me, get your facts right.

Ok i was not useing Windblinds or any other windows changing software. HOWEVER might i say this. Vista Standard ONLY works if your computer meets the requirements for Aero. I would try to prove it but i have since upgraded to Vista Ultimate so.....

The reason basic doesnt have aero is because its cheaper. i have premium, and my graphics card is old. So it depends on if you have directX 9 graphics card!

Ok so im a noob? Look at the first few seconds. Notice the screen with the big windows logo zoom in you cant really reas it but youll notice its not long enough to say premium. I think i know what i have and what i dont have. I dont try to trick people like some people do. Im Just trying to show ppl you dont have to change registry to get glass.

First right click on desktop and choose personalize.

Then choose Windows color and appearence.

Then choose under color scheme choose Windows Vista Standard.

Pay no attention to the preview as it will not show it to you.

Apply then it will come up like mine.

Also note that your hardware must be able to run vista aero in order to get vista standard theme.

My laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic... came like that... so I was worried for some reason, I cheked the theme, but the preview in the little scream was Basic... Now I have to get Home Premium (and up...) to get the glass.
