I think, Athrun is better, than Kira, Kira only have good skill, because he is the Ultimate Coordinator, his capabilities artificially greatly increased. I know, Athrun is the same, but he is more experienced, and he beat Shinn, but Kira can't do this. Anyway, Kira is one of my favorit character in the series, and my top is Lacus. ^_^

Athrun is good, i think becuase of his experience and training he is about equal to Kira when he has Justice, but Shinn is not in the same class as Kira and Athrun. Shinn might have been Kira when Kira was running away and swinging every where but the cock pit with an out dated machine. But when Kira got the Strike Freedom he was kicking Shinns ass, then Rey had to back up Shinn. xD But yea Kira with training equals TopCommander

Shinn not bad, if he using the seed, he can beat Kira with the Strike Freedom too. But the best pilot is Athrun, this is sure. Athrun in his normal mod can fight like Shinn in his seed mode. Anyway, Athrun one time beat Kira with his older machine (Gundam SEED).

The two of they like Hayato and Kaga. Hayato is win always, but if the two of they using the same ability machine, Kaga win... win with a machine, what he never use before, and Hayato use his machine.

not what i saw from Gundam Seed Destiny, Kira was whooping on Shinn over at the end of the series. True Athrun didn't go seed till the very end, well neither did Shinn.

Kira and Athrun pretty much tied in my opinion with their battle in the original series. Both went seed and almost killed each other.

Shinn not bad at all. He can beat Kira, and he beat it with the Freedom. Only four mecha have greater performance, but the Legend is just have this in the firepower.

I'm not sure in this. When Kira defeated by Shinn, I always hate this part. But when I read the official sites thing, and all documentation, and webpage, I must figure out, Shinn have superior skill. He is the next generation. I always liked Kira more, and I hate, when he is defeated, but he lost because the diference of they skills. Shinn is a tactic-style pilot, I hate this thing... Kira is the hero of the SEED... but the difference is difference.

But Kira stay my favorit. ^_^

In japan, the soldier more honored, than the officers, and the soldier respect the officer. Some of the best samurais is more honored than the shogun, than he serve. Shinn's only disadvantage is the experience and the patience. But you seen in the anime, he brings this up with his skills.

Kira's disadvantage is the pacifism and predictability. Athrun's disadvantage... he is not have disadvantage.

Yea true but Commander needs to have power, skill and can plan strategies. Becuase Commanders once use to be regular soldiers their selfs then they get promoted to Commanders. But yea i see your point, but I'd take Kira any day xD

Gundam Seed Destiny is considered by most to be either a second season or squeal to Gundam Seed. I don't believe Gundam Seed Destiny (GSD) was really shown in the US markets, but the episodes should be pretty easy to find on the internet.

@krortiz13 Gundam Seed Destiny is a 50 episode sequel to Gundam Seed (also 50 episodes). Gundam Seed revolves around Kira Yamato (the main protagonist) and Athrun Zala's friendship. Destiny introduces Shinn Asuka as the main protagonist for the first handful of episodes only to switch back to the real protagonist, Kira Yamato, and have Shinn become a main supporting character, which to the disappointment of the few Shinn fans, was the goal all along.

Red Uniforms mean a top graduate of a ZAFT academy. No authority but is more respected. Green is the normal uniform. White is the ZAFT uniform for Commander. They command a squad of mobile suit pilots along with a few ships. Yzak and Kira are the only main pilots whom also become Commanders.
