Emotional influence, not done to the point of disbelief, is extremely powerful temporarily. Logical influence almost always prevails in the long run. I think Paul has a very loyal base of supporters who will want to remain in the process until 'the last dog dies'. And then, after the right wing evangelicals decide who the nominee is going to be, will finally abandon the Republican Party, which has treated Paul shabbily, once abd for all.

Ron Paul speaks about important things the party ought to strive for. He shouldn't be president, but he helps the discussion by talking about sound money, cutting entitlements, etc. I disagree with his foreign policy (since we can't just cut and run, it has to be gradual)

People who make 40k a year take home around 24k after the government takes their share. Then we pay a tax on purchases, gas, vehicle registration, and property. WTF is Ron Paul doing in the Reagan Library? Reagan was a whore of big business. He completely killed the 1934 Communications Act that required all US radio and TV stations to provide public service time. And he let conglomerate broadcast gorgons to have as many stations as they want in a market. The result is that the small, private enterprise stations were gobbled up and put out of business by Reagan's greedy ass moguls.

The fact that so many Democrats and liberals like Ron Paul suggests to me people aren't doing their homework. I'm a libertarian, so Dr. Paul is my guy. But most people like him because of one issue, usually the war. I know what he stands for and I support him, but I invite others to do their own research so they're clear on what Dr. Paul is all about. He's not taking war money and giving it to students for free or using it for health care money.

@Keranofkri I'm taking a persuasion class in my political science program and I've learned a lot from monitoring marketing techniques. Emotional influence, not done to the point of disbelief, is extremely powerful temporarily. Logical influence almost always prevails in the long run. Ron Paul hasn't changed his stance an inch, and all the emotion from the first 5 years of the war has worn off, and we are seeing through the emotional bullshit status quo.

The federal reserve act was written by private bankers, not the Government. It doesn't comply with Constitutional law, and therefore is ILLEGAL. It should be abolished by the Supreme Court so that the US Department of Treasury itself handles our money. I will NEVER pay income tax. If they take me to court, I will inevitably WIN. Until the day that Federal Reserve Notes once again become United States Notes, I am ON STRIKE against the Federal Reserve & IRS.
