  • I find this music is intoxicating. It makes me feel detached from the physical. Bach was not the most stupendous miracle in all music. He was the most stupendous miracle in the known universe.

  • is this the original? i have a version that listens other and there stands it is the original..

  • is this a mistake at 1:10 ? i think..

    otherwise it's really good played!!

  • Sooooo this is the part of youtube that does not get the trolls? o.O

    Nice work right here ^^

  • I'm going to play this for guitar in a concert in four days. :)

  • I am playing this on the piano right now any tips on how to play this better?

  • I hate these ads

  • What a play.

  • So playful. How Bach would have smiled!!

  • i can hear him humming along... completely involved in the piece :)

  • this piano is out of tune

  • @TheOpposedMan haha I'm glad someone else noticed this

  • @Jake7613 I'm glad someone else noticed this! =)

  • @TheOpposedMan really? what note or notes?

  • @mugen441 mainly, the bass part of the piano.

  • Thanks. I had this tune on my very old Nokia set in the late 1990s and only today I could know what piece it was. Funnily enough, Nokia called it "fuga", much to my wasted search time :)

  • Glenn Gould is God.

  • very nice

  • Gould Genius Playing innocently Like a child

  • Too slow.

  • @jsnauwaert Interesting that you say too slow. I played this piece for a piano exam (Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto) and my teacher felt that Glenn played Bach to fast, LOL.

  • @mmcrosbie yeah but this is slow for gould, he normally plays much faster.

  • Everything is perfect, but I think the tempo is slower then it should be.

  • Wow! I acctually like the tempo and the clarity is amazing! Some of these invention is played to past by this man. Its not a race its Bach! But this was beutifull anyway! :-D

  • you made me laugh like hell, u're an idiot ahahah XD

  • @jewish1972: Glenn Gould had a form of autism that made him hum along, it wasn't something he did on purpose.

He is still the greatest pianist of the 20th Century.

  • Yes Vijonego...Gould often sang/hummed the meoldy while playing.

  • Is glen gould singing the melody? while playing?

  • Yes, thats how you can tell the authenticy of the recordings. Its like proof that Glen is really playing!

  • The best Bach interpreter.

  • Perfect!
