  • there is actually just 8 seconds of laughing at 1:05 ! quality tv <3

  • I can't stop watching this, and it never gets any less funny

  • Comment removed

  • Oh if only Phil Jupitus was in on this, he loves ripping into Stephen for his poshness

  • "You're all such beasts!"- was there a posher more old fashioned way to potentially respond to this? Haha. Oh and agreed that David Mitchell has nothing like this level of posh, as is obvious from his accent let alone anything else about his background.

  • my god...does stephen fry never learn to not mention where he went to school? every time, the panelists gang up on him!

  • Best QI line

  • Didn't Stephen get expelled from his prep school?....He's not posh, he's a REBEL! :D

  • I shouldn't be watching these, I got my wisdom teeth out the other day and all this laughing/smiling is hurting

  • I went to a prep school. It was awesome!

  • i went to private school...and had a school outfitters...lol - its not quite tailoring though... having a tailor is expensive... worth it though, got a couple of darling suits that i wear and will probably last for eternity lol.

  • just one more clip... just one more clip... ive been saying that for the past 2 hours

  • @tidalwave2k11 I've been going on the whole working day (9-18)!

  • I knew from the title it would be bills line :L

  • I love it when alan says 'I say' and Stephen immediately puts him down.

  • @cosycleaner

    Lighten up mon chéri.

  • This is why we public school peeps get so much stick xD

  • is it just me or did anyone else hear 'eye sex' at 1:12 ??

  • @Shany463 i say :P

  • Imagine if Phil Jupitus was there, he loves ripping into Stephen

  • "I do rather like this pink polenta"

...Was that a reference to earlier in the show, where Alan said "Thees pink polentaa, I luv eet! (phonetically, I can spell)"

  • @slightlyinsaneFTW yeah twas :) when theyre talking about squashing insects. i think this os from the episode "blue" in the b series, but i could be wrong

  • Most probably, slightlyinsaneFTW; there are a few 'past episode' references made during the show.

  • Where do all these pipes come from?

  • @DrumTrimmings88 im not sure why alan had one but everytime bill goes on the show he always has a pipe with him its sort of his trade mark i suppose lol maybe alan felt left out and wanted one too LOL

  • Unbelievably funny.... I LOVE this show

  • Stephen Fry actually had a really harsh childhood lol

  • bill bailey never fails to make me laugh!!!

  • This has been very educational; I shall never reveal I had a prep school tailor to anyone in real life.

  • @PrimaIScream

surely you've just fucked that plan...

  • @z3r0t0l3r4ns In case I meet anyone who reads that comment and also introduce myself as primalscream? perhaps.

  • @PrimaIScream

Touchè sir, although I would also point out that the only types of people you would likely reveal this information to would not be put off by the fact that your parents had enough money (or enough sense and willingness to sacrifice) to send you to a prep school. I am referring of course to most women and MAYBE potential employers/business contacts.

  • @z3r0t0l3r4ns

I like this comment because it suggests that a willingness to sacrifice for one's children is not an immediately bad thing. Unlike the words of one parent I overheard, stating quite catagory that they want: "Their schooool to be like my school, so they're like me, innit".

At which point my opinion for most of the human race hit the Mohorovičić discontinuity.

  • i get a feeling that underneath the table there are boxes of various pipes. they always get them out of somewhere.

  • I SAY

  • @Monaqute I do rather like this pink poooolentah!

  • Does Bill always carry a pipe?

  • @whowantsabighug no. he is sucking on his pen in this clip, not a pipe.

  • @McFearsome2 0:58 That is clearly a pipe.

  • @KBlackthorn you are quite possibly right.. i forgot about the rest of the episode...

  • @McFearsome2 It's all good. With these clips only being bits and pieces, it can happen sometimes.

  • @McFearsome2 Both. He sucked on a pen, then switched to a pipe.

  • @wimpylassiter2336

Are you fucking mental? Far too much time on your hands!

  • @DAVROSS44 too much time on my hands? what? i didnt study the video frame by frame. i just innocently pointed out that what he was doing didnt logically or physically make sense. i didnt write my thesis on pipe-infumation mechanics and logistics.i didnt start up an entire youtube channel to point out TV innaccuracies. and i wasnt trolling. What did i do that seemed obsessive?

  • @wimpylassiter2336 this brings this scene to mind:

Stephen Fry: Beetle-fanciers, as you probably know, are called—

    Bill Bailey: Coleopterists.

Stephen Fry: Very good! Coleopterists. I’ll give you five points for that.

Alan Davies: Press him on how the hell he knows that.

Bill Bailey: Well, when I was a child, I—

Stephen Fry: In Alan’s world, knowing something is a kind of freakish, weird thing.

Bill Bailey: Welcome to my world of knowing! The wonderful world of looking up things in books!

  • @MeitanteiHiryuu i love bill bailey.

  • @wimpylassiter2336 me too, good sir :D

  • @DAVROSS44 and you keep bothering him... what exactly are you expecting to accomplish with throwing shit?

  • "Rotters!" too funny.

  • Just wondering, do they all have a pipe with them incase they want to make fun of poor Stephen?

  • I love how Jo is cracking up :P

  • I lost it at 'Would sir like to get measured up for shorts?'

  • Alan is puffing out of the wrong side of his mouth.

  • @wimpylassiter2336

I didn't know there was a right side and a wrong side. Then again, am not a pipe smoker. Do share why he's in the wrong :)

  • @EnigmaDrath no no, i mean he is holding the pipe to the right side of his mouth. yet puffing out of the left side of his mouth. just an innocent observation.

  • @wimpylassiter2336

lol I was just asking an innocent question, but I guess it came off as sounding a bit snarky. Sorry. I am honestly curious to know what Alan was doing wrong.

  • @EnigmaDrath Ok lol its cool. He is just puffing out of one side of his mouth, but the pipe isnt in that side. THe pipe stem is what you puff on.

  • @wimpylassiter2336

That sounds like a hilarious double entendre

  • @SSj5Bob he is a friend of dickens, too.

  • David Mitchell and Stephen Fry should have a posh-off.

  • @bondfool no contest

  • @bondfool david mitchell isn't realy that posh he is upper middle class

  • @dogwalkanimations Mitchell is actually middle middle, at least if you believe the man himself. His poshness apparently is mostly the creation of Lee Mack and co.

    So, Stephen wins.

  • @bondfool Jimmy Carr might steal for the win.

  • @bondfool David's not that posh, Stephen and Jimmy Carr are, though.

  • @bondfool wow, this comment has more likes than the video o_O

  • I love this episode! Stephen Fry is the most epic-but-at-the-same-time-posh guy in the country ;D

  • The beggining of the end was "My prep school tailors..." :p Hilarious! Gotta love Stephen!

  • @ThePaperCUTS He's my favourite person EVER!!

  • @bluegrasslass Oh my gawsh me too! We should be friends! ^_^
