I used to race 250s at Brands in the 80s and that corner always scared the shit out of me. You are going flat out into the braking zone and, if you f*** it up, the barriers - just a few feet on the left, will have you. I amazed they haven't extended it.
how can brands hatch still keep holding bike racing to this standard without larger run off areas the 60s and 70s are long gone come on brands hatch get up to date or move over to just car racing .

I was sat up at the inside of Hawthorne when this happened, moved up to Druids for the Superstock 600 and saw that crash as well. Really sickening crash, I thought the guy was dead and it took ages to move him.
that is savage, i caught the highlights at the end of the race having missed it all and didnt even notice his body flying over the barrier at real speed when they showed the accident again.
Glad he is ok, not having much luck this year is he.
