@ExDemocrat64 I didn't say it charted dickhead... At least they put out an album instead of kicking back collecting royalty checks they are out there playing music for people who want to hear it.
It's sad seeing such a gifted musician and rock superstar playing these gigs....his erractic behaviour with booze/drugs got him kick out of Reo Speedwagon....maybe someday he will realize this
Absolutely true. Cronin certainly wasn't without his vices...but to hear him talk Gary was the only one with problems. They're supposed to play at an outdoor show where I live in about a month and I just can't force myself to go, not without Alan and especially without Gary
Does anybody know the date of this show? It must be about 10 years ago. I would love to see Gary play somewhere so after the show I could kick him in the ass for dropping out like he has. He is such a gifted player and musician. The world of music has a huge hole in it without him filling it.
@ghampton106 You are 100% right on the money! Chuck Hurst owned the club at the time. I remember it being real cold that night & a long line of people gathered early to get in!
Poor Gary. Really. And I LIKE him a lot...always thought he was one of rock's underrated guitarists. But leaving REO for this sort of small-club thing should be beneath him. And using THAT singer for older REO tunes just destroys them.
I remember being at the show and wondering why they were taking so d@mn long. I had enough time to go to bathroom and change my kotex, came back and they were still doing the "dark ominous keyboard thing" at which point I turned to my girlfriend and said "Tthis is never going to go anywhere". Sadly, I was right.

It's heartbreaking to see this, it's true, but Gary R. is still the man, and is one of my main guitar influences.

Gary didn't leave REO Speedwagon.......he was kicked out for his erratic behavior and his drug/alcohol problem

Looks like he's a food addict too.

They all had drug/ alchol problems...it's all well documented. The cock sucker KC was jealous and needed all the spot light.
