I bought the DVD on the day of it's release and I saw all four Terminator films in theaters. I would like to know when they would come up with a fifth one. All in all I have every Terminator movie on DVD in four seperate discs, and so far the collection is complete unless a fifth one would be in the works.
@littledebbie187 good news m8 there is going to be a 5th and 6th film this is a new terminator trilogy so there will be 2 more :) problem is the company who owned the rights to Salvation went bankrupt and are so far selling the rights to other companies interested in making the 5th and 6th films :) possible release date late 2011 or summer 2012

I saw this movie and I think it is an ok movie. The movie was just missing what a true terminator film is. A true terminator film isnt just about a T-800 but the elements of a terminator film. It was missing skulls on the ground which was in the other 3 films and some other machines that were in the first 2. Ppl just watched it for the action. The terminators didn't give me that feeling that it won't stop on killing you. If you liked this movie than it is your opinion and i dont judge u.
I saw the trailer here. Sam Worthington hides his accent better judging from the "Avatar" trailer. Here, he almost sounds Scottish, especially at 2:30
i hope they include EVERY single tv spot and trailer in the Terminator Salvation DVD/ Blu-Ray. Can't wait 4 the Blu-Ray release. Supposedly the DVD (and Blu-ray) release is this November.

This movie was just amazing. I like the actors,the action and the storyline. But I really like the boy who play Reese (he's fav.character in all the temrinator haha) and Marcus. Gosh, poor guy. But this movie is a must see!
I saw the movie yeasterday, it good really good. Acting as great (bales voice wasnt bad) And the movie had great action and good effects. The story was pretty good I enjoyed it. Marcus just became my new character hero, that dude was bad ass. Now I can tell from where Reese learned his moves. Damn the movie surprised me, I think that lady and the group who made Marcus half machine started the war, it was because of them the Terminators made the war. I am really looking foward to the next two.
lol what was so bad about it? Nothing was bad. The movie was good, you know people like you should not go to movies. Just go to parties and dont waste your money and just rent movies. The movie was not bad it was good, it wasnt "great" or "awesome" it was just GOOD. I give it 7 out 10. It is worth a watch. But every person has different opinions, but no other director would come out with a better Terminator movie than McG. The only one who will top him is of course James Cameron.

McG's the one who the blame should rest solely on,cause he flew all the way to London,to get Bale to do this movie,and Bale originally turned him down several times!!! Bale even tried to get Arnold in the movie,but he couldn't.This is all McG's fault,he's the Director!!
Marcus is a terminator with human organs. He helps John rescue Kyle from skynet. The end fight is a 3 way between marcus, John and a T-800 with Arnold's face. The T-800 gives John the scar across his eye you see in T2, and the same Guns n Roses song gets played as T2. The "off" signal is a skynet trick and they use it to locate command and destroy the resistance command leaving John to create a new one with him as it's leader.

ARNOLD WILL MAKE A SHORT APPEARANCE!! With this new CGI effect just recently finished in April they found a way to put him into the movie without him ever being filmed. They took old 1984 pics and the body of Roland Kickinger and created a digital Arnie. Please note that Arnold's model (T-800) does not go online until 2029 this movie takes place in 2018 but because of the events that happened in T2 the future is altered. If they go online earlier that could threaten the existence of John or all.
i think only his face will be in the movie with the body of roland kickinger..
probably at the end when john connor found the robot base.
or even maybe at the end when the movie its finish and for the last frame or just b4 ''the end'' it will show t-800 with arny face. just for a few sec..
the very first commercial on this video is the best. the music and the way it nipps away at your curiosity. i have a dvr and i watch it in surround sound all i have to say is amazing commercial.
More than any of the other actor's portrayals, I am most looking forward to Anton Yelchin's Kyle Reese. T1 was my favorite of all the 3, and Reese was by far my favorite character. Been keeping an eye on Anton's career, and am a big fan. He may not be the most intimidating kid, but I think he will have that fierce intensity and vulnerability of Michael Biehn. Plus he totes that shotgun like it's his job!
When I read the books I wondered if they were going to make a movie basesd solely on the war. I hope they include all of the future, The only paradox is that Sarah Connor was very much alive during the war and only died in an ambush toward the end gathering suplies in Mexico. Curse you T3!!!
xmagnumPIx - new Reese is Anton Yelchin, def bears resemblance to Biehn. I have faith in him. In interviews, he said exactly what you said, to make sure young Kyle is a bad-ass hero, and not make him weaker just b/c he's younger.
He said there's lots of T1 references/explanations, like the sawed shotgun w/ the shoulder rope, Nike hightops (LOL), learning to make pipe bombs, and he even paid close attention to how fast Reese would run in T1, and how pained he was...pretty great start IMO.
Ah, well a little birdie says that it may actually be the other way around, with John saving Kyle.
After all, think about it, Kyle does not yet know who John Connor "the legend" is until he joins the resistance. But, Connor has known all his life that Kyle Reese will be his father.
I was pretty angry that it got a Pg13 rating, but if you think about it, it will be just as violent as the others (maybe not as gory) and there will be less swearing, and swearing doesn't make a movie good. I'd rather hear intelligent dialogue then swearing in every other line. I think this movie should be pretty sweet.
adding more to the comment, when i go to see it and decide whether i like or dislike it wont be whether or not if arnold is in it or not (i could care less) but rather it stays true to the genre. the past 3 movies we've only seen glimpses of the future war, this movie is supposed to show it all. real combat is more akin to blackhawk down than most other war movies. if we get that kind of intensity with a great drama terminator like storyline then i'll love this thing.
T2 was rated R because it went the distance. Liquid metal piercing threw a guys forhead, a mouth, creepy licking dude on sarah, lot of swearing from SC but hey that's what mental hospitals do right? Making it R took out all the stops. The reason why people are going apeshit about the pg-13 rating is because the same thing happened with predator vs alien. it was a disgrace to both genres (until requiem came out and redeemed it). when i see it and decide whether i like it or dislike
This movie looks good! I hope this movie does great because if every thing goes to plain T1000 Robert Patrick will be in the next movie. from what I read.
I like the shots of the T-800 in the t.v. spots. Clearly more streamlined than the T-600 models. The scenes of it going up the stairs onto the gantry reminds me of the first Terminator movie when Arnold's T-800 was chasing Sarah and Kyle.
PG 13 or Rated R makes no difference is the same the only thing rated R gives is hardcore sex and hardcore language thats it. I didnt understand why the hell Terminator 2 was Rated R didnt show no sex no mild language it should've been pg 13. Terminator Salvation hasnt even come out yet not even on online bootleg dont understand why you 13 year old kids whining and complaining about. The movie looks good for me looks promising, just because is pg 13 doesnt mean it will suck.
1. I don't see how no Arnie = fail. At this point in the franchise he's not really needed. I'm seeing this for the story, not cheap Arnie lines and him tossing around people.
2. The Bale flip out thing is the result of a crew member interrupting an intense scene... twice. Why shouldn't he be pissed? Take it too far? Yeah, but he was in character and c'mon... twice?
3. How can you not take him seriously after Batman? It's just a character he portrayed, not his life.

this movie is like every other CGI new age Movie. Package special effects with alot action and good actors, the kids will pay and fallow, what a shame to a good series! This is supposed to be in a post apocalyptic world instead the actors look like they left the mall.

People that care about actual plots, story cohesion, character development, and originality, will most likely despise this movie.
However, for those that care only about mindless chase scenes, fight sequences, and special effects, this is a movie for you.

The fact that you admit that there was no character development is no way to defend this film.
Story cohesion:
- Where did the all the gasoline come from?
- Where does the electricity comes from?
- Why wasn't Kyle Reese terminated on the spot?
- Why John Connor survived, not through soldiering skills, but through dumb luck?
- How come John lasted longer than 5 seconds in a fist fight with a terminator.
- Why didn't the terminator nuclear power cells did not explode in T1 and T2?

The writers expect people to allow them to excuse any wholes in the storyline because of the time travel pill.
1. It is assumed that Skynet also knows of the past and future B/C of time travel. So, Skynet and John never have a first face to face encounter.
2. T-800 came 15 years ahead of time only to have Arnold in the film. That is lame storytelling.
3. Connor cannot keep a simple secret? Everybody seems to know of his prophetic destiny, and Skynet already knows the biggest secret, his father

McG's the one who the blame should rest solely on,cause he flew all the way to London,to get Bale to do this movie,and Bale originally turned him down several times!!! Bale even tried to get Arnold in the movie,but he couldn't.This is all McG's fault,he's the Director!!

Marcus is a terminator with human organs. He helps John rescue Kyle from skynet. The end fight is a 3 way between marcus, John and a T-800 with Arnold's face. The T-800 gives John the scar across his eye you see in T2, and the same Guns n Roses song gets played as T2. The "off" signal is a skynet trick and they use it to locate command and destroy the resistance command leaving John to create a new one with him as it's leader.

ARNOLD WILL MAKE A SHORT APPEARANCE!! With this new CGI effect just recently finished in April they found a way to put him into the movie without him ever being filmed. They took old 1984 pics and the body of Roland Kickinger and created a digital Arnie. Please note that Arnold's model (T-800) does not go online until 2029 this movie takes place in 2018 but because of the events that happened in T2 the future is altered. If they go online earlier that could threaten the existence of John or all.

More than any of the other actor's portrayals, I am most looking forward to Anton Yelchin's Kyle Reese. T1 was my favorite of all the 3, and Reese was by far my favorite character. Been keeping an eye on Anton's career, and am a big fan. He may not be the most intimidating kid, but I think he will have that fierce intensity and vulnerability of Michael Biehn. Plus he totes that shotgun like it's his job!

When I read the books I wondered if they were going to make a movie basesd solely on the war. I hope they include all of the future, The only paradox is that Sarah Connor was very much alive during the war and only died in an ambush toward the end gathering suplies in Mexico. Curse you T3!!!

xmagnumPIx - new Reese is Anton Yelchin, def bears resemblance to Biehn. I have faith in him. In interviews, he said exactly what you said, to make sure young Kyle is a bad-ass hero, and not make him weaker just b/c he's younger.
He said there's lots of T1 references/explanations, like the sawed shotgun w/ the shoulder rope, Nike hightops (LOL), learning to make pipe bombs, and he even paid close attention to how fast Reese would run in T1, and how pained he was...pretty great start IMO.

Ah, well a little birdie says that it may actually be the other way around, with John saving Kyle.
After all, think about it, Kyle does not yet know who John Connor "the legend" is until he joins the resistance. But, Connor has known all his life that Kyle Reese will be his father.

I was pretty angry that it got a Pg13 rating, but if you think about it, it will be just as violent as the others (maybe not as gory) and there will be less swearing, and swearing doesn't make a movie good. I'd rather hear intelligent dialogue then swearing in every other line. I think this movie should be pretty sweet.

adding more to the comment, when i go to see it and decide whether i like or dislike it wont be whether or not if arnold is in it or not (i could care less) but rather it stays true to the genre. the past 3 movies we've only seen glimpses of the future war, this movie is supposed to show it all. real combat is more akin to blackhawk down than most other war movies. if we get that kind of intensity with a great drama terminator like storyline then i'll love this thing.

T2 was rated R because it went the distance. Liquid metal piercing threw a guys forhead, a mouth, creepy licking dude on sarah, lot of swearing from SC but hey that's what mental hospitals do right? Making it R took out all the stops. The reason why people are going apeshit about the pg-13 rating is because the same thing happened with predator vs alien. it was a disgrace to both genres (until requiem came out and redeemed it). when i see it and decide whether i like it or dislike

I like the shots of the T-800 in the t.v. spots. Clearly more streamlined than the T-600 models. The scenes of it going up the stairs onto the gantry reminds me of the first Terminator movie when Arnold's T-800 was chasing Sarah and Kyle.

PG 13 or Rated R makes no difference is the same the only thing rated R gives is hardcore sex and hardcore language thats it. I didnt understand why the hell Terminator 2 was Rated R didnt show no sex no mild language it should've been pg 13. Terminator Salvation hasnt even come out yet not even on online bootleg dont understand why you 13 year old kids whining and complaining about. 1. I don't see how no Arnie = fail. At this point in the franchise he's not really needed. I'm seeing this for the story, not cheap Arnie lines and him tossing around people.
2. The Bale flip out thing is the result of a crew member interrupting an intense scene... twice. Why shouldn't he be pissed? Take it too far? Yeah, but he was in character and c'mon... twice?
3. How can you not take him seriously after Batman? It's just a character he portrayed, not his life.

If you knew anything about this film, they spent alot of money and time trying not to use CGI. Most of the scenes with the Endo Skeleton aren't CG.
Anyway as long as the story is good, it should be a good film.

It makes me laugh when people judge stuff before it's released. So far this movie hasn't given any inclination that it's going to suck. I'd rather spend my 9 dollars watching this movie then I would if I were to go see that hellish excuse of money grabbing called Dragonball.
The trailers are good, the effects look good, and Bale is probably what we need to be an effective john connor after Edward Furlong. Nick Stahl was a joke of a choice and we got a director who wanted to do things right.

You fail to comprehend you can still have violence and the occasional F word in a PG-13 flick. Sure, we're not gonna see a Terminator's fist pull out with a handful of human guts from punching some poor shmuck in the way...but we'll still get action and possibly a good story.
