Pour l'avoir essayé il y a 1 jour je peux vous dire qu"elle est géniale cette ds 4 ,même avec des roues de 19 pouces elle reste assez confortable et quel bruit moteur!!

Iam talking about the 8th generation (european version) of the honda civic which weights the same as the DS4. The honda is 1240–1422 kg and the citroen 1280–1395 kg. Both cars have achieved a 5 star euro ncap crash test rating.

something is wrong with this engine/transmission etc. a 1.8 i-VTEC 140hp honda civic (fk2) is accelerating from 0-100 in ~8,9s and this DS4 with 200hp needs ~8,5s which is not much faster, considering that it has 60hp more and a turbo. another example golf VI 1.4 TSI 160hp needs ~8,0s. its even faster than the DS4 with 40hp less.

consider the weight of the car too.the ds4 is much heavier than the other cars you say and of course a mush safer car than civic bucket...the philosophy of the ds4 is not such a sport car but a fast luxury saloon car.

I believe the ds4 needs about 7.0 s like the golf GTI with ~same power. 8.5 sec is an underestimated time.

@mikojan85 i found a test in the german car magazine "auto bild" where they tested the acceleration of the 200hp version and it was 8,1s from 0 to 100 km/h. faster then the numbers given by citroen, but embarrassing for such a powerful turbo engine.

@drmanos1 Honestly,as an Alfa fan, i think Citroen DS4 is twice as good as Giulietta. It just wipes the floor with Alfa in any aspect. Interior quality is better than Audi or BMW, comfort in DS4 is amazing, it drives excellent, seat position is perfect, steering is great, gearbox is amazingly good, engine is probably the best turbocharged 4 cylinder available on the market today, its very luxurious and feels premium, and Giulietta feels like an overpriced Fiat. DS4 feels special and expensive.

@derbigpr500 Citroen DS4 is a toy car, I have one, and I'm thoroughly disappointed with its quality. Way to much maintenance for the Citroen cars, next time it will definitely be an Audi, Mercedes or Skoda.

@derbigpr500 Dude but the exterios are subjective ! i like more the giulietta exteriors.. but i admit the details of the citroen are just way better.. In my opinion the fiat is like a cancer.. all that its touchs became worst =( .. but if i had to choose.. i'd prefer the alfa.. just for its name =) ALFA =)

@derbigpr500 What rubbish - DS4 has the unforgivable sin of having non-opening rear windows, which would be fine if it actually looked any good, but it's a fat and ugly car, with a high centre of gravity. Which makes it handle badly; it rolls a lot. It's not a sports car, nor a practical family hatchback, it's not premium...it's a disgrace to the DS name. The DS5 on the other hand is a cool car. DS4 is nowhere near as sporty as a Giulietta.

@rcglitch Go sit inside DS4 and you will see. Every surface in this interior is covered in real leather, no plastics at all on dash or doors. Amazing attention to detail, amazing craftsmanship in every smallest detail, lots of tiny detail, lots of real metals, amazing stitching, every buttons feels mechanical and high quality. Seats are ridiculous, they look like something out of a Aston Martin....go look at it. This car is light years ahead of Audi A3 or BMW1 in terms of interior.

@rcglitch Even normal C4 is already at the level of Audi or BMW in terms of interior. Full of really really high quality soft touch plastics, lots of real aluminum, nothing feels cheap, attention is given to every single smallest detail. Everything feels solid and of high quality. Its up to you to decide whether you wanna be ignorant and live in the past or accept that some manufacturers are changing their image drastically. Citroen DS line is premium luxury in every aspect.
