i have the demo of this game. the frame rate is terrible with full settings. i can only have it on high airplane settings and detail setings. i currently have 1G of RAM at 533MHz,and an intel pentium D processor 820 dual core at 2.8 GHz. im trying to get about 3 to 5 G of RAM to get a very good frame rate at full settings. Is that to much? and if thats not all i need to do, then what else do i need to do?
upgrade to 2gb but if you have the money get 8gb with a 64bit OS and get a better cpu/like the q6600 or E8400. that should give you a big jump in frames
Like the video, but it raised concerns for me because I am about to get the e 8400 and I only have an 8600gts. So a. is this Vista? and b. if this is vista, do you have acceleration with DX10.
Pretty smooth, all things considered. Probably a faster GPU is needed to get me into 30's. CPU & RAM utilization is usually under 100%. Next HW upgrade will be ATI cards in Crossfire config -- then I should be set for a couple years -- famous last words.
I'm a little surprised that the latest dualcore (800MHz overclocked) and a top notch graphics cards still strugles a bit.
Would you know what frames per second that was ?
I wonder if the transfer from PC to video shows the real performance, or if the video would always playback with little stuttering, even if the source is smooth.
I always use 1920x1200. Avg frames in mid-20s. Growler Guncam recording at 24fps which puts a bit of a strain on the system, prob should have stayed with default 15fps recording.
So how many frame rates would you get normally without recording?

1920 x 1200 ... that's 16:9 BluRay resolution.
My current 3:4 TFT max res is 1280 x 1024.
I really need a new Montor ... 24 inch.
The choice of the model is going to be very difficult.
But it seems that mid-20s FPS may not be enough for absolute smooth movements ?
From 30 FPS onwards would be alright I think.

Flightsimulator X is definately a "MUST HAVE".
