  • Gotta get me one of those gizmos!

  • At the start of the video, what is making that ambient sound?

  • @Sephirangel

    Guitars.

  • im sorry to ask about it.. but. im about to buy an artec power supply.. does it really make noise?? i wrote to artec and they told it is isolated power supply... thankyou

  • @jmarcano180

Nope, it doesn't necessarily generate noise, but it's just not the best or quietest out there, hence the price.

  • @DemoColorScheme Do you still use the Artec Power Brick? How do / did you find that as a power supply?

  • @flatulentmatt

Nope. As seen in the description, I use Burkey Flatliner SIX units. Less noise and more voltage options.

  • Wow.

  • what program did you use to draw the schematic?

  • @bergweg

    Microsoft Office Visio

  • Nevermind found it lol

  • @LetsGetHighOnMorris

    Good. ;)

If you can't read the diagram, the video description gives you 3 high resolution links to click to clearly see it.

The thing with recommendations is that I just don't like to tell others what they should use. What good does it do you if I tell you to get a bunch of expensive equipment? You can make ambient with a BOSS delay. Will it sound as nice as having a modulated analog delay or a lush tape delay? No.

  • @DemoColorScheme dont be mad bro, stop getting emotional

  • @tokyorose999

It takes a lot more than this to get me mad or emotional, brah. ;)

Anyways, you know where to find me if you have anymore questions.

  • @DemoColorScheme alright buddy im sorry i just never heard of this shit before just trying to buy the right shit to get started ,,, i love you <3

  • @tokyorose999

    haha, that's okay. ;)

Send me a message with what gear you have now and perhaps some examples of stuff/a sound you'd like to achieve and we can go from there.

  • @DemoColorScheme yo ive got a basic guitar setup (no pedals, no reverb / tremolo on my amp) and i have a small budget. what are three main pedals that would get me closest to making a sound like the sound in this video??? please respond and thank you!

  • @SuperiFox

Well, the sound in this video is definitely not achieved with a few pedals. There's a lot of production going on and not everything is just guitars. However, ambient does consist of loads of delay and reverb. Apply how you see fit. ;)

  • @DemoColorScheme ok thanks!

  • @DemoColorScheme btw i subed.. ur channel is awesome

  • @SuperiFox

    Thanks!

  • @DemoColorScheme welcome ;D

  • @tokyorose999

Look, you can always send me a PM or an e-mail if you really want to know what my recommendations would be, but I'm just not a guy that's gonna dictate by saying you SHOULD / HAVE TO get this or that. With ambient stuff like this, it's more about the mixing of individual instruments than just the gear on its own. Okay?

  • @tokyorose999

That's all up to your taste. There are no rules, really.

  • Wow, super! I think it's theme for man who flying to heaven =)) I don't know, it's just sound but really beautiful) Nice work man ;)

  • @FilziSH

Thanks, man! That's a really flattering description. I appreciate it!

  • Your really on top of your game!! Envy has set in!! Keep updates and demos coming

  • @Smoothtlknwhtboi

    Thanks! Will do!

  • congrats on your new set up..nice sound., i enjoyed it..

  • @bigskymind81

    Thanks.

  • Dude how many wires do you have running on the floor with that setup!?

  • @DelayFreak

Uh .. barely any? This is all MIDI-controlled and it's all in racks.

I have 6 cables that are visible:

    - Guitar

    - G-System CAT5 Cable

    - 2 cables to the JamMan Stereo (Stereo)

    - 2 cables from the JamMan Stereo (Stereo)

  • Had my first gig with the TL this morning. It was fun. More than one person asked me if it was a POD....... lol.......I GOTTA get a better MIDI footswitch!

  • @cosmogang

lol, since when is a POD green? haha

    And yeah, MIDI FTW!

  • Man, a EP-3, so lucky. I want one so bad. Do you work 2 jobs? I need to get extra money for toys!

  • @andy92811

You don't wanna know what other tape delays I've scored as well. ;) I'm now here with an EP-4 (but I prefer the EP-3). The thing is, I don't work two jobs, I hunt down vintage gear which is sold for cheap, have that fixed up and sell it for the actual price. It's about being lucky, that's all.

  • @DemoColorScheme Well finding them for a reasonable price is half the battle so good for you. I hope you make some videos demoing them when you got all the sweet spots figured out!

  • @andy92811

    Absolutely. I agree.

And well, regarding those; we'll see. I've already sold the Roland Space Echo RE-201 and the Echoplex EP-4 will probably be sold before I get the Axe-FX as well.

  • Otherworldly and ethereal.

  • @secludedmisfit

    Thank you!

  • Really, really awesome. Must be great to have stalled out at home, a bitch to drag to shows. Or is it doable?

  • @AlwaysRendering

Well, normally, I'd have to take along the G-System controller, the G-System rack and the Koch Powertone + TS212 cab + the Twin Reverb if I were to go out with Arafúra, but with this I just have one extra 5HE/HU rack with the Axe-FX in there as well, so no need for extra amps. So it would be just the G-System controller and the two bigger racks (which I can still carry with one hand) - and then the software rig with the laptop and keys. So, in the end, it's less gear. ;)

  • Oh and, chances are huge that I'm not taking along the Binson and EP-3 to shows.

  • so you got it ?

  • @smartti1970

I'm on the list, but it's almost here. (this or next month) - besides that, everything is hooked up. I'm just waiting for the Axe-FX to start some Direct In recordings and start doing clips and demo's again. I'll be demoing some tape delays (if they're not sold by then) and will feature new stuff as well.

  • I've scored a bunch of tape delays last month, as mentioned:

    - Roland Space Echo RE-201 (sold)

    - Maestro Echoplex EP-4 (up for sale)

    - Maestro Echoplex EP-3 (being repaired, finished next week)

    - Binson EchoRec B2 (being repaired, almost done)

    - WEM Watkins Custom Copicat (tube model from '65) (almost done repairing, being sold after that)

    - Melos EchoMate EM-501 (almost done repairing, being sold after that)

If the Axe-FX arrives sooner, I'll do some extra clips of those!

  • @DemoColorScheme Cool.... I still have my PCM81 and got back the Pcm80 !!! haha .-) the sound is realy different and its not subtile on certain presets

  • @smartti1970

Nice! I've seen a few PCM 80 and 70's around here, but I've been saving up for other stuff and just couldn't afford it. I'm first gonna wait and see how the Axe-FX reverbs will treat me. The Axe-FX reverbs are supposedly modeled after the PCM 70.

  • @DemoColorScheme Its gonna be awsome I'm sure....

  • @smartti1970

    I think so too!
