  • You could actually make a good ONS map based on this. Red team's core is where Giygas supposed to be and blue's is that tree in the beginning (or add Phase Distorter 3 (it can be used as transport too :S))

  • @NostalgicSince2005 in an effort to bury his emotions, a weakness he realized in earthbound zero, giygas transported himself thousands of years into the past and pretty much destroyed his physical self. pretty much why he was just a malignant background once things really got heavy.

  • 1:48 really gave me the creeps. Imagine yourself near the darkness' cave, waiting to fight and be consumed by the dark...O_OWhere's my cookie too?

  • i never understand that stage is the cave to the past but if you play earthbound 0  ninten is defeated by giygas already but then if ness go back in time to defeat giygas as a baby what would ninten adventure will be then ?

  • This is exactly how I pictured the cave of the past in 3-D Hell the colors are even more perfect tho I think the sky could be allot more Grey.

  • When he steps into the caveof giygas's liar quickly click the video "Giygas's Liar 3D" and if your PC's fast enough its pretty awesome!

  • hmm...i think that giygas in 3d would look moreso like a mist that your party has to face all around the scene that your in. There would be fient skulls all in the mist that are barely recognizable....i can almost see it now.

  • Good idea actually, but there would be a problem if it was a shooter game or fight or anything: Anywhere you shoot, you hit Giygas, except if there is some sort of place you gotta hit right in the target.

  • Maybe the skull would be moving and you'd have to hit the skull if it were a shooter?

  • It would be too easy, because his skull is everywhere in it's 3rd phase.

    Except if it was constantly attacking you and you didn't have time to shoot it.

    Or, it was invulnerable for some time, and the skull gets giant and you have to shoot it right there or else you fail and he attacks you.

    Like, he gets big, attack, he gets smaller and pisses you off by constant attacking, repeat.

  • Hmm...what if the skull is barely noticable, and he is constantly attacking you with his special trademark move "You cannot grasp the true form of giygas's attack" (i'm very bad at quotes). Like you slowly lose your sanity so your on a timer and u can barely see what your trying to shoot.

    But, since it's a shooter game, you coulnd't just see a circumference attacking you... lol

  • since you wouldn't be able to grasp the true form of his attack in 3d i guess it wouldn't be much different from 2d

  • You know I've always wondered what they meant by that. I would assume that Giygas is a master of PSI abilities. Did he perhaps use an unknown PSI ability or does he basically just send an invisible wave of pain at you? Is it physical or mental pain for that matter? Or was it really just a strange looking attack?

  • i think one of his attacks is PSI Flash Omega, because wen i fought him he did it and killed jeff and poo.

  • He also does PSI Thunder beta because sometimes I reflect his attacks with the Franklin Badge.

  • y is it called Cave of the Past... i mean ur not even in a cave, ur like on a giant land mass seperated from the rest of the planet... anyways... this seems like a perfect 3-D recreation of that area :P

  • Because in Earthbound at the top of the land mass is a gave, where Gygas is.

  • And because technically, it IS a cave. In Lost Underworld, there is a cave entrance where you can catch a glimpse of a broken Phase Distorter and some of the land, but that's all cause it's cut off from the rest of the pathway.

  • right, which was why it was so awesome. fit that part of the game and the scenery PERFECTLY, especially for an SNES game.

  • I don't think I could play this level. The original's color and the simplicity of the level was just enough to make me insane. For some reason I think this could drive someone to team kill. Lol

  • I'm kinda wondering how effective a level this would actually be. To me, it looks like a sniper's haven. Loads of vantage points, no real cover... Though it seems like memorization of which orbs teleport you where would help more than anything.

  • This level could house some pretty good multiplayer, but man, creepy. I don't know if the music'd get annoying/repetitive for players...

    Great work on the UT3 version of this level--it manages to hold the original idea and yet be a viable stage.
