  • I hate warner bros but I love Dr John!

  • Check out other NOLA piano wizards Allen Toussaint and James Booker--along with Dr John they ALL learned from Professor Longhair and are all brilliant.

  • DR.JOHN MAYBE GOOD AND I LOVE HIM BUT EVERYTHING HE KNOWS HE LEARNED FROM PROFESSOR LONGHAIR. WHO DAT!!! 4EVER

  • @gigi504ever I have never seen Mac fail to give credit to the Professor. As a matter of fact, a hell of a lot of us who weren't lucky enough to grow up in NOLA first went looking for Professor Longhair records _because_ Dr. John pointed us that direction.

  • I have just come back from New Orleans and it is unreal, I loved every second of it, was like a never ending gig.

  • New Orleans is not just a town, it is my heart!! Love Dr. John! No one can tickle the ivories better than him!!! Make him Rex!!!!

  • If you're a music fan, I say go to New Orleans for JazzFest - coming up soon and I can't wait! Yeah you rite!

  • whaaaauwww. First time I see this. Amazing: One of my favourite Dr. John tunes.

  • how needless to put the 'thumb down button' on this video.

  • Dr. John is a living legend buy this video is a little frighteningly cheesed up. Aeeieiieee! I guaranteee!

  • @eanschuessler you must go to New Orleans at least once druing Mardi Gras...skip Burbon street tho as all it has been for many years is strip clubs, the blues are not played on that street...ask the locals where to find the best blues around town & just enjoy...take much film or many blank chips with you as you will use all of them...;-) and that's a promise...from a west Texas boy who's daddy is from New Orleans & I go back as often as possible

  • God Bless the Dr.!!!!!!

  • Ah, the good doctor! One of my favorite New Orleans memories is driving down to the French Quarter on a Sat. nite, a few months before Katrina, with WWOZ on the radio and hearing a solo version of "Such a Night" come on--a perfect match of time and place.

  • They need to make Dr. John king Rex. Like, NOW.

  • Awesome Joe Liggins tune, but this arrangement is smokin'! Hints of Afro-Cuban, almost Mambo horn charts, Cascara style drumming, great shit!

  • I LOVE IT!

  • oh my dear Lord God.

  • This is such a cool song. Nobody else can do it like Dr John!!!!

  • what happened to the the Al Hirt solo?

  • Mac de man!

  • One of my faves, Doctor!

  • more and more Dr. John!!!
