@SpaceMonkeyZ101 Read the manual and experiment you dolt!! It's not the greatest sampler but it's capable of a lot of awesome things. If you just say "I don't know how to use mine" you're woefully bereft of creativity and need a lot more than technical tips about your hardware.  Just experiment bro. EXPERIMENT!!! I can't emphasize that enough. There is no right or wrong way to mangle sound. Dig in and figure out shit. Read and share tips. Make our beat-making forefathers look like punks!

The SP can be set to a special v-link video mode which allows the pads to trigger video clips chromatically besides triggering sounds. Its clearly explained in the video that the SP will be used to trigger video & visual effects as well as music.

This performance has inspired me a lot! I currently own the SP-555 & absolutely love it. When there isn't a sample on the dedicated pad it doesn't glow red. I see that the only pad that is lit up is pad #1 and the rest are blank but for some reason you keep hitting the other non glowing pads. I figured that you were jumping from the D/H bank but you're not. The D/H indicator never switches off. How come you keep touching pads that don't have samples on them?

Im triggering video clips via USB , thats why i switch the v-link button off n on , you can switch between playing samples and then using the pads to only send midi messages via v-link to trigger video.

You could use Serato with the new video plug-in. I think there are 2 others that i know off that support this feature as well , 1 of them is Decadance i think and another is by Numark if im not mistaken.

V-Link connects thru midi cables.

Im not a PC user but you should be able to set your PC to use the SP-555 as its main sound device in your CONTROL PANEL under SOUNDS & AUDIO DEVICES.

You must install the SP-555 USB audio drivers.

This goes for Mac users as well. On the Mac under SYSTEM PREFRENCES / SOUND , you can select the 555 as your main audio device.
