@shairaptor - I do have the right, ya dumb fuck. Since your obviously not an intellectual I won't waste another second with you. Next time you want to debate with someone don't start out by calling them a narrow minded. I was just kidding about killing the geese; I don't understand why you went ape shit. Geese must remind you of mother since they both share the same IQ.
Notice the cycle of their wings flapping. The are opposite (their wings up/the others down) to the bird in front of behind. I wonder if they learned that works better for airflow ?
@shairaptor - Hey, after your done making love to your wife/mother she needs to to go change your son/brother's diaper. Now, go have fun in wrist deep incestuous poopy.
They are amazing animals. Their communications with each other, their organization, their intelligence and their strong family bond. Their trust and friendliness to people however, is what can get them into trouble. They have to be careful not to hang around human populations too much. I love Canadian Geese and cannot understand why they are so harrassed and hated by some people. Too many two-legged morons in the world. Imagine any human navigating thousands of miles on his/her own?
@PattyAdjamine Exactly. I can't comprehend why they are hated by some people or even shot by some. They are so highly developed, social, intelligent amd mate for life. I'm in deep love with geese. Also, they're extremely beautiful and elegant. Especially in flight. A world without geese, not imaginable! We humans have highly respect them, all of us! Peace! :)
Oh dear. Maybe u need advice from geese experts. They can teach u how to prevent them from putting up at your place by putting up barriers, or laying concrete on the walking path, etc. In other words, make your place physically more unwelcome to them, so that they will have less tendency to move into your place. Come to think of it....... we all have to share one planet, like it or not.
Ah, well the walking path goes around a lake. Its about 8/10 a mine long, and is completely covered in poop. Lol. I could make all the geese disappear is about 20 minutes, but I don't think the neighbors would like it, and the police would probably get involved.
Poor u. Anyway, i m not so sure of your country's legislation in regards to wild animals. But i wish u all the best, that local authorities can work out something with u to solve this issue.
I really love the geese. The family bond is very strong. The have a mate for life, teach the gooslings how to swim & look for food, etc. A perfect example of marrial bliss.
@shairaptor Me too :) In many Southeast Asian countries, on top of using dogs, people also uses geese to look after their homes. If there are any strangers approaching the home, these geese will help to chase them away. Very smart.
@seuquin Oh yeah, indeed they are very smart, and also very watchful! Gees are better watch dogs than any dog! Recently I visited a goose father and could hug and cuddle with a very friendly gander for hours. It was my first visit and the gander was friendly from the very beginning! When a dog approached,he and his mate hissed violently at the dog, protecting us humans. It was sooo enchanting and magical!Looking forward to visiting the goose father again in spring when it's warm again:)
It's always been known they fly in a V for wind resistance. Like why nascar drivers follow right behind each other, it's called drafting but it's the same concept.
Perhaps the birds would show more respect if humans weren't polluting the entire planet, destroying entire ecosystems, driving thousands of species extinct and provoking radical climate change,
Humans treat the Earth like our own special sewer. Fortunately Nature has a way of solving its problems. Extinction is forever.
The pesty Canada Geese in our area are non-migratory. They were initially bred as live decoys to be used by hunters to lure the migrating geese. They are causing a mess with their excrement and are aggressive toward other water fowl. Just goes to prove we shouldn't mess with nature.
i wonder why is there copyright restrictions for most of the national geographic video? is there a need of copyright restrictions for educational clip? it is so dissapointing everytime clicking on a new video that looks interesting but cant watch it...
this is a good role model for american parents who dont know about family values. they should educate their kids about manners, respect others, work & support together.
Yeah I live on the hudson river in NY. As far as migrating I have news for you. They stay all year round. in subzero temperatures due to the wind chill factor. Somebody better watch these birds, because they pollute parks, and small lakes.
Your right when I was 12yo. I was at the bronx zoo. A goose walked over to me, and bit me on the back of my hand. So, I hit it wih my jacket . The goose attacked me. Flew at my face I hit it with my jacket until it flew away.
