  • its weird though, that a permaculture designed acre of land can produce more food than 4 acres of monoculture and if you are willing to work for it up to 8 acres, this without oil inputs (synth ferts, tractors aso) search for bill mollison if you want answers. Bring down agriculture replace with permaculture and save most the population of earth, stick to it and be reduced to less than a billion when all fertile lands have turned to desert. we'll come in and turn it back though after youre gone.

  • @linghun, the only reason we have overpopulation is because of the "green" revolution. Permaculture has got you surrounded. We'll set down the landing gear for the industrial world to come back to earth.

  • Reply to Benny Bruce: I read that you can't be assed to garden but how can converting salt pan desert to a productive garden kill people?

  • I think working together to spread the word of this valuable information is important , keep up the good work.~LokiGen

  • @ linghun You're always wrong when speaking in absolutes = anything. Permaculture’s wide application in suburban/urban and desert regions is beneficial; it builds soil, diversity and does not require synthetic fertilizer inputs. Defending current industrial monocultures is a futile. They are destroying topsoil, wasting water, polluting rivers/oceans, heavily dependant on oil/gas inputs for fertilizer and transports. We need distributed mechanized aquaponic systems + permaculture to supplement.

  • Permaculture = feudalism

  • @linghun how in any way shape or form does this seem to harm anything at all to you?

  • @bennybruceWYH Im just pointing it out that the dream of living in a cute garden world can become a nightmare. I hope this movement does not spread. Moreover small-scale, local food is more energy intensive than large-scale intercontinental agriculture. Its only possible to feed the world with mecanized, artificial, professional agriculture. Permaculture (if widely adopted) would cause billions of deaths.

  • @linghun my "cute garden" is thriving very well thanks, you probably live in an apartment high-rise building and your garden is concrete, how sad a life that would be.

  • @linghun And yet monoculture agriculture ruins topsoil, poisons water (ponds, springs, rivers, creeks, wetlands, seas, oceans) with all the oil-based fertilizers, deletes ecosystems, causes pollution by the use of machinery which runs on oil, and even causes the plants growing within the monoculture to be weak, and have less nutritional value than if they were grown with other plants surrounding them. Your thinking is unsustainable, and you are projecting it onto something else.

  • @linghun Monsanto= synthetic foods= poor health= death linghun= douche

  • @kydenj28 thank you for resorting to name calling for lack of arguments. You guys fall prey to the "naturalistic fallacy", the idea that things not made by man are inherently better. The truth is that it is all relative. Natural food maybe healthier in many cases, but it is also harder to keep and more frail to plagues and crop failures, which mean expensive food and famine. The truth is life expectancy today is 65-70 and before "artificial food" it was 30, 35.

  • I love you Geoff!

  • Very Cool! Permaculture = Abundance

  • What a wonderful project!!!

  • fantastic video.....

  • the frog is a VERY good sign. they are fragile little buggers.

  • btw.... the frog...how inspiring.

  • How I long to see this taught in all schools around the world.

Thanks for all those who contributed whether is be financially or their time and labor and making this short film possible.
