Pignut, 1 Samuel is the Old Testament of the Bible. Jesus came so that we would have life and have it more abundantly. Read the first 4 gospels of the New Testament. Find out why God needed to send His Son. God knew that man needed a way to be forgiven for His sins. Jesus brought us that and more. Man truly does have an evil heart. God's Holy Spirit takes our evil heart and conforms it to love, giving us the conscience we need to love our neighbor as ourselves (commandment). Beautiful!
