I hate to be critical, but these actors are miscast for the role. Their obvious age difference just messes up the dynamic for me. And the actor looks too young for the role. When Rose says that Troy should not be having an affair "at your age", the line loses its intended impact.
The community college this was shot at has a very shallow pool of actors. They were practicing their lines for their class when this was shot, and this was never meant to be a professional production, so there is no set, and no other scenes were done.

It was very rushed, I got the footage, loaded it in, and pieced it together in 5 hours using the script that was provided. I edited it the best that I could, and if I were to have full creative control and a budget to work with, I'm sure I would compose those shots better than what was provided. But, then again this was done by some students and an amatuer editor (me), and when people post their comments, I expect to have some bad reviews sometimes, it goes with the business..
When you type a message that is a comment on what I created, sure I'l take it personally good or bad, and I would take it as if you are basically talking to me in person. So when you make a comment, I can directly respond to you, and I don't mean to sound offended, I just said bring it to the table, I'll review your work and we'll see who did a better job. Your comment sounds like a challenge to me, so if you have better, post it on the tube dude.
This has nothing to do with ur editing skills, the actress n actor paused for too long during responses and some of the times the lines werent exactly correct. Im sure u noticed these things while editing...Im not trying to b a smart ass im js being observant.

I have done this play a fews times in high school and college. It is my all time favorite. There is to much pausing. Troy was so much stronger. The woman did not have enough range with the dialouge. Rose went through anger, sadness, not just screaming. They did okay though.

I believe i have a monologue i did from this play uploaded.. if it ever uploaded. I'll post it as a video response. would LOVE to hear what you have to say about it. :)
I remember doing this scene for a college acting class and I was Troy. I was so young and couldn't really relate to the character. It was very awckward because at the time I wanted to move around so much. I struggled but pulled the scene together and did a great job with it.

lol...i was speaking of the actual written scene between Rose and Troy..I agree this is a little disappointing, but its great to see people try to take a stab at August Wilson's work. I would love to see Laurence Fishburne do the role. I hope they post that to youtube
the acting was really good. despite the set, camera angles etc what counts is the acting.

I have played Troy Maxson before for the living word stage company version....I think this was my best role ever!!!! and this scene was DYNAMIC!!!
