Jed bartlet for president!!! o love the west wing im on the last 178 days of his presidency :( i dont want it to end, he will always be the president in my eyes, TY west wing
Why don't you speak about president Obama being a part of the C.F.R. And BILDERBURG GROUP!? Also mention he agrees with The U.N. calling for a world currency.
George bush said in public that he believes the bible and all that Jesus said. Martin Sheen says the bible is wrong and that he knows better. Sheen calls himself a catholic yet denies that Jesus said he came to seek and save the lost... we all need to pray for the LOST sheen family. Another case of hollywood professing their Hate for the most honest, sincere president bush. And of course supporting president obama who spent his life in a racist church. Democrats accuse others of what they are!
"George Bush was a man with severely limited intelligence and no moral core. He exemplifies the legions of self-centered, spoiled, intellectually limited and wealthy elitists churned out by places like Andover, Yale, & Harvard. Bush was, like the rest of his caste, propelled forward by his money & his connections. The real purpose of these richly endowed schools is to perpetuate entitlement & privilege." ~ Chris Hedges, Empire of Illusion
It's frightening to see how the entire world are so fucking hellbent on villifying Bush. I'm no fan of him, but most of the accusations directed at him are just complete and utter bullshit.
I think one of the South Park creators said it best; "I don't like republicans, but I fucking hate democrats". Goddamn hypocrites.
One that allows me to research things form neutral sources, and weigh options against each other, rather than buying into political propaganda from either side.
@ChudFapper You lying about that does not make it true. If you want to sit in your stars and stripes T-shirt cursing the foreigners and muslims listening to sweet home Alabama that is your choice, but do not lie about you not being biased or hateful, and realize you are wrong. Just open your eyes and stop being a nationalist and a hateful person. The truth about Bush is out there for everyone who wants to see it, not your own "i choose to ignore the facts about the bad things he did" view
I'm Norwegian, you simpleton. I'm not saying I'm a fan of Bush, but I'm guessing the world is entirely black and white in your eyes, without a place for a balanced view. He wasn't a good president, but the vast majority of criticism directed at him is just bizarre bullshit, ranging from conspiracy theories to slander.
But yes, I am biased. I prefer the peace, free speech and openness of western civilization, to the extremism and narrowmindedness of Islam.
@ChudFapper Well just because you live in Norway it does not mean that you can not be a Yank by heart.. simpleton. No its not, that is EXCACTLY why i have the views i have, from NOT only watching the biased media. Just open your eyes, look into a few clips here on youtube and you will see he is the lying satan that he is. Very simple. It is not theories when he has been caught in his lies, one clip says "yes", one clip says "no", his whole administration too. Lying satans.
@ChudFapper Okay, well first of all western people are the most uncivilized people there is, and Islam you can say what you want to buddy. But ofcourse if you say bad things it can have a consequence just like in a western country, you obviosly know nothing about Islam. It is the anti-Islam satans like you who are narrow minded :-) We are very open minded and PRO peace, war is a last option for anything in Islam, peace is the first choice, but it is the other way around for EVERYBODY else.
Marty, shut up about what the President should do. You're not in his shoes and how about your pardon him, like you said, it would look better. Anyways, have you seen your son (Charlie) lately, I wouldn't be taking any advice on anything from you.
@1desiretaco There's a video on youtube where Bill Clinton claimed that Iraq's developing massive weapons. Yet, retarded liberals only call Bush the liar. That makes a BIG statement about how stupid liberals are.
@ttiiyy Hahaha, they're not stupid, just hypocritical. To quote Ronald Reagan, "The problem with democrats isn't that they don't know anything, it's just that they know so much that isn't so."
@bandman232 That's absolutely correct! A lot of these lunatics do not realize that the majority of civilians killed in Iraq were killed by Iraqis and militant insurgents! Just think of how many times you heard of a suicide bomber bombing a mosque or military or police recruiting station. I find it funny how opponents of our intervention in Iraq fail to remember that Hussein was killing thousands of his own countrymen in northern Iraq using chemical warheads; but, hey, we're the bad guys.
@zion653 THANK GOD SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY HAS SOME KNOWLEDGE ON YOUTUBE!!! Thank you. I am so sick of all this anti-american bullshit. Getting harassed watching top gear and F1. And from this video, one gets the sense that Martin sheen is actually being controlled by the reapers. Just needs the creepy blue eyes.
Bush was a dangerous fool but Chaney & Co were evil people. Now Bush enjoys riding around his ranch in Texas while thousands of young U.S. Troops are murdered on a daily basis in Iraq & Afghanistan.... "mission accomplished."
@bandman232 I agree Obama should take the troops home immediately....illegal war based on Lies, lies, lies "weapons of mass destruction"...etc,etc. The situ. in Iraq is much worse now than it ever was.
@clarebannerman hey, I have to call "foul" on something you said. The war was not "based on lies about weapons of mass instruction." In fact, there WERE WMDs located in Iraq -- over 500,000 chemical warheads. This was in violation of the sanctions placed on Iraq by the United Nations following the 1991 invasion of Kuwait, and was just one of over a dozen other such violations.
@bandman232 I called BS on Obama's promise to bring the troops home "by June 2009" from the moment he made that pledge. Speaking strictly from a military standpoint, not political, McCain was correct that the situation in Iraq was dire and any attempt at a timed withdrawal would be detrimental to the troops. The thing is, Obama knew HIMSELF that he could not withdraw our forces within that timeframe. Of course, when it comes to getting elected, you will say whatever it take to please the masses.
@clarebannerman I refer you to the CIA's Final Report "No W.M.D's Found In Iraq". There were of course conventional weapons found which were sold by the U.S. to Iraq by Prince of Darkness Donald Rumsfeld to kill Iranians. Bush the fool was a puppet for his war criminal cronies. Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis have been murdered for the sake of oil.
@clarebannerman Yes, I am familiar with the report (and that title is from a MSNBC article which was strictly biased and anti-war and anti-Bush). The CIA's report was referring solely to the absence of nuclear warheads; chemical warheads were found in Iraq in great number. What the media did was downplayed what the definition of a WMD is. WMDs consists of any form of nuclear, chemical, or biological weapon. So, technically, WMDs were found.
@clarebannerman Also, "murdered for the sake of oil"? A question for you: If we were going there for oil, why haven't we taken it yet? Why did we pay to have their infrastructure rebuilt and strengthened their government to ensure that the oil remains the property of the Iraqi people? Oh, and I bet that you wouldn't mind if we DID take over their oil so that we could finally get gas prices back down to $1 per gallon. I'm quite sure that you wouldn't complain about that.
Lol, you need to get a better understanding of how geopolitics works. What the fuck are you talking about when you say 'why haven't we taken it'? You think they could just pump all the oil into containers in a few years and leave? Unbelievable how stupid some people are. They now have a strategic base and will be controlling the Iraqi regime like they have been controlling most of the other arab governments. Also, Saddam was a threat to Israel which was another huge reason for invasion
@323157 You know, I started to give you an intelligent response until I read your post where you alluded that President Bush "is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent children." Now, I realize that you are just another pawn who bases all of your assumptions on whatever is the latest opinion of the liberal media or conspiracists. Obviously, you have no grasp of the reality of the situation on the ground. Try doing some unbiased research before making your ludicrous remarks.
@323157 We could "take" their oil, not by pumping it into containers, but by taking the actual land that the oil is underneath, claiming it for the US, and then monopolizing it so that the Iraqis would have to pay "us" to even use it themselves. What you "oil" conspiracists fail to realize is that we do not NEED a conspiracy to take the Iraqis' oil. If oil was our motivation, we could have simply TOOK IT. Why, then, would we rebuild their infrastructure and government to maintain Iraqi control?
@zion653 sinse when are things that easy? just take their oil right? just walk on over there and say we're taking this land for our country, thats not the way the world works its all about strategy and covert operations and spin doctors and lies to justify actions that cannot be justified etc etc also rebuilding iraq will be big business for american firms and its only going to be possitive for the economy ,
Easy to say that with the luxury of hindsight there Sheen. Oh, and doing that would have been complete bull. What next, the president should pardon and give credence to those burning American flags while screaming "Death to America"? I bet that you unpatriotic radicals would love to hear the president state: "I understand your pain. Please, continue to spit on the image of my likeness while denigrating my country and its people. We deserve it"!!!
@joeinatl I don't like either (I'm a Ron Paul supporter and a libertarian), but I think no one else could have possibly done more damage to this nation than Obama has.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Dear Martin, your political sensibilities are about as sound as your paternal ones. You have zero credibility. Stick to mediocre acting and spare us. At least we now know where Charlie gets it from.
The problem with pro-war speeches is, they are usually made by the benighted & uncultured who believe true patriotism is displayed best by a US Flag bumper sticker and a bottle of Coors Light.
No i'm none of your political party bullshit, i just believe in freedom of mind, body and soul. Self reliance, self sufficiency instead of a bunch of power hungry arseholes telling me how to live. I'd have all the current power structures both political and financial stopped right now. Before money there was no such thing as poor. Greedy controlling bastards have used it to controll the majority of the worlds population for thier own power hunger over people & greed of money, land & possesions.
Note j ross gets aword in earphone to stop this guy going on any further. BBC wont allow free speech about something they cover only to please the government by making the world look like terrorists while the uk and usa are the knights in shining armour to save the world at the same time going around the world killing everyone for oil, land and minerals. Fucking joke and a disgrace. My brother was in the marines and he is a brainwashed zombie who helped blow up innocent folks for these cunts.
Gee whiz, Martin...how come you're being so quiet on Obama's action in Libya? Huh. I was expecting you to call another big press conference with your Hollywood self-righteous pals to announce your absolute denunciation and outrage. Hypocrite.
@Boris82much what the fuck has libya got to do with iraq/afghanistan ????..........libya is a fully supported internationally, UN and NATO approved war to remove a dictator obviously killing his own people...........the situation is differerent in libya than to iraq, UK US and France support the rebels to bring an end to fighting and try to start democracy in libya.
Er yes they can idiot. You cant see an imperialistic occupying force/ alliance of countries going round the world for oil and kicking ass in the process. 9/11 was an inside job to make it ok in peoples minds to start a war on oil rich countries that are apparetnly all terrorists. Dont be dumb and do plenty of research on you tube by looking at all the 9/11 coincidences and shit that does not add up. Stop listening 2 the mainstream goverment controlled media that they own. Wake up
@topgear100 Aaah, well thank you for enlightening me! Now I get it. Slap my forehead DUH. So the Russians and the Taliban and Sadam Husseinie did not slaughter Afgans and Iraqis...which was why we responded to millions begging for our help??? Think.
You just cant see it can you. What you see on mainstream news is what our governments want you too see! Only the apparent good we do, while the real nasty bad shit going on behind the scenes gets swept under carpets so fools like you blindly follow! Only yesterday the usa/uk were best mates with ghadafi and shaking hands because of oil!!! Now they want rid of him so they can put in a democratic gov ruled by usa/uk law so we get all the oil! Folks been killed for years there.
@Boris82much millions didnt beg for our help at all......obviously many people were being slaughtered...(although im not sure who 'saddam husseinie' is), but the situation is different, iraq had no international support nor was it a just war in the sense that proper resolutions were granted before action was taken. and the russians really are irrelevant in this discussion since they left afgahnisatan when the cold war ended....some 20 years before our 'occupation' of iraq.
@Boris82much I can be a lefty, you can be a conservative, we both have the right to view the world with our unique ideologies. That's how it's supposed to be. But... don't lie. There weren't "millions begging" for a intervention in Iraq. WMDs were claimed as the reason. Whether the WMDs (or lack thereof) were an excuse to invade a country or an honest mistake, that's a whole different argument. But don't tell me there were "millions begging" for a intervention in Iraq because that's just a lie.
@quedasobravo Yea right. Go finish middle school and concentrate on liberal media B.S.. How many millions of Iraqis braved the very real possibility of torture and death by walking miles to vote in their first election? You really think they would have 'taken it to the streets' while Hussein was in office?????????? Oh wait I forgot--he was good to his people and liked flying kites with the kids. You're a moron.
How is that great beacon of Democracy called Iraq doing? Liberal media says it's not going very well. But, you know they are just a bunch of hippies who lack the guts to act decisively in G_d's name. So how is that Iraq stalwart democracy doing? By the way America had free elections almost 3 years ago. How is that country doing?
@drbayoms Liberals don't lack the guts to "act in God's name", they have the intelligence NOT to use myth and legend to dictate policy, and besides, the constitution prohibits it. Your use of the term "hippies" tells us that for one, you are an old bigot, and for another, you don't know what a Liberal OR a "hippie" is. We are all still waiting for the Iraqw war to pay for its self, and I have yet to see anyone in Iraq hugging troops or joyously celebrating our presence there. It's a bust.
I almost sent you an insulting reply. But instead of demeaning you I will simply and maturely make a suggestion. Read ALL statements posted on this page by "drbayoms", SLOWLY. Then send me a short apology. READ SLOWLY. I'm not nearly as old as you think. But my maturity has taught me to take the time to understand what someone else is saying. That way I can effectively communicate with them.
@drbayoms You DID send me an insulting reply, but I expected as much. I'm 50 years old, and don't need YOU to tell me how or what to read. But keep insulting people. Jesus would be proud.
THERE IS NO LIBERAL MEDIA ANDTHERE IS NO GOD. Did you "fully understand" that? Now if you would like to continue from there, we can "effectively communicate".
I see instead of simply apologizing like a 50 year old man you decided to cling to what we both now know was a misunderstanding on your part. You read my post incorrectly and responded out of anger. By the time I reach 50 years old (...years from now) I hope that I am more easily able to admit when I am wrong. Here's hoping one day you reach that moment of clarity.
@drbayoms I responded to a post I found offensive, and have no intention of apologizing. I read all postings by you (one) and it said what it said before. You claimed a "liberal media" exists, showing you are a Republican that follows Faux news. You used "hippies" as an insult although I doubt you have ever met one. Then you called them cowards who don't believe in your mythical "God". (most of them were devout Christians in the TRUE sense of the word) Then you insult me. Grow up please.
Boris82much made a reference to another individual about Iraqis being able to vote as a result of the Iraq invasion. When that individual called him on his bullshit comment, he suggested that this individual must watch "Liberal media". Upon reading Boris82much comments I sarcastically asked him “how the Iraq invasion was going“? I also suggested to him/her that the view by many Americans of the Iraq war being a failure "must be" (of course) a “conspiracy” of liberal media.
I also asked him “how is that stalwart democracy doing”? Again, another sarcastic remark. Liberal media, stalwart democracy and every thing else in that post, was sarcasm. The sad thing is ‘Boris82much’ actually “got it” and you are the only idiot who did not. I think you are teetering on what is know as Early-onset Alzheimer's. Nope, not a Repub. But uneducated individuals like yourself are making the GOP’s job easier, and the Liberal's job a lot harder.
@drbayoms You speak like a Republican. leave the childish insults to them, it's their schtick. As for "uneducated" remember, YOU used insults, not me. There are SO many people out there spreading lies, and sarcasm is tough to pull off in this type of forum. Get over it. Iyt appears we are on the same side.
@quedasobravo I didn't say Iraqis weren't being oppressed, nor did I say Saddam Hussein was a good guy. Show me where I said that. On those points you're absolutely right. What I'm saying is that iraqis weren't "begging" for an american invasion nor was that the reason for you going there. See Colin Powell's speech on the UN, where he asks for international unity. Fear of WMDs is his main argument, not human suffering. That's a fact - you can check the transcripts.
Folks who are not sheeple and wake up do get lost. Yo cant see it coz your a drone dumbed down sheep who is following a path someone of folks who have your best interests at heart by making you work until death to make them rich. Do some research instead, wake up and then jog on. Your ignorance is a real shame.
Well life is so crap that folks like me n charlie sheen arent as awesome as your amazing briliant knowledge like a fart, self. Its really funny when you get retards like you who do zero research on things, who blindly follow mainstream government controlled media and then spout off shit and attack folks who use freedom of speech to find out the truth. But i guess your a braindead sheep zombie who eats burgers and dont give a fuck about the world. Your the boring drone sheep
"I think martin sheen actually thinks he's JFK, he's one to talk his own son is a moron"
Hey, that's right. You just found something Martin Sheen & George H.W. Bush have in common. Thank G_d neither of their sons will ever be in charge of the most powerful country in the world, oops.
Hmmm... I wonder how Obama would respond if he was in the same situation.
Also "8 years of dictatorship" is hardly accurate. Martin Sheen needs understand that there are two other branches of the government and the President alone cannot simply do as he (or she) wishes.
@Mi37591 - Bush has Guts...something that Obama lacks. He is getting involved in Libya, where is the outrage?? Why the HELL is America there? WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO BUSINESS THERE! So why is the media NOT criticizing Obama? Bush did exactly what he is doing. Removing an evil dictator. He gets slammed and Obama gets praised? HELL NO, I WANNA SEE SOME MEDIA COVER IT LIKE THEY COVERED BUSH. DON'T SING A NEW SONG NOW CNN, MSNBC?? Yellow Bastards! OBAMA THE WAR CRIMINAL...cmon???
@iblackbeard Well one big difference for starters is that Bush wasn't invited to intervene in Iraq by the League of Arab nations - Another might be that he did not have multilateral support from the UN - Another being that in Libya we are dealing with a revolution, rather than an occupation. There's a good number of different values involved here, hence the 'apparent' lack of outrage.
@crankymcstab - "invited" oh yes right, lets wait to be invited by the arabs. The ones that practically hate our guts? They like us only when its in their favor. Thats like saying (my house is burning down, but don't call the fire department, until i "invite them"). If Bush had no reason to invade Iraq, then Obama has no reason to be involved in ANY way in Libya. He talks about Ghadafi as a rogue dictator, then shakes another's hand in south America? What kinda sheeat is that?
@iblackbeard that analogy makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. In fact, it's the opposite:
Libya: "house is on fire, resident does what he can to stop it, but can't call fire department for help, so neighbours do."
Iraq: "house is on fire, fire department called in, it doesn't finish the job, residents got burned, years later fire department goes in to finish job, but destroy the house in the process (with the residents in it), they spend the next 8 years trying to rebuild the house."
@crankymcstab I should add to the latter example... "they spend the next 8 years trying to rebuild the house - while being constantly sabotaged by squatters who don't want the house rebuilt less they find themselves homeless."
People of Iraq did not raise protests against Saddam and get massacred for it, People of Libya did, People of Libya want help, people of Iraq didnt. I supported Bush when he went into Afghanistan because they attacked America and killed over 4'000 innocent people. Iraq had nothing to do with that. Explain the logic of sending 15000 troops to a country that did attack u & then 150'000 troops to a country that didnt
@dragonman14x - the logic is simple, he was harboring terrorist camps, he was an tyrant that gassed his own people, and can't be allowed mistreat his people any longer, just like Obama said about Ghadafi. How could you leave Saddam in power if you are toppling Tyrants, just like Obama is doing? You can't have it both ways.
The people of Iraq man didnt want the US there man, they didn't rise up in protest demanding change. The US supported the tyrant Saddam in Iraq in first place or have you forgotten. Obama only reacted (with approval of UN) because of the protests in Libya by its people who want freedom. Btw Iraq has no links to AL queda plus at the time of the invasion the people of Darfur needed help more then anyone at the time due to the genocide going on there.
Martin - please, you're a Catholic. Your institution forgives and defends pedophiles and various mafia folk. Do you want us to take you seriously? Don't make me laugh.
@Deanboy2007 Wow. How right you are. I had absolutely no idea that someone believing in the teachings of a corrupt organised religion would completely void any political opinions they might have. Thank you so much for sharing your much valued criticisms with the world!
some of you may disagree with his political views, but even former Pres. Bush's father viewed him as a srew up. He often commented that it should have been Jeb to be Pres. That Jeb Bush was more equiped for the tasks. Either way, our country has lost a lot in the last 12 years, The events that followed 9/11 were misguided. How is it that we sent more troops to iraq then we did to afghan? Why didnt we send any to Saudi Arabia? Could it be because thats were most of our oil comes from. Be honest.
@1982Nightwing Sure, he's seen as more of a leader. But the fact is everything seems to be out of the presidents hands now...he presents ideas that are rebuked. The administration is a failure.
It's funny how a supposed "dictator" for 8 years leaves office peacefully and helps his sucessor's transition, by all media accounts, one of the best and most helpful White House transitions in US history. The gross hyperbole of the dictator comment is afront to real dictators and monsters like the Fidel Castro who Sheen applauds....it's disgusting. Maybe he should think more about helping out his troubled son then talking about geo-politics.
Such a wonderful man .... true courage is what this gentleman has. If Josiah "Jed" Bartlet was in that press conference he would've pardoned that poor Iraqi man.
My sympathy to all the Iraqi people who suffered the most based on lies and deception because of some ULTRA MORON named George W Bush Jnr and his parasytical father.
he didn't say he LIKED humanity, he said he LACKED humanity. Do you GET THAT?? That goddamned monkey was the WORST PRESIDENT THE UNITED STATES EVER HAD OR WILL HAVE.
@warlockplaya well, in theory, that IS going to happen. But apparently, I'm going to be running it from backstage. So no one will ever really know who I am. My eta is 14 months on the inside, 22 on the outside, give or take.
Truth is guys a country does not need to be run. People should be self reliant and self sufficient like nature intended. Instead we're stuck in this big system that is only gettin bigger that was set up by folks who like control of others to make them rich. The problem is gemerations of retards who cant think for themselves and like sheep follow others istead of gettin on with their own lives they wait for someone to run it for them. What a mess.
@sevenonpaper1 lol, believe it or not... That isn't true. You must be thinking in the United State's recent history. Buchanan, Harding, Andrew Johnson, Nixon. There are worst presidents than Bush.
I meant high standards of living (that can be benchmarked). It's just that there is danger in flag waving (extreme patriotism or nationalism). That kind of thinking starts wars. I think what annoys people around the world about the USA is just its refusal to take responsibility for its actions and needless emphasis on the military.
Cerberus is lucky to have Martin as their big boss.

@1desiretaco There's a video on youtube where Bill Clinton claimed that Iraq's developing massive weapons. Yet, retarded liberals only call Bush the liar. That makes a BIG statement about how stupid liberals are.
ttiiyy 5 months ago
@ttiiyy Hahaha, they're not stupid, just hypocritical. To quote Ronald Reagan, "The problem with democrats isn't that they don't know anything, it's just that they know so much that isn't so."

@1desiretaco The problem with Reagan that he was a disgusting bigoted, war criminal who betrayed his country.
alamedastreet 2 months ago
@bandman232 That's absolutely correct! A lot of these lunatics do not realize that the majority of civilians killed in Iraq were killed by Iraqis and militant insurgents! Just think of how many times you heard of a suicide bomber bombing a mosque or military or police recruiting station. I find it funny how opponents of our intervention in Iraq fail to remember that Hussein was killing thousands of his own countrymen in northern Iraq using chemical warheads; but, hey, we're the bad guys.

Bush was a dangerous fool but Chaney & Co were evil people. Now Bush enjoys riding around his ranch in Texas while thousands of young U.S. Troops are murdered on a daily basis in Iraq & Afghanistan.... "mission accomplished."
clarebannerman 6 months ago
@clarebannerman Funny how Obama says he was going to bring everyone back home and now it's even worse. Yet another broken campaign promise. Sigh...
bandman232 6 months ago
@bandman232 I agree Obama should take the troops home immediately....illegal war based on Lies, lies, lies "weapons of mass destruction"...etc,etc. The situ. in Iraq is much worse now than it ever was.
clarebannerman 6 months ago
@clarebannerman hey, I have to call "foul" on something you said. The war was not "based on lies about weapons of mass instruction." In fact, there WERE WMDs located in Iraq -- over 500,000 chemical warheads. This was in violation of the sanctions placed on Iraq by the United Nations following the 1991 invasion of Kuwait, and was just one of over a dozen other such violations.
zion653 6 months ago
@bandman232 I called BS on Obama's promise to bring the troops home "by June 2009" from the moment he made that pledge. Speaking strictly from a military standpoint, not political, McCain was correct that the situation in Iraq was dire and any attempt at a timed withdrawal would be detrimental to the troops. The thing is, Obama knew HIMSELF that he could not withdraw our forces within that timeframe. Of course, when it comes to getting elected, you will say whatever it take to please the masses.
zion653 6 months ago
@clarebannerman I refer you to the CIA's Final Report "No W.M.D's Found In Iraq". There were of course conventional weapons found which were sold by the U.S. to Iraq by Prince of Darkness Donald Rumsfeld to kill Iranians. Bush the fool was a puppet for his war criminal cronies. Hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis have been murdered for the sake of oil.
clarebannerman 6 months ago
@clarebannerman Yes, I am familiar with the report (and that title is from a MSNBC article which was strictly biased and anti-war and anti-Bush). The CIA's report was referring solely to the absence of nuclear warheads; chemical warheads were found in Iraq in great number. What the media did was downplayed what the definition of a WMD is. WMDs consists of any form of nuclear, chemical, or biological weapon. So, technically, WMDs were found.
zion653 6 months ago
@clarebannerman Also, "murdered for the sake of oil"? A question for you: If we were going there for oil, why haven't we taken it yet? Why did we pay to have their infrastructure rebuilt and strengthened their government to ensure that the oil remains the property of the Iraqi people? Oh, and I bet that you wouldn't mind if we DID take over their oil so that we could finally get gas prices back down to $1 per gallon. I'm quite sure that you wouldn't complain about that.
zion653 6 months ago
@zion653
323157 5 months ago
@323157 You know, I started to give you an intelligent response until I read your post where you alluded that President Bush "is responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent children." Now, I realize that you are just another pawn who bases all of your assumptions on whatever is the latest opinion of the liberal media or conspiracists. Obviously, you have no grasp of the reality of the situation on the ground. Try doing some unbiased research before making your ludicrous remarks.
zion653 5 months ago
@323157 We could "take" their oil, not by pumping it into containers, but by taking the actual land that the oil is underneath, claiming it for the US, and then monopolizing it so that the Iraqis would have to pay "us" to even use it themselves. What you "oil" conspiracists fail to realize is that we do not NEED a conspiracy to take the Iraqis' oil. If oil was our motivation, we could have simply TOOK IT. Why, then, would we rebuild their infrastructure and government to maintain Iraqi control?
zion653 5 months ago
@zion653 sinse when are things that easy? just take their oil right? just walk on over there and say we're taking this land for our country, thats not the way the world works its all about strategy and covert operations and spin doctors and lies to justify actions that cannot be justified etc etc also rebuilding iraq will be big business for american firms and its only going to be possitive for the economy ,

these two countries cannot be compared.

Boris82much 9 months ago
@Boris82much millions didnt beg for our help at all......obviously many people were being slaughtered...(although im not sure who 'saddam husseinie' is), but the situation is different, iraq had no international support nor was it a just war in the sense that proper resolutions were granted before action was taken. and the russians really are irrelevant in this discussion since they left afgahnisatan when the cold war ended....some 20 years before our 'occupation' of iraq.
topgear100 9 months ago
@Boris82much I can be a lefty, you can be a conservative, we both have the right to view the world with our unique ideologies. That's how it's supposed to be. But... don't lie. There weren't "millions begging" for a intervention in Iraq. WMDs were claimed as the reason. Whether the WMDs (or lack thereof) were an excuse to invade a country or an honest mistake, that's a whole different argument. But don't tell me there were "millions begging" for a intervention in Iraq because that's just a lie.
quedasobravo 9 months ago
@quedasobravo Yea right. Go finish middle school and concentrate on liberal media B.S.. How many millions of Iraqis braved the very real possibility of torture and death by walking miles to vote in their first election? How is that great beacon of Democracy called Iraq doing? Liberal media says it's not going very well. But, you know they are just a bunch of hippies who lack the guts to act decisively in G_d's name. So how is that Iraq stalwart democracy doing? By the way America had free elections almost 3 years ago. How is that country doing?
drbayoms 7 months ago

That way I can effectively communicate with them.
drbayoms 6 months ago
@drbayoms You DID send me an insulting reply, but I expected as much. I'm 50 years old, and don't need YOU to tell me how or what to read. But keep insulting people. Jesus would be proud.
THERE IS NO LIBERAL MEDIA ANDTHERE IS NO GOD. Did you "fully understand" that? Now if you would like to continue from there, we can "effectively communicate".
Mozart1220 6 months ago
@Mozart1220
I see instead of simply apologizing like a 50 year old man you decided to cling to what we both now know was a misunderstanding on your part. You read my post incorrectly and responded out of anger. By the time I reach 50 years old (...years from now) I hope that I am more easily able to admit when I am wrong. Here's hoping one day you reach that moment of clarity.
drbayoms 6 months ago
@drbayoms I responded to a post I found offensive, and have no intention of apologizing. I read all postings by you (one) and it said what it said before. You claimed a "liberal media" exists, showing you are a Republican that follows Faux news. You used "hippies" as an insult although I doubt you have ever met one. Then you called them cowards who don't believe in your mythical "God". (most of them were devout Christians in the TRUE sense of the word) Then you insult me. Grow up please.
Mozart1220 6 months ago
@Mozart1220
I also suggested to him/her that the view by many Americans of the Iraq war being a failure "must be" (of course) a “conspiracy” of liberal media.
drbayoms 6 months ago
@Mozart1220
But uneducated individuals like yourself are making the GOP’s job easier, and the Liberal's job a lot harder.
drbayoms 6 months ago
@drbayoms You speak like a Republican. leave the childish insults to them, it's their schtick. As for "uneducated" remember, YOU used insults, not me. What I'm saying is that iraqis weren't "begging" for an american invasion nor was that the reason for you going there. See Colin Powell's speech on the UN, where he asks for international unity. Fear of WMDs is his main argument, not human suffering. That's a fact - you can check the transcripts.

OBAMA THE WAR CRIMINAL...cmon???
iblackbeard 10 months ago
@iblackbeard Well one big difference for starters is that Bush wasn't invited to intervene in Iraq by the League of Arab nations - Another might be that he did not have multilateral support from the UN - Another being that in Libya we are dealing with a revolution, rather than an occupation. There's a good number of different values involved here, hence the 'apparent' lack of outrage.
crankymcstab 10 months ago
@crankymcstab - "invited" oh yes right, lets wait to be invited by the arabs. The ones that practically hate our guts? They like us only when its in their favor. Thats like saying (my house is burning down, but don't call the fire department, until i "invite them"). If Bush had no reason to invade Iraq, then Obama has no reason to be involved in ANY way in Libya. He talks about Ghadafi as a rogue dictator, then shakes another's hand in south America? What kinda sheeat is that?
iblackbeard 10 months ago
@iblackbeard that analogy makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. In fact, it's the opposite:
Libya: "house is on fire, resident does what he can to stop it, but can't call fire department for help, so neighbours do."
Iraq: "house is on fire, fire department called in, it doesn't finish the job, residents got burned, years later fire department goes in to finish job, but destroy the house in the process (with the residents in it), they spend the next 8 years trying to rebuild the house."
crankymcstab 10 months ago
@crankymcstab I should add to the latter example... "they spend the next 8 years trying to rebuild the house - while being constantly sabotaged by squatters who don't want the house rebuilt less they find themselves homeless."
crankymcstab 10 months ago
@iblackbeard Bush did not do the same thing
People of Iraq did not raise protests against Saddam and get massacred for it, People of Libya did, People of Libya want help, people of Iraq didnt. I supported Bush when he went into Afghanistan because they attacked America and killed over 4'000 innocent people. Iraq had nothing to do with that. Explain the logic of sending 15000 troops to a country that did attack u & then 150'000 troops to a country that didnt
dragonman14x 10 months ago
@dragonman14x - the logic is simple, he was harboring terrorist camps, he was an tyrant that gassed his own people, and can't be allowed mistreat his people any longer, just like Obama said about Ghadafi. How could you leave Saddam in power if you are toppling Tyrants, just like Obama is doing? You can't have it both ways.
iblackbeard 10 months ago
@iblackbeard

@sevenonpaper1 would love to see you run the country
warlockplaya 10 months ago
