  • buildings should be torn down

  • why would anybody live in that dump of a place. they should tear that shit down

  • @adenunzio2000 No one wants to be poor.....it's already been torn down.

  • bitch fuck ya btown 4 ever

  • Shawty Hoe's home gon demolished lmao

  • atlanta calls those projects?? those are middle class apartments..

  • @uptownla5o4 What are projects? and what are middle class apartments?

  • @uptownla5o4 hahaha i cant agree more.

  • i wouldn't walk through there with two police dogs, a bullet proof vest, an assult rifle, and a waist band full of hand grenade.haha

  • Thank god all these shitholes are being demolished.

  • @tstruss912 you know home man lives these projects have claimed.shaking my head

  • I slept on photographing Bowen Homes before they tore it down, I thought it would be up & abandoned longer.

  • @ProphBundy Bowen Homes was torn down quickly usually the apartments sit vacant for about a year before demolition. If you need pictures I can email them to you, I should have most of them. Check out my boi Mr404770678, his profile is recommended on my site. He created 2 videos with some of my pictures.

  • What dis song?

  • @creepacarbineM4 Time Served is the name of the group...Warning Shots is the name of their demo....it's underground. I don't think anyone can find music it's just some old buddies from Bankhead Court

  • @castletriglav Just an fyi...I don't allow ethnic slurs on my videos. If you hate the video then hate it but no disrespectful comments to people or ethnic groups.

  • anywayz yr videos are sick cuz !!!! they helped me a lot to understand abt A ... wish i would lived there ....

  • @Swizzzle22 Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate the videos.

  • can sumone tell me why they demolish those projects ?

  • @Swizzzle22 Because they were rought, tough, and dangerous

  • @terminuszone1 so why they built them ?

  • @Swizzzle22 to provide more affordable housing in the city

  • whats the song called please somebody?

  • @RenzySanders2011 Oh yeah new orleans has some notorious projects....all those projects listed are in the 3rd ward right? They are like Techwood/Clark Howell, East Lake Meadows, and Perry Homes....those Atlanta's 3 worst and biggest, What's up to the 40 sum others...

  • Haha right damnn, im not hating on Atlanta or nothing. But when Cabrini Green and Robert Taylor where around in Chicago those where were the shit was at. Those were the worst projects in the U.S.A. Could take out any other projects in the country. Don't beleive me? Look it up..

  • @snugly195 No need to waist time looking anything up, Henry Cisneros, the head of Housing and Urban Development or you might know it as H.U.D. already did the research and stated by Congress in 92' Techwood Homes in Atlanta, Ga was the worst housing project in the country. Just like you I'm not hating on Chicago because I'm cool with folks from Chicago but Cabrini Green can hold down the #2 spot just fine, and we all know Robert Taylor was the largest before it was razed.

  • @snugly195 yea dog cabrini mightve been the worst after techwood was torn down but techwood homes held the title as the nations most dangerous prior to that no hating here i love the chi but its the truth

  • @Mr404770678 Fact!

  • @snugly195 and thats what u do look it up never lived there so u have no right to speak on it

  • dast wea my friend kenethia belcher died at she got shot in bowen holmes by ha bf

  • @nequa23 taytay shot her

  • Terminus why dont u go to some of the hoods thts not closed down? just sayin

  • @uptownbuffalo That's a good question. It's too dangerous to walk around a lot of these neighborhoods taking pictures and videoing. My main focus is the apartments themselves and less on the people plus there is a lot of legal aspects about putting people on the internet without permission. Also I didn't start doing the video and picture thing until most of these neighborhoods were shut down, just too late.

  • b^owen home5 we love you b^ab^y never forget my hood. zone 1 til i die we5t5ide til i die wiles circle veteran.

  • streets r dead not like when a rapper cum 2 show off his hood than u c much of people on the streets

  • @shawty867 when the video was taken the majority of the neighborhood was moved out because city was getting to tear Bowen Homes down

  • Bowen Homes ..Wilkes Circle veteran...dont miss that crazy shit for nuthin.Out in Cali now laughin at these wankstaz thinkin they hard.I tell them when they see a $100,000 car in the projects and more shootins than the LA riots in 1 project...holla at me

  • @SuperSuperFly2010 That's the best way to rep Atlanta...when you live in another city. Whenever I travel folks are always well aware of where I'm from...

  • real talk i was born and raised in theses apts @0:06 right there down that hill is where i stay at from birth to 10yrs of age my ADDRESS WAS 644 YATES DR I EVEN WENT TO THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THATS LOCATED IN THE BACK OF THE APTS A.D WILLIAMS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

  • what dis song

  • shit everywhere round here broke down

  • anybody know if the city is trying to tear down Thomasville?

  • @ophib88 thomasville has already been torn down

  • Yo, Capital Homes was consider Summerhill, correct? and were there any PJs in Pittsburgh. I don't think so, can't recall any. But I always here folks talking about they tore down the PJs in Pittsburgh too. I be like what?? Figured you or Term might now.

  • @dieseleee yep capitol homes was summerhill and yea pittsburg did have projects or atleast apts that looked like the projects sure if they were AHA or not you seen ATL before???? that was pittsburg T.I.P was driving past when the "Georgia" song was playig at the begginning of the movie I have a new vid I'll be posting shortly itll be in there

  • @Mr404770678 - Cool, I'll be checkig for your vid on Pittsburg.

  • dieseleee, check out my zone 3 video- 1:15-1:19 its the Pittsburg apartments. They weren't actually housing projects but from what I understand they were just as bad if not worse then some projects. They were torn down around the time McDaniel-Glenn was torn down- really gutta over there.

  • @terminuszone1 - - Thanks. I'm learning so much about A-Town hoods outside of the SWATS since I became an adult. When I was growing up, I was blind to hoods oustide of the SWATS. I didn't pay attention if it wasn't EPoint, SWATS, or the Westside. I knew a little about the Dec. But I knew nothing about Zone 3 and 5. Didn't think it went hard down there. I thought we were the hardest in Zone 4. Dated a hot chick from Thomasville Heights in HS, but I never had to pick her up. Lucky me.

  • F'ing around w/ Bowen Homes almost took Jamal Lewis down when he was with the Baltimore Ravens. Some of my folks were involved in that 5 year big time investigation into BH by the Feds that brought Jamal down, Shawty Lo down, etc. My boy Mario Cobb got killed by his own folks in BH that thought he was about to snitch to the Feds cause Mario had just got caught with like 40 or 50 Kilos. That case took down lots of folks in BH and around it.

  • @dieseleee damn 40 or 50 bricks? Now would you say that just about every major project in Atlanta had a big time hustler like that during that time period.

  • @atl2maryland Mail Box Boys used to supply Bowen Homes

  • i wouldnt say cabrini green vs. bowen homes would be a fair comparison considering the size of these projects bowen homes had 650 units compared to cabrini green's over 1000 maybe techwood or perry homes......well then again its not fair to compare anything to techwood like you said that hoods violent crime rate was 35x the national average....if u hating on the A then go to another cities page......bitches

  • The AHA finally sent me some information on the housing projects and I was shocked when they pulled that stat out because on the East Lake Meadows video it said 18x the national average - East Lake Meadows was one strong ass hood too.

  • @terminuszone1 East Lake was a beast. I hate that I wasn't that familair w/ it growing up. Would have loved to seen it. Not to take away from Caprini being a strong hood, but its prominence in gangsta / project talk throughout the nation has more to do with its location and Robert Taylor has more to do with its size. If Bowen Homes was in the middle of Buckhead like a Caprini or housed 30K residents like a Robert Taylor, then BH would have the same notoriety.

  • this is a continuation of my last post - Caprini's location in the heart of Chicago's very wealthy Gold Coast neighborhood made it prime real estate for drug trafficing to the rich folks next door. You had many dope boyz wanting to run it, take advantage of its fortress like structure and that led to way above average violence. Robert Taylor was like freaking 2 miles long, like 30K people. Big as F. Imagine an ATL hood in the heart of Buckhead.

  • last continuation of previous posts - and the closest hood we got to being around the really wealthy areas of Midtown / Buckhead is Boulevard / Bedford Pines and that is why BMF made sure they took over that area and the cops have said much of the city's drugs, before Mexicans set up shot a few years back, passed through that one small not even a mile area on Boulevard. Location is Caprini's claim to fame. But I love me some Chicago projects. What up Alteld Gardens in the wild hunneds.

  • I just agreed with everything you said- If Atlanta had similar sized housing projects they certainly would not be compared with any other projects in the country

  • also....."per captia" East Lake really was "Little Vietnam" or a smaller Techwood.....East Lake had 650 units Techwood had 1,195 units almost twice the size of east lake....if east lake was the size of techwood Im not saying it wouldve been worse but who knows....stay up

  • yeah i remember goin thru the meadows...when i was younger.....people used to sleep in bathtubs to keep from being hit by shootouts going on shit was a war zone ...I wish I knew more on perry though

  • Perry Homes was the East Lake Meadows of the West Side- Perry Homes was bigger than Bowen Homes and Bankhead Court put together. Perry Homes regulated everything that took place on the Westside.

  • man i've watched all your vids..you do great work. although all these projects had crime, they were still home to some people and should have not been torn down. I had fam in Bowen Homes.

but do you know if there are any plans to tear down Martel Homes in East Point? i hope not..

  • @ohib88, good question about Martel Homes. It doesn't look like it for most of the EP hoods in that area. They might leave Martel up like they did Washington Circle, OJ Hurt, I think first up in EP will be Hilcrest Projects on Stanton. I drove by the other day. Looks like crap. Washington Circle looks like crap too. They tore down the other EP spots like Allison Ct., so you never know. But they didn't tear down that last College P projects either. Just remodeled it.

  • yea I knew it was the largest in the Southeast and it was in top 3 of Atl's most dangerous projects....but I dont know the specifics like I do on East Lake and techwood....like east lake had a crime rate 18x the national average Techwood was 35x wonder where Perry fell......and which was 4th we already know Techwood, East Lake and Perry were the worst 3

  • I one time made a list with all the Atlanta projects ranking them from most dangerous to safest- but it was just a matter of my opinion. I would probably say: Carver Homes, Jonesboro South, Bowen Homes, or Bankhead Ct. Tough call...all excelled at different times.

  • Term, I don't know who you are responding to here. Are you saying these were the most dangerous after Techwood, Eastlake and Perry were gone?

  • I think someone asked me after Techwood, Eastlake and Perry Homes...which housing projects were the worst or most dangerous....?

Maybe I just threw that out there. I'm really not sure. But I would say those listed were pretty rough behind the big 3

  • @ terminuszone1. Yeah, I would agree w/ those 3 after EL, Perry and TWood. Red Oak was wild too, but it was so secluded on the Southside that many folks didn't know about it. My boy just started working for the AHA. I'm on him about getting his hands on anything related to Boat Rock, Kimberly Courts, Red Oak, Carver, etc., some of the spots its hard to find stuff on.

  • I always wanted to work for the AHA, I actually had a inside connect too but I never followed up. I have a lot of friends that lived in Red Oak, they said Boat Rock was worse but they held there own in Red Oak.

  • Straight up doe i frm Robert Taylor Homes 2 but dont take niggas frm Bowen Homes 4 granted dat shit look like it waz crackin

  • I would definitely say Cabrini Green was more violent/wild then Bowen Homes. Robert Taylor from what I know was bad too. I just don't like when folks come around talkin down on my city. I speaking about the other folks- not you. I appreciate your comment. Bowen Homes wasn't even close to Atlanta's worst- Techwood/Clark Howell Homes, East Lake Meadows and Perry Homes has more Cabrini type statistics.

  • @terminuszone1 I feel you. Projects is the projects wherever you go. Its all about the mentality of the people and concentrated poverty. On any given day, A Bowen Homes nicca could take out a Caprini Green cat and vice versa.

  • Truth...some of these folks act like we care about there opinion. 83rdgangsta comments are straight- still a respectful mind. We're not on any Chicago videos showin disrespect. All it takes is 1 man willing to pull the trigger 1 time to equal 1 dead body- that man can come from anywhere.

  • i am from southside chicago robert taylor projects this weak ass projects look peaceful

  • probably because it's empty idiot. I'm glad to know you're from Robert Taylor, a project that doesn't even exist anymore.

  • Cabrini VS Bowen Homes

  • aye this shit look like a luxury version of the gardens

  • to each his own....that's what happens when a city renovates housing projects.

  • dont underestimate atl bro just like we dont underestimate chi town bro

  • I remember my lil cousins used to fuck Pure up and run out wit all they noodles, pies and juices! LOL I miss the hot wings from Mr. Kim at the wash house, and Mama's Place. Oh, sweet memories. R.I.P B-Town!!!!

  • rezt peace 6owen homez. 6owen homez wherre i wuz 6orn and 6ankhead wherre i wuz raised. zone one all day zone one run atl

  • Bowen homes prob more dangerous but subrubs in South Auckland looks worse than that , Look at Otara or Mangere its worse .

  • Keep documenting, Atlanta Housing Authority is on some fuck shit, keep this shit alive somehow

  • BOWEN HOMES YEUP!

  • If terminus could put the full song on here in a vid people could get it that way.

  • I'll put the full song up for yall.

  • I dunno where the hell you can find it but the song is "Luv Dat" by League of G's

  • whats the artist and the name of the song thats playing?

  • Music from "Warning Shots Mixtape" Time Served Records-

  • y yall stay in tha car. lol

  • because you can cover more area in a car. Would you have preferred that I ran from building to building?

  • lmao u a fool term!!!

  • i guess in Bowen Homes u would b running. lol

  • If you want to see me walking look through my videos....there is a video of me walking through an empty apartment.

  • naw im just messing wit u. nice video

  • tell me two thangs. why did they shut down the projects and were did al lthe ppl go to??

  • The concentration of poverty, crime, and the opportunity for some of the elites to come up on some money.

    The people go everywhere

  • Man everytime I come back home from being away at school something new has changed. It kinda makes me sad. I don't really recognize my own home!

  • marqueshia404 i hard da same thang about doez missing people about 10 year ago they probly were taking to those secret exstermination camps or some shit dat airbody told me i dont no

  • u right my nigg tha biggest projects were tha first ones to go but bowen homes and bankhead court ant tha smallest ones tho and somthin else hundredz of people from dem fomer projects that u just named have come up missing after tha housing athourity start moving them out including some of my family memberz somethin ant right about that

  • carver homes had 5,000 people perry homes, techwood homes and lil vietnam had around da same or more all were bigger than bowen homes and bankhead court da biggest projects was toe down in da late 90`s early 00`s

  • Perry Homes was by far and away the largest housing project in Atlanta. It was the largest housing project in the Southeast.

Bankhead Court is still standing but it's empty.

  • it looks like the bronx back in the early 80's with all the houses and building abonded

  • The whole West side of Atlanta is boarded up.

  • Yea itzzzz bout 2 get tore down sometime this year.

  • did they get rid of bowen? i heard they changed the name of bankhead to something else...i aint from atlanta just curious

  • It's currently being demolished. Bankhead Court is next. Atlanta changed the name of Bankhead Hwy to Donald Lee Hollowell

  • i chilled in ATL for a month back in like 2004. I think i took a bus to bankhead and the last stop was bowen homes. it looked crazy in the day time although no one was outside, i could imagine how it looked at night... shawty don't leave your gun at home!

  • R.I.P Bowen Homes damn. Westside fo lyfe. westside til i die. Bankhead born Bankhead and Bowen Homes raised. bankhead zone 1. R.I.P Bowen Homes.

  • shit speaking of herndon homes u got that 1 term? I see you got most of the well known ones only ones I dont see is some of the smaller ones but still had muscle like essex ct. parts of the 4th ward (Pine St.) and its some right before cascade and 20 east dont know the name of them though but keep doing what you do homie Show these people the real Atlanta

  • Yeah I got some Herndon Homes pics- there is a few in the "Atlanta public housing" montage. I got a good little video for zone 4 featuring Essex Courts and I got Boulevard coming hard on the zone 5 video.

  • my partna was fuckin wit a chick in herndon homes...nigga said he was shook goin thru that bitch lol

  • From what I understand, Herndon Homes, is one of the more chill projects. Don't get me wrong well respected in the world of housing projects but not known for its violence. A lot of older folks in there.

  • btw this song is hottt . whats it called ?

  • Warning Shots- Time Served- the name of the group and their label.

Song: (If I could guess) I Bet They Love That

  • noooo .. why they tearin down bowen homes ? u gotta be kiddin me . forreal .

    thats fuckin stupidddddd !!!!!!!

  • yea....the city is gonna have EVERY project gone by about mid 2010 Aint that a bitch!!!!

  • that's weird, I was told there been strange thing going on there like underground train, strange buses, and now homes are been demolish..um

  • Yep!!..BankHead Next..

  • Oh yeah... I think AHA just finish razing University, now Bowen, next Bankhead/Thomasville/Hollywood Ct/Herndon Homes. Then eventually Edgewood Court, Martin St Plaza, and the Westminster Plaza.

  • Yes, BankHead is scheduled for the end of july, about 40 families left there..Herndon & Hollywood is scheduled for December 09.

  • I walked through Bowen Homes for about an hour yesterday- took 88 pictures, 2 videos, and grabbed 3 bricks for my folks. It was peaceful in there and not many buildings have been torn down. It will be a few weeks before it's all gone and I saw University is about half way done. Hollywood Court looked very empty also.

  • Ey terminus.. what are they gon do with Allen Temple?

  • Man the Temple... You know I don't think the city will do anything in the new future with the Allen Temple because it was built differently than the straight concrete that the projects are built with. Also the projects have asbestos in them which is hazardous the ones health. I think if folks stay cool out there and don't pose a problem for the city then they should be fine. Take this as a grain of salt though because it's only my opinion. The city eliminates those apartments on its radar

  • R.I.P Bowen Homes!!!ATL GA

  • ppl are so sterotypical you gotta understand its 100 times harder for someone from bankhead or eastlake (projects) to be successful in life vs. someone from buckhead or sandy springs (upper class) the jobs and schools surronding these area are like night and day you cant stick minimum wage jobs and scare resources around people living in poverty and expect the people to live like those who have.... before you place judgement on a group of people put your self in their position

  • What happened in Charlotte Tai1gate? I plan on moving there soon for my job.

  • damn they started tearing it down yesterday!!! damn r.i.p to my old stomping ground

  • Hey folk, I still got to get a brick... do you think some units will be up this weekend?

    :(

    RIP

  • fuck the atlanta housing authority

  • Im frm da chi cabrini green and i feel ya atl dey tearin down da hoods stand tall dou!!!

  • Atlanta and Chicago are similar in many aspects but much different levels. We got love and respect for Chicago down here. Only a few cities really know about project livin...

  • you can tear the hood down.. but you can't change the people

  • IM 4RM BANKHEAD I FUCKZ W/ BOWEN HOMES

  • Na, I wish I did.

  • where can u find dis song @?

  • I got the demo from my folks that lived in Bankhead Court. My girl, Red's son is one of the members. Music from "Warning Shots Mixtape" Time Served Records- I really don't know how to find it unless you stroll through Bankhead Court.

  • Wats da name?

  • of the song or the crew?

  • Both

  • Music from "Warning Shots Mixtape" Time Served Records. I got the demo from them last time I was in Bankhead. I will put there songs with the next videos so you can here more.

  • U a beast 4 these videos on life!

  • I appreciate it- I got some good videos to put up but every time I get to the end -youtube says an error occured. They got some good songs I want you to hear.
