Well, it isn't quite a Bee Gees track. It's a Barry Gibb solo called Childhood Days. It was used as the theme for a movie called Hawks (1989) - starring Timothy Dalton.

I remember watching this on Friday nights with my father. He does not remember Planet of the Apes ever being a TV series. My sister used to complain every week that she had to go to bed before me and miss the show. I'm 3 years older than her, so I got to stay up later than her. Ticked her off all the time.

I have to find more of these clip to send to my father to prove that PotA WAS in fact a TV series WAY back then. Thanks for posting.

I know what you mean. I have the DVD's too. The episode I remember most is the one where they come accross the (ancient) computers and recording equipment underground in the nuked city. I also remembered quite well the first ever episode. I was 10-ish too. Hence the music, "Childhood Days".

This is a really nice song - but I am a HUGE fan of the BEE GEES. Got the WHOLE TV series on DVD. This was a great piece of TV and introduced many to films that had come before and followed in the wake of the TV series. Love it. Thanks Lisa.
