  • I love this song! And I think that Celtic culture is fantastic!

  • Cruachan needs more attention. They pretty much invented Celtic Metal. Skyclad invented Folk Metal. UK bands are very underrated.

  • I love this song!!! and the lyrics!!!

  • @agger2 there was quite important event in 1066 you know, normans all all that stuff

  • I don't care what anyone says, I think this song is awesome.

  • Btw. This music is as synthesized as it comes. Choke on your ignorance and drown in brain rot.

  • Fuck yall trashy village folk. Enjoy your fresh drinking ponds whilr you can. America rot yo teeth.

  • @ Alexrachal.... No... actually were all over the age of 14 and have advanced musical tastes and experiences... but since you're not there yet - we'll just put up with you and pat you on the head like the good little snot nosed brat that you are ok :)

  • The Celts were a wide spread pan-cultural phenomenon with the modern ethnic identificaiton being the result of persecution against Celtic Speakers in the Isles and in Brittany. Many tribes spoke Celtic languages but did not call themselves "Celt" which is why it is more apt to apply Celt to their descendant and not to the tribes themselves since they all had different names and concepts of what it took to be a tribal member.

  • This shit is gay. I don't get why you all like it? Were you all born in small villages? Did you all just get internet?

  • @Alexrachal Are you just going around posting this on every single one of their videos? lol. wow, youre cool

  • @Alexrachal lol

  • @Alexrachal Well we get why you don't like it. Maybe cause you're a brainwashed idiot? Go listen to some ,,modern'' shit then.

  • @Alexrachal fuck off dude, go listen to some other music instead of posting such comments, grow up kid.

  • @Alexrachal maybe when you turn 14 (when I realized what good music was) you will appreciate and realize what real music is. Until then, shut the hell up.

  • @Alexrachal Maybe you would understand it better if you were of Irish Origin, or respected the past, but since you don't, you will never. Your mind is too shallow, yet beyond shallow it's actually quite dry. I hope you understand what I am trying to tell you. You probably don't because your mind is too focused on crappy music. Since the sound is not synthesized or watered down, it's gay? You are quite shallow indeed, so take your foolish comments somewhere else.

  • The only "Celtic" part on cruachan' songs is just that flute intro...

  • Does anyone know of any folk metal ballads that need to checked out? fire them this way cheers?

  • @YorkGod1 Waylander, Primordial, Korpiklaani, Eluveitie, Tyr, MOONSORROW.

  • Epic Song,...Hell Epic Band!

  • seriously how come that I was all around in Ireland already (still here) and no cd shop got cds from them or even knows them? :o

  • @gwalchafed Metal is a niche in Ireland in a school of 500 im one of 3 metalers :(

  • @MrTimmegh Ha your lucky Im the only metalhead I know of in my school

  • @MrTimmegh Same here....

  • @MrTimmegh I know, we're a rare breed. Especially in Limerick, where we get attacked by scobes for being "Hippy goth freaks"

  • @MrTimmegh not just in Ireland my friend .I'm from Iran here's the same deal.looks like stupid hip hop has taken over control of human minds all around the world

  • @TheAmirhooshang Same in America, where it all started, the British Isles have saved us from bad music before, guys, do it again. Maybe this band will make the world realize what good music is.

  • The Gaels. This was the culture of Western Scotland and Ireland.

  • Comment removed

  • who was Gael?

  • @byrodrol

The Gael are a people, a culture. They are the ancestors of the Irish and were very advanced technologically, culturally, and spiritually.

Do a bit of research, they are very interesting.

  • simply beautiful!

  • I love this band!

  • celts - ROCK ! \m/

  • beautiful song...

  • great tune

  • well they sound ok

  • Best Irish band Ever

  • @gokukevind Yeah, them and Primordial :)

  • @MultiPosts oh yeah how could I forget about Primordial

  • this music haves power !!

  • good music...love it!

  • Essa música é muito legal!

    Cruachan folk metal pohha!

  • its pronounced crew-a-cawn

they're named after an archaeological site in Ireland

  • Almost - but the "ch" is pronounced like "Loch".

Not quite a hard "k" sound, but more guttural.

  • I know but its hard to explain that to people who have no or little understanding of the Irish language, hence why I just said "cawn".

  • @Cathain78 not even guttural; almost like an "h". Like the Arab "h" in "humus" for example :)

  • @cilibinarii no - it is Kroo-a-kon

  • @cruachankeith thank you

  • @cruachankeith

Hi, I say it like Krew ach awn.

    Munster Gael.

  • coooooooooooooool

  • GREAT song!

  • some take sertant things just to serious... enojoy... givving people headaches makes YOU look emoish :( and i hope ur not...

  • i love this group

    guys underneath

u dudes give me a headache cant you just enjoy?

  • actually the gaels do not come from france maybe you mean the GAULS and as far as i know they were brythonic as well as the english and welsh celts. the scots and the irish(gaels or whatever) were goidelic not brythonic.

  • @agger2 What the Romans (well, Caesar) called Gauls, was in fact all the Gallic or Celtic people they knew, as opposed to the other barbarias they never conquered, the Germani. Today this has absolutely no point, as the Franks were one of the Germani peoples that conquered the last Gauls in Gallia province, and Angles and Saxons conquered the Roman Britannia, or England. Cymru and Scotland are a tale unto themselves.

  • @Simpson654 ??? looking back at my year old post:), i can't see what you're talking about, of course i meant that the Gauls were celtic, however you need to understand that there are 2 main types of celtic speaking people, brythonic and goidelic..

  • @agger2 the words have the same etymology though don't they?

  • @Lewis1711 I heard somewhere that they did have the share the same root, but don't take my word for it:)

  • @Lewis1711: Not technically. It's the difference between Deutsch and Dutch.

  • @agger2 the gauls were mostly situated in Switzerland actually, thats considered the center of the Gaulish aspect of Celtic culture. Cisalpine gauls were in what is not northern italy, and transalpine gaul was the rest.

  • @agger2 do the English and Welsh have a Celtic connection? I thought English were more Saxon, I don't know much about Welsh. I know Ireland is Celtic, I think some of Scotland maybe too although most of us here come from a Gaelic background I think. I actually feel bad that I don't know as much about Scottish history & heritage as I should. I thought I knew a good bit until recently.

  • @gregsky01 Well the English.. as far as I know the Anglo Saxons came and brought their culture with them. There may be some pockets/traditions that survived. But BEFORE their arrival there was no distinction between England and Wales, they spoke same language and probably had the same culture too. You know you can be Gaelic and Celtic together right? Gaelic is probably best used to describe Ireland, Isle of Man and Scottland (Highlands). Celtic can be Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Brittany..

  • @agger2 yeah, I don't know as much about my heritage as I should. I knew that there was some celtic in Scotland but I think that it's more gaelic than celtic most places. Wasn't sure about Ireland having gaelic heritage though.

  • @gregsky01 Gaels are celts. Gauls, Gaels, Brythons others, many celtic tribes. Scots are Gaelic. Welsh are Brythons, also celts, local to England and Wales. Gaels lived in Ireland and some journeyed to Scotland and stayed there. Gauls are from...where else but Gaul? Celts were very widespread, from Ireland to greece there were once Celtic tribes.

  • @purplesquirrl In reality, "Gaul" was the name Caesar called the tribes of today's france. Actually, those tribes called themselves Celticae in their language. So it's a bit ironic how some people think only Gaels are celtic I mean ignorant ppl of course not you

  • @agger2 the romans called the germanic and celtic barbarians Gauls If i remmeber right..

  • @Mefgar Well a gaul is actually from france so no I don't think so, but i don't know

  • @agger2 Gaels came from Galicia probably

  • Comment removed

  • @celtic4ever18

    Are mostly Germanic blood.

    FTFY

  • @RedSoxForObama I am Irish on Grandmother side So i have celtic blood also germanic and also iberian

  • @celtic4ever18 There were celts in the Iberian peninsula.

  • @celtic4ever18 Well I am Irish and my nanny is of pure Celtic blood so like yea.. I'm more Celtic than most people >:)

  • @RedSoxForObama truth is british people come from the basques

  • Germans only Goths and Vandals? What da hell r u speaking dude. Germans have been hundreds of different tribus. Even the name "Germans" is wrong...

  • You still made a mistake by saying the Gaels were from France, don't get all hissy.

  • Buy the albums, cheapskate. If you really support metal, you buy albums and don't download them from the internet.

  • true

but i must admit that sometimes i download

but when i like it i buy there cd's

theres great metal but sadly also a lot wich isnt worth the money :(

    cheers

  • i buy basically all my music for many reasons.. 1. it supports the bands 2. it sounds alot better than most downloaded files 3. there never are any viruses and 4. you get more songs that you might not have heard about from just downloading

  • That is a fact. But when you live in a country that culture is abusive expensive, like mine country, you do not have other alternative.

  • thats true, many countries the culture paid more taxes than another industrial activity, on humbles countries their states prefer a ignorant and poor masses than an educated and a healthy nation

  • I love this song

  • its their best song in my opinion!!!

  • Nice song. I would like this type of lyrics to Waylanders style of playing.
