  • How many CCs is it?

  • did you even put a undercut in it?

  • @HitachiZaxis450LC he dosen't need an undercut look at the slope of the hill that the tree is on its pretty obvious witch way its going to fall plus look at the angle that the saws going in the wood.

  • hey I'm just asking, its still safer to put a undercut in a tree on a hill.

  • I agree.....should have done it to be on the safe side..Nothing wrong with the safe side,,,just means you get to play with the saw more..

  • @james45784 he should have done an undercut for sure

  • Yes, he put an undercut on the tree. You can see it when the tree falls. Falling a tree without an undercut is dangerous because of a thing called barber chairing. Even if the tree falls in the right direction with no undercut, the barber chairing can kill you. His saw is not cutting well. He needs to sharpen it correctly!

  • @james45784 a freind of mine used back cut 30inch trees down all the time....now he has a 30inch neck!!

  • Yeah 1/3 of the daimeter, see " face cut, vintage McCulloch saw" . The drop took about 20 min of video so I spiit it into two clips. I needed to fall it sidehill to ease the yarding out. Short distance but very steep, for my oldish cat. I had to buck it in half to get it up the hill. Broke a couple chokers trying.

  • @brads1100 where I log, you couldn't bend a choker around a log that small..

  • Very nice, I collect primarily Stihl but have been looking for a Mac 250 or 300 if anyone knows where I can find one in NC please Message me.

  • dont matter how old the saw is !! sharpen the dam thing lol !!

  • Mac 3oo, 87cc of monster torque. gotta keep the chain super sharp or it becomes alot of work. run one of these for a half a day then go pick up a modern saw. huge diff in performance, but you gotta love that old mac bark.

  • McCulloch model 300, with 36" bar and .404 chain. It runs like a scalded dog on certain days then sometimes not.

  • I have a McC 250, and look for excuses to use my beloved 80CC monstrosity. My friends call it a "Moped with a saw chain", my family calls it "The Man Killer"

Glad to see fans of old "Mac's" on youtube

  • ooh then i would have kept going too.

  • im thinkin your chain is a bit dull

  • you got that right,I had a hour or so befor the rains came so i had to just work with the chain i brought. once i started the face cut i didn't want to stop.
