Very nice, emotional and sometime even sad movie. The acting was brilliant. I'm not a big Meryl Streep fan but she's very talented and looked stunning here. Amy Adams was no less imressive - she deserved the Oscar for this supporting role and finally Philip Seymour Hoffman and Viola Davis were amazing as well
All you figure out at the end of the movie is that the priest was definatley hiding something. However you don't know if it's good deeds or sexual harassment, hence the title of the movie. Its a good one though.

Doubt is a thrilling and wonderful movie, all of the actor's bring their A-Game, and it is Streep's best performance of the decade. The fact that this came out on the tail end of 'Mamma Mia!' really shows her amazing range. This movie deserves all of the awards it can get.
you are 100% correct in the entire comment. except that I think this is streep's greatest in her career. Ledger will win an oscar but only because of his being dead. it he was alive the dark knight would be worth nothing (and nor would he)
I think Doubt is too stereotypical purpose-wise. It's a movie that has no tendency to relate to anyone under the age of 30.

My opinion:Either Slumdog Millionaire, Milk or The Dark Knight should win Best Picture. Note:I have yet to see the first two.

Doubt was definitely hands down the best movie of '08. Excellent acting by excellent actors/actresses. Moving performances & a captivating plot. 5* Definitely
Doubt is no doubt worthy of Oscar's attention. Entertainment and the Arts is about provocative themes and riviting drama, and in less gaurded moments...our fears and insecurities. Doubt does all of that undoubedly! ;) Meryl Rocks!
