Honestly, I liked (and still do) Superman 4. Nuclear Man is definitely an underrated villain. Besides Doomsday, Nuclear Man is the only other villain I know of that could kick Superman's ass and potentially kill him.
What makes the Quest for Peace memorable is that it's one of the few (as in less than a handful) movies that overtly challenges the military-industrial complex.
Star Wars is campy -- with its nerf herders and Jar Jar Binks, but no one seems to mind that ...

I'm sick and tired of inbred retards talking shit -- there's NOTHING wrong with The Quest for Peace! Abolishing nuclear weapons is FAR more important than "suspension of disbelief" or whether some already colossally spoiled suburbanite was enraptured by a cinematic experience!
All of superman iv was a mistake, they actually never should of made it so quickly, thats because they had a shoe string budget and they should of waited longer because if they had the money, reeves could also play nuclear man
@tyriless i was going to say that the "good vs. dark superman slugfest" happened in superman III but then i realized it was clark kent vs superman.... i agree it would be kinda cool to see superman verse bizarro lol and i felt really bad that superman IV did not have the money it needed to have those awesome special effects.
i dont know ewhy people think this film is shit i remember when i was a kid i used to love trhis film and the villian was a fuckin scary cunt hes. people say he played a bad part but i thought he was bad as fuck
Robster, Nuclear man as a fukin scary cunt was because of the honesty in his menace for his single minded goal: DESTROY SUPERMAN. All the dumb fuk bitches out there who keep trashing SupeIV are definatly right; this is trash. But they always neglect the neat stuff in it. Number one being Nuclear man. I mean the very idea is 100% comic book! ChristReeve KNEW that he when he created him. Reeve was honoring the spirit and style of comix. His outfit, his name, his origin by Luthors Frankenstien!
There's a lot of good things about Superman IV and I think its generally underrated in my view. Its theme is certainly a lot more interesting than Superman III for example and its great that Superman actually has a proper full on supervillaing to fight.
It good to see some people apperciate the film for what it is. Its not the best, but it was a descent film. and unlike "Superman Returns" they did Superman's costume the RIGHT way.

All of superman iv was a mistake, they actually never should of made it so quickly, thats because they had a shoe string budget and they should of waited longer because if they had the money, reeves could also play nuclear man

Y'know there are crappy movies like superman 4 and the trailer makes them seem half decent

lol, I love this movie in the same way I love movies by Bruno Mattei.

Superman IV gets a bad rap. It's not great, but it's better than III.

Which is a worse movie? Superman 4? or Batman & Robin?
jesusfreakrkg 2 years ago
Batman & Robin. At least Quest for peace had a bit of the old spirit.

I agree. I just hate all the cuts that were done.

Nagneto 4 years ago
This movie was terrible and I love this flawed film but it's terrible. Superman Returns this ain't.

The music is from supergirl and terminator 2, mixed with superman iv's score.
ollyh82 5 years ago
you should of used the music from the DVD deleted scenes of nuclear man 1, that is an awesome score. lol
ezmaniac 3 years ago
I quite liked it, but one question - what's that other piece of music used? I recognise it, but cannot place it....
Evilursa 5 years ago
This is music from the "Terminator 2" soundtrack by Brad Fiedel. Track #15 "Into The Steel Mill", I think.
