I agree with you within everything aside from the use of the word "unfairly". I don't think that would be the best word unless the group is claiming to have even odds, by trading one of the hosts you agree to the terms and accept that you are at a disadvantage.
I do apologize if this response is too elaborate to effectively respond to - but I felt I needed to explain why 'dice hosting' is not as immoral as it may seem. I appreciate your patience if you've actually fully read my response. I shall leave it there.
I would need you to elaborate more on your point in regards to the economic implications – specifically its effects on prices – as I don’t understand how it may be detrimental to the economy.
I can understand the moral qualms with the affiliated illicit activities such as real world trading, which were undoubtedly morally impermissible, but to reiterate – it’s not the fault of dicing in itself. I only wish people could realise this.
A viable argument from your position may be the fact that there could be information asymmetry – which I don’t disagree with. This issue however, is nor the fault of dicers or hosts – but rather, an issue with the free market. This problem could be rectified if JaGex decided to intervene by providing information to their users – however, this does come with its own setbacks such as indirectly promoting trust games, which JaGex are likely to be unwilling to do.
It may only be considered scamming if the dice host misleads the player – but this occurs rather infrequently. To elaborate further, the odds are not that poor against a player, it’s merely 9:11 for 55x2 chats.
Of course, you may argue that it’s exploitation of player greed – but if they’ve acknowledged the risks of the potential psychologically addictive effects of gambling, then is it really exploitation?
Moreover, there seems to be a flawed depiction that dicing, or any other form of non player-influenced gambling is the equivalent to ‘scamming’ – scamming, or fraudulent behaviour by definition entails deception for personal gain – but if the activity in itself is consensual (whereby the dicers are fully aware that odds are against them, but are still willing to subject their money given the risks) – then who’s getting scammed?
Not only is there a long-term profit, but there is a vested interest in maintaining their personal reputation as it costs a host hundreds of millions, if not billions to purchase a rank. Indeed, dice hosts can earn significantly higher profits than other players – but is this really unfair, given that it’s a considerable risk that the host has to accept in order to operate as a dice host? It’s not uncommon to see some hosts lose a considerable sum of their own bank value due to bad luck.
There is a reason why certain ‘dicing establishments’ can exist and operate successfully – it’s not because they’re greedy corporate swine that are successful at manipulating naïve players as you may try to lead players to believe – but it’s because there is a lack of incentive to scam – or rather, there’s a strong incentive to stay legitimate
I’ve never understood the justifications of the moral qualms for ‘dicing’, or ‘dice hosting’ in itself. Why are dice hosting depicted to be an activity partaken only by those with ulterior motives, whereby hosts would scam dicers under a false pretence? Admittedly, scamming does occur by logging out or refusing to pay winnings– typically by those who lack the capacity to pay out – but this only becomes a prevalent issue if dicers uses poorly established friends chats

Also, you're not original. At least 100 people have made that pun before, but I doubt you care. I know I didn't when I was an ignorant child. I await your mad.
@WhynayEmnayRS I personally dont care about grammer when it comes to youtube lol... no1 is forcing you to dice and dicing didnt ruin the economy. it just made some rich people, richer. and also made some poor people a little bit richer, or poorer. its called gambling for a reason. ive watched several of your videos and TBH all you do is complain.
You are doing the exact same thing. Whether or not you complain about my "complaining" won't change a thing. Your time would be more wisely spent licking the cheese off of your own fingers. Either way, you have made a complete and utter fool of yourself.
You most have loss your bank in a dice game before Its not item scamming its a 50/50 chance, And you say Rs is a MMORPG Not a casino, Well actually MMORPG and I dont know if youve noticed but most MMORPG's or RPG's In general have some sort of gambleing, ROLE PLAYING GAME They've had gambleing since the beggining of time.
@TeamExation First of all, it's gambling. Second, Dicing is not a 50/50 chance, retard. There does not need to be gambling in a game, as usually gambling only causes problems and sure as hell caused one in this game. Just because gambling is in real life, why the fuck should it be in a game. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU PUT SOMETHING BAD INTO SOMETHING THAT YOU WANT TO MAKE GOOD? nice fucking brain
@AnkerRS Are you fucking stupid? And because this game is a MMORPG ROLE PLAYING GAME Based on real life Midevil times, and dice gose from 1-100 so if its above 50 or under its a 50/50 Chance, fucking idiot. Just because your too poor to be diceing and actually have money to fall back on dosent mean you gotta blame the whole diceing community so stfu
@TeamExation I probably have a bigger bank than you, because I don't gamble it. You're calling me a retard and you can't spell half of the words you trying to use to rage at me with. Every dice clan does 55+, so it's not 50/50 you fucking downsyndrome. The whole dicing community is based off the idiots like you and the faggots exploiting the idiots (you).
@AnkerRS #1 55+ is a choice if you ask them to do 50+ most people will accept that, Im not rageing and the reason im making alot of typos is because I type very fast, And besides its the internet I dont go out of my way to correct every spelling error on a reply to a 12 year old's comment, and if you have a 6.5B+ Bank then you can say you got a bigger bank then me and I dont dice for my bank, Ive diced 500m twice lost once won twice, Get Mad, Give up yet? Rage @ me please
It is against both the USA's and England's laws to have any form of gambling in games that minors are allowed access to.
Also, you need to learn how to use spell check, bro. Google put it there for the uneducated degenerate youth such as yourself. You would be wise to make proper use of it.
@WhynayEmnayRS Point proven, You take the time on the internet daily to go back and use spell check if it wasnt for spell check you would be spelling everything wrong, And about the laws, I dont even have to reply l2read terms and agreements
RuneScape's EULA is subservient to the USA's and Europe's laws. I will once again say that it is ILLEGAL in both the United States of America and England to allow ANY form of gambling in ANY game that a minor is legally allowed access to whether it involves real money or not.
As far as myself being unable to spell anything correctly without spell check, this is also a false statement. And even if I did, that would account for neither my robust vocabulary nor my impeccable grammar.
We have now removed some of the functionality of the magic skullball to the game. You are now only able to use the skullball for private readings and so it cant output the result to a chat channel anymore.
Trust trading is against the rs rules, ive had posts pulled from the runescape forums when i posted "selling floors" for dungeoneering. The posts where taken down and were said to be "trust trading" which is exactly what dicers do, they are given money as a "trust trade" when they could easly scamm same thing applys with selling floors.
It's the same with about everything else, there are some legit people who do it in a way that isn't unfair but then you have douche bags that ruin it for everyone else by scamming/playing unfairly I've been the victim of dice scamming a couple of times but not everyone does that , but it does make the dicing community look bad. So I'm impartial to them removing dicing really..
Dude im not being an asshole its 50/50 odds no matter what u do its fun for people to host i enjoy hosting just because they have doesnt mean u have to do it. dici.g doesnt make everyone lose money to be honest i have doubled my bank skull balling. And almost all of those clans give back to there dicers. Dragon dyce is doing a 60b drop..... to say its unfair ithink is just not true.
You cannot report a "Dicer" without getting drawbacks onto your account, as we as a host are doing nothing wrong, only offering a service that is safe and reliable.
'We do not scam, we offer a reliable service in of which people can trust.
'People caught RWTing are banned instantly in Liked.
'Dicing is the same as dueling arena, but about 10x the rate of speed.
'This experience is more enjoyable then just staking, as any player can offer.
i quit runescape because of all the bullshit a while back, and jagex have finally apealed to me as making the game actually fun and playable again. i think i might have to start again....
I don't have too much of a problem but its that there are scammers, if there was an actual way of doing this without being able to be scammed, it would be fine.
As you said, it's the better's greed. I'm not sure why you think you should be able to report dicers. It says nothing in the rules. It's betting, which is completely legal. All it comes down to is the other person's greed, and if they lose their money it's their fault. So you're pretty much abusing the report system until you provide proof that dicing/skullballing(?) is against the rules. 'Good day.' I am a fan of your videos, have been for a while. I have never diced before, nor will I.
I've lost soo much money to dicing since it came out. :/ Never had luck staking but with dicing i had better luck but never knew when it was enough...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
How are they stealing other people's money? I'm positive that you are aware that there are legitimate dice clans, and having that said, I can now get on to my point. Dicing is nothing far off of staking at the duel arena. It is fast paced, it is alot easier to play, and it is more enjoyable for the majority of people who stake/dice. To be completely honest there is no reason why they should take it out. If you disagree please reply to me with a 'gentlemens' arguement, and i will reply.Fk 500char
I am not going to argue with you seeing as how clear you've made it that you are pro-dicing. You've gotten more of my time than most people deserve. Good day.
@Y0Dawg9000 its completely fair dicing. your ARE aware you may be scammed or loose. i dont hink they should have taken it out. but jagex did. oh well.
@Y0Dawg9000 dicing is faster than the duel arena, exactly why it is more of a casino than actually playing the game, it envolves almost no strategy except for doubling really. It is ALWAYS in the hosts favour and quite often ALOT of people get scammed, more so than the duel arena in my opinion. I guess this skull ball stuff isnt as bad but its still stupid, that people cant just make their money legitimatly and fairly like everyone else who cant afford the money to become a host.
@MrGs2face And this is why your wrong: 55 or 60x2 may be in the host's favour but it is easily counterable by sniping there win streak. Many people generalize 55x2 or 60x2 as a scam but in reality, it takes more skill to play than reguler DA staking. It involves probability and chance, rather than clicking on attack styles. And for Dice Dueling, it is not even close to a scam. The host keeps 5-10% of the bet, and thats his way to make $. DD is 50 50 chance and also involvs probability
@Y0Dawg9000 that is skilled then, but the general amounts of people who dice and cleaned then complain about it..... I dont really think its a scam because people know they can loose their money by doing it, but you can get scammed by dicing as people just log out, which annoys me because its just like scamming a trade. But i dont think dicing should be hosted by players, maybe hosted by an NPC? having betting in a game? but then that would probably be illegal in some countries.
@Y0Dawg9000 i guess the real reason they took it out is probably because they were getting sued for it being gambling or because people who arnt willing to risk their money to make money complained about it to an unbelievable level, and also because random people made dicing clans over and over, when all they should of really had was a few clans to do it
@Y0Dawg9000 Dicing is nothing far off staking? Let's see...
Yeah, to an extent they're both a game of chance but when you're staking do you give another player your gold and items to put your stats and skills to test which you actually worked for? Or do you sit in one spot, with no skills, hoping that the person isn't going to run off when you beat them in a roll?
Dicing was a lot different to dueling especially when you add in the third party which isn't AI and also holds your gold.
@Y0Dawg9000 Its a game not a place to gamble. And no it doesn't make the game more enjoyable. I find that the hard work put in to getting to a certain point whether a skill or money is what is to be enjoyable. What dicing clans would do is centralize money to a select few that are Dicing FC Owners and hosts alike. Without dicing and all this bullshit, would would never see someone with 10, 11, 20 Phats. Its ridiculous and besides most of it goes toward RWT which is also fact ;)
@InnateRS Here's where your wrong: "Its a game" -ye it is a game, its not supposed to be realistic. "And no it doesn't make the game more enjoyable" -that's why w54 + w2 are always crowded with people who dice, they obviously enjoy the game. "Without dicing and all this bullshit, would would never see someone with 10, 11, 20 Phats" - WAD made 200b+ staking, and b4 free trade came back he had all his $ from merchs. -out of space for more evidence on why your wrong. ttyl bro.
@Y0Dawg9000 You obviously havent played this game for more than 2 years to know what this game is. Its not a game that is used to lure people to make money, and RWT which in short is what dicing has done. Dont believe me? Where have FC's such as Dragon Dyce done most of it business? Sythe, a site for the RS black market, aka RWT. So yes it ruins the game on more levels than the average player see's. People cant manipulate things like staking because its just 1v1 no middleman.
@Y0Dawg9000 You obviously dont know what w2 was and what it was turned in to. w2 was never meant for Dicing, and dicers took advantage of it due to the large amount of traders that would play on it. w54 was made popular by WAD a long time after dicing appeared.
hey whynay very good video and i agree with you 100% already reported like 5 people and btw one of my friends might be able to help you get back your original name..contact me if u want to anyway great video :D
@SirKil0t Removing it will keep more people on. So many more people lose money to them then gain it. If they didn't mostly lose, it wouldn't be an effective way of making money
It took way to long for this... People have hosted dicing like 6 months tops now and made billions which is just unfair. I hate the scamming douches that think they're rich, which they are, but they don't deserve it.
ya like faggots like that will sit there every day and make money off of dumb asses. they wont even play the game, just sit in there crowd stacking up money and items, and fill there jew inventory with more and more shit and do it all the next day.
I don't believe that dicing/skullballing is against the rules. Both parties understand the odds of winning/losing so it's not like they were mislead, thus I wouldn't say it qualifies as scamming. It's blatantly stupid to gamble when odds are against you, but so long as you consend, I'm pretty sure it's fair game under the rules. I'm guessing that Jagex doesn't like the concept of gambling in-game so much (because of the update), but there's been no official stance to my knowledge.
What you second guessed yourself. My god in the old days you had an opinion and fuck everyone else was how it was. lol

At least with staking the only way you'd be scammed would be if you click accept without looking at the rules...

@Y0Dawg9000
I am not going to argue with you seeing as how clear you've made it that you are pro-dicing. You've gotten more of my time than most people deserve. Good day.

MrGs2face 3 months ago
@MrGs2face And this is why your wrong: 55 or 60x2 may be in the host's favour but it is easily counterable by sniping there win streak. Many people generalize 55x2 or 60x2 as a scam but in reality, it takes more skill to play than reguler DA staking. It involves probability and chance, rather than clicking on attack styles. And for Dice Dueling, it is not even close to a scam. The host keeps 5-10% of the bet, and thats his way to make $. DD is 50 50 chance and also involvs probability
Y0Dawg9000 3 months ago
@Y0Dawg9000 that is skilled then, but the general amounts of people who dice and cleaned then complain about it..... I dont really think its a scam because people know they can loose their money by doing it, but you can get scammed by dicing as people just log out, which annoys me because its just like scamming a trade. But i dont think dicing should be hosted by players, maybe hosted by an NPC? having betting in a game? but then that would probably be illegal in some countries.
MrGs2face 3 months ago
@MrGs2face same, I don't see it as a scam either. Its just like the casinos IRL, if ppl complain, nothing happens because they new what could happen
I2azo 3 months ago
@Y0Dawg9000 i guess the real reason they took it out is probably because they were getting sued for it being gambling or because people who arnt willing to risk their money to make money complained about it to an unbelievable level, and also because random people made dicing clans over and over, when all they should of really had was a few clans to do it
MrGs2face 3 months ago

InnateRS 3 months ago
@InnateRS Here's where your wrong: "Its a game" -ye it is a game, its not supposed to be realistic. "And no it doesn't make the game more enjoyable" -that's why w54 + w2 are always crowded with people who dice, they obviously enjoy the game. "Without dicing and all this bullshit, would would never see someone with 10, 11, 20 Phats" - WAD made 200b+ staking, and b4 free trade came back he had all his $ from merchs. -out of space for more evidence on why your wrong. ttyl bro.
Y0Dawg9000 3 months ago
@Y0Dawg9000 You obviously havent played this game for more than 2 years to know what this game is. Its not a game that is used to lure people to make money, and RWT which in short is what dicing has done. Dont believe me? Where have FC's such as Dragon Dyce done most of it business? Sythe, a site for the RS black market, aka RWT. So yes it ruins the game on more levels than the average player see's. People cant manipulate things like staking because its just 1v1 no middleman.
InnateRS 3 months ago
@Y0Dawg9000 You obviously dont know what w2 was and what it was turned in to. w2 was never meant for Dicing, and dicers took advantage of it due to the large amount of traders that would play on it. w54 was made popular by WAD a long time after dicing appeared.

@SirKil0t isn't
SirKil0t 3 months ago
@SirKil0t Removing it will keep more people on. So many more people lose money to them then gain it. If they didn't mostly lose, it wouldn't be an effective way of making money
