  • The punch that batman did when joker spit out those fake teeth was a fake punch

  • joker did not make batman. the comic canon avoid making the killer on of importance

  • wait so joker killed batmans parents? i dont remember that

  • I liked Ledgerds Joker best! Like if u agree!

  • @Fnutti1995 No.

  • dark night is crap

  • sorry for typos ..kinda drunk

  • For the people that don't understand ..Nolans version of the batman legend and burton's version ...Batman is a tragic hero altogehter in both versions ..Where Burtons version has batman out for vengance and beng a hero at the same time ..Nolans batman is a character trying to redeem himself and remove the horror of gotham city to be at peace by not killing , not sinking to the level of the criminal ...Batman as a symbol than an ideal ..both jokers come from the same core ..heath pushed it.

  • @ruthlessmada

What about Caesar Romero's Joker or Mark Hamil's animated Joker?

  • Fun fact: The "you wouldn't hit a guy with glasses would you? huh?" line was never in the script, Nicholson just made a character choice with that!

  • this kind of pushes batman's "i will not kill" moto out the window

  • @kosaba11 This was personal.

  • @kosaba11 to be honest he was under some strong emotions on the moment... heck! Even Nolan's Batman did try to kill the guy who shot his parents at one point and to be fair it's a pretty natural reaction

  • you idiyout

  • fly over the rooftop pilot, idiot

  • "what are you laughing at? " HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH XD

  • what an amazing Joker. Jack's will always be one of the best, second only to mark hamil

  • @bryanosb Well The Dark Knight sucked because the Joker does not die, what a shame.

  • @MrKojoman That's because Batman is not suppose to kill anyone...

  • I wanted to see Christian Bale beat Joker up like this....the interrogation scene WAS NOT ENOUGH!

  • thumbs iup if you also in a way wanted the joker to get away

  • pourquoi le joker meut sniff,!?

  • Why is he a cartoon when he falls? Even in '89 they had better effects than that surely.

  • @The6thSimpson

I always thought of that for years

  • What the hell is the name of the music playing during the actual fight scent itself (when Batman's beating the shit outta the Joker)? I can't find it anywhere.

  • @Idoloish

In the recent Expanded Archival soundtrack it is known as Showdown I/ Showdown II

You can buy it from straight from LaLaLand or Amazon.

  • quita los subtitulos!!!!!

  • you wouldn't hit a guy with glasses huh would ya

  • I hate when people compare Burtons to Nolons. Its like comparing silver age comic to current comics. Silver age Joker was just a bank ropper dress up like a clown. Burtons Joker was based off the comic Killing Joker were he was made insane by falling into toxic waste. This Joker in the comic was very dangerous and Insane but smart and told jokes. Nolons Joker was based off Brian Assarello comic. A psychopathic, schizophrenia, clown with zero empathy. He dosent care about power/money but anarchy.

  • keaton`s eyes those are the real Batman`s eyes

  • The bat grapple sound effects were cool in some scenes of this movie but in most they sounded cheap like when he uses the grapple near the end of this video when they are both falling.

  • Jack's Joker was more of a badass while Ledger's Joker was more of a psychopath

  • @Muertoz210

wow, no. that's not it at all. jack's joker was more of an actual funny guy, while ledger was a badass, genius, and nihilist. lord.

  • I still admire tim burton's campy and creepy version of batman

Ledger has him beat mainly to how he potrayed the joker

ledger's was fearless and without motive , which makes him more dangerous

Nicholsons was pure comical and his apperance was more directly towards the comics

Both jokers were both insane sociopaths , but ledger took it a step further and made the most memorable of all film characters .

  • @ruthlessmada Why do people compare the two? Just like comics there different versions and different times. Do you know how many versions of Batman an Joker are in comics? Keep in mind in 89 this film was considered very dark. So much so parent complained, and after Batman Returns they all got campy intill Nolon brought it back. But after 2000 all comic book movies were built in the real world. Burton film was built in the gothic realm.

  • @b7r7u7c7e Very true ..I guess i was nudging my opinion in the wrong door ...How i really see it is like everyone said , like the comics and most other comic versions . The chacters change , and are reinvented to serve a different era of batman . In this batman seeks vengence and will kill , in nolans hes a hero whos ideals are to resore faith in people ...Nicholsons joker was more of a creepy but hilarious lunatic , ledgers chracter was in the same boat , but was darker and more fearless .,

  • @ruthlessmada Right...And keep in mind Burtons Batman was based off a gothic dark fantasy. While Nolon version was based in the real world with a Frank Miller theme. Thats why the Burtons Batmobile had guns and style. While Nolon Batmobile was built for practical combat. Meaning to never kill just to intmidate and get batman to point A to point B with maximum protection. In this world the Joker would have to be ruthless. A psychopathic genius with zero empathy for anyone or himself.

  • *Joker falls

Jokers Goons: "Well there goes all that pay we were about to get........"

  • The death of the Joker! This is my favourite death for a villain, and thanks to the gargoyle statue, the death is quick.

  • 1:13 Apparently, he would.

  • "you wouldnt hit a guy with glasses now would ya?" that part made me laugh so much that it kept going until the end credits and then i rewinded it and watched it again XD

  • This was a pretty good movie for it's time, but the only down part is the clikax aka this fight scene. Joker dosent fight. He just gets beat.

  • @TheaterNerd3298 well jokers men put up a bit of a fight earlier before this whole scene

  • I thought batman didn't kill O.0 well maybe he didn't know the gargoyle would fall off

  • how do u no the joker is dead because he is in the dark knight

  • @thyannonomous42 Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin are a separate film series from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Batman - Batman & Robin is the Burton/Schumacher series, while Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises are the Nolan series.

  • Keaton > Bale

  • Batman's not a police officer, he has no rules or jurisdiction. This is not the cartoons or the shows from the 60's, this is Tim Burton's masterpiece based on what Batman was originally suppose to be in the first place.

  • I really don't have an opinion of Batman killing his enemies. I know that when Bob Kane and Bill Finger were creating the first Batman issues, they made Batman a vengeful vigilante who showed little remorse killing his enemies. It was not until later that the "don't kill anyone rule" applied.

  • cant batman fly?

  • @MrGuthixxo WHAT??? batman has no super powers

  • I guess batman had to break his rule in this movie since the joker killed his parents.

  • Joker Jack vs, Joker Heath, no one wins.

  • @DragonofDarknessKH Mark Hamill Joker wins...

  • Alan West! Best Batman ever I love his batmoblie!!!

    Sophia

  • @DavidHenesy Who's ALAN West?

  • @DarthStarscream1138 Adam Wests brother? daughter? do'h! fire me.

  • Okay, look, let's get one thing straight here. If you know anything about the Joker, you'd know he wouldn't go out like such a wuss. I mean, really? He had to scream like a child getting spanked in Wal-Mart? I love Jack, and I'm not going to suck Heath's dick, but at least Heath's Joker had some testicular fortitude.

  • @JamesStarkweather Joker didn't got spanked in walmart. More like FALL TO HIS DEATH! It's the natural human nature.

  • Batman broke his one rule! He can't just kill the joker!

  • @drdudemeister He can't plant a TNT on a fat guy's stomech and throw him in to a hole either. lol

  • @doctorseaweed2

What is with this "screaming like a bitch" childishness?

So, according to you, "real men" don't scream when they fall helplessly to their deaths?

    Idiots....

  • @AidanMclaren Yes, real men, including me would scream like a bitch when falling to there death. But come on, he's the joker! He is supposed to find sick things funny, including his own death.

  • @doctorseaweed2

Then why do you call it "screaming like a bitch" then? Why not "screaming in fear"?

  • @AidanMclaren Because Ledger owned him

  • this joker sucked

  • Batman dont kill wtf is this HE BROKE HIS OWN RULE :O

  • @CHUYINGOLINGO he snared the joker to a gargoyle to keep him from getting away, but he wasnt expecting the gargoyle to come off its base. can't blame batman for the jokers death

  • @antisora13 Idk i jus dnt like the ending, maybe cuz its old as fuck O.o

  • @antisora13 i just think that these kinds of movies are stupid......batman getting revenge on joker . That revenge shit is annoying. -_-

  • @CHUYINGOLINGO I should take revenge on you and devote the rest of my life to bringing you down just for saying that

  • @antisora13 No shutup...Batman is a hero that doesnt kill...heros that follow morals are better not those stupid revenge mutha fukers. >_<

  • Comment removed

  • They should have made the Christian Bale batman beat up on the Heath Ledger Joker like this. The Heath Ledger Joker had that kind of beating coming to him and it never came.

  • @AQuestionOrSomethin4 Yes I understand. They both suck ass compared to Mark Hamill

  • @Tannerb9000 no, actually not. u can't compare a cartoon to a live action.

  • Haha "lend you a hand". I get it!

  • LOL! You gotta love the sound effects! =]]]

  • Jokers laugh always gets me laughing @ 1:20 and 1:29! Great movie by Tim Burton!

  • The worst part of this movie is that the Joker actually dies. Oh and Jack napier killed Batsy's parents. That's not right.

  • "Excuse me! You ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?"

  • when batman shoots the joker at the end.. when did he tie the cord to the statue?

  • well that was...annoying and stupid.

  • Anyone else feel nervous whenever you watch the end?(Even tho this movie was 10 years before my time) But does anyone?

  • tanks god he carry with himself 32 graples

  • @xStrykerJ The Joker in the animated series was very similar to this portrayal. Mark Hamill's version, while lethally deadly, at times was scared of Batman because The Joker still wanted to play more games and was not ready to die.... I feel like this version works on a different level. It doesn't feel contrived, it's just a different take.

  • @xStrykerJ I've been saying that for the longest. Jack was definitely a great Joker, don't get me wrong, but I feel like Joker should've at least gone out with more of a fight.

  • @boi31111 More of a fight? Gravity always wins! If you don't believe me just ask your mother.

  • @stoner19860502 Grow up.

  • @boi31111 Yea, that's a great reply. You must be a real comedian

  • Comment removed

  • @xStrykerJ Joker screamed LIKE A BITCH!!! :)

  • @xStrykerJ I don't think Batsy had that intent, he just didn't want him to get away

  • @xStrykerJ But Jack Nicholson is so much friggin' funny, we don't give a sh*t, this movie is awesome!

  • @xStrykerJ joker wasn't scared of batman,

-this goes back to the old original batman when he used to kill people

  • @xStrykerJ He also shoved a guy into a hole with a bomb in the second one. It's either that or Batman 3/4. The no-killing was a persona adopted to make the character more kid-friendly and fit on TV.

  • @xStrykerJ Also, he wasn't scared of Batman. He was taking him towards the edge.

  • joker is jack napier

  • Joker goon: "There he is."

    Joker pilot: "Where?"

Joker goon: "Down there, the guy dancing like a jackass."

  • I don't care if Batman kills :)

  • i always thought that TDK was a reference to this at the end because Joker falls in TDK aswell except Batman saves him . its like a contrast

  • Oh yeah, the joker was the red hood before he turned all clowny.

  • LOL this fight is funny

  • Jack died in movie,Ledger died for real,Hamill voiced joker last time.Joker died !!!

  • Michael Keaton is the BEST Batman.

Jack Nicholson is the FUNNIEST Joker.

  • @barnileonidasz in your opinion this is the best batman for you but in mine ehh

  • @barnileonidasz Cesar Romero is the funniest joker.

  • Vicki Vale's scream can shatter glass....

  • 2:35 Uh oh, dont tempt fate!

  • There are exceptions of hitting people with glasses on.

  • The Irony of this movie. Falling down to your death is a Joker must. While the actor Jack Nicholson lived, while his character died. The actor Heath Ledger died, while his character lived to fight another day.

  • 2:24 "Kiss my ass!" xDDD

  • In the NES game Batman throws the Joker off the building to his death. The fight before it makes no sense either. Granted it is an old game but giving the Joker super powers and then having Batman intentionally killing him is strange.

  • 3:02

Batman- "You sit your fucking ass down!"

  • Comment removed

  • Jack Nicholson best actor for joker

  • "I'm gonna kill you"

Now that's something Batman should never say.

  • @whaowman that ain't at all true, he's said it many times throughout the years.

  • @whaowman well in this one the man did kill his parents.

  • doing the subtitles ruined this

  • "What are you laughing at!?"

  • that's what i don't like about the film - batman KILLING someone, thats like having a wolverine film with no claws, it just does not work

  • @Batpod05 He killed only one person - Joker, becasue he murdered his parents. That was the only time he killed. In next movie, he doesnt kill Shreck, but wants to put him in jail, before Selina kills him.

  • @TheJustCreative ah, fair enough.

  • @TheJustCreative I saw the 2 movies yesterday. In this he killed many people, with his car grenate and some people he shoot with his plane MG and the one at the end he throw him all the way down from the church roof.. In movie 2 he kills a gangster with a flamethrower from his car xD"

  • @Batpod05

For you info. Batman killed PLENTY of people in the original Batman comics. He threw villains off the roof and left them to die if they were wounded. He was a dark vigilante who showed little to no mercy. But since the comics were deemed to violent for the target group in the 1950's, the character was made into a superhero boyscout instead.

Also, in the modern comics Batman sometimes wants to kill those who have hurt those he loves.

    Cut the nonsense.

  • Which is more shocking:

The death of the Joker here, or the death of him in Batman: Arkham City?

  • @etiscool1 Well! He dies in his animated design too you know with Mark Hamill voicing him! XD

  • @etiscool1 Just spoiled the game to me :/

  • @Daibron u should've resisted clicking on death of joker video and reading the comments. actually my advice, when you intend to play a game resist the temptation to watch any youtube videos about it. i accidentally ruined my experience when i was watching trailers of read dead redemption and some douchebag had written the ending in quotes and bastard wrote '...have fun'. deliberately leaving spoiler to ruin other people's experience.. i hope that person dies soon.

  • @etiscool1 Arkam City by far.

  • Heh heh, This guy's alright.

  • Two27face it's the bat claw if you've ever played arkham asylum/city you'd know

  • hey what weapon is that? , that batman shot at the joker to stop him from climbing the lader into the helicopter? thats not a grappling gun. ANYONE?

  • @Two27Face actually that is a Bolo shooter, you know that weapon you have to swing around a few times before throwing and tying the person.

  • Keaton did the best job of having Batman look frighteningly angry! Just look at the face he puts on right before he kills the Joker with his grappling hook @ 3:02 . That look can stare into your very soul and condemn it hell!

  • I do see a lot of comments saying "Batman doesn't kill". Well, hang on, in the old comics, Batman killed criminals all the time. I can only say Tim Burton is following this by having Batman kill Joker-or Joker accidentally dying...or...something. But yeah, in a movie, it feels more satisfying to see the bad guy get killed than simply having him thrown in prison or something along those lines. Just my opinion, though.

  • @Watsonthe2nd Yup and dont forget that in Batman Begins, he let Rhas-al-Ghul die in the falling train...yet he has a "code" hm...

  • This scenje is so funny every time first his teeth fall out of his mouth second he hurts hand batman punches so hard he falls over the edge love this movie

  • Comment removed

  • I think its kind of weird that Batman just grabs the chick and swing her up no problem, but he cant even hold Jack Nickolson before he drops into the chemicals? Not to be a troll or anything, just thought it was unteresting

  • Watching this now, I cannot believe I used to watch this when I was about 8yrs old on VHS! No fucking wonder I got nightmares, the fucking worst kind aswell... :-/

  • I'll tell you why this scene is amazing. The Joker does his schtick, motorized teeth, then punches batman in the gut, and messes up his hand. The pain catches The Joker off guard. Batman says, "You killed my parents."

    ......

And Jack comes completely out of his Joker persona, due to the pain, and says, "What? ... Oh (I'm still supposed to be The Joker).... Ptooey... (get it together).... Heh heh... What're you talking about?"

Like, for that one second, jack Napier wasn't trying to be funny or i

  • I wish Heath Ledger's Joker would have taken a lot more punishment than he did. This Joker's death was just brutal. Heath Ledger Joker didn't even die. nor did he get his ass kicked. the jail cell beat down wasn't enough.

  • @jayNicks10 For tards like you, they made this movie. Some of us like the realistic and psychological tones more.

  • Bullcrap, the joker didn't kill his parents Joe chill , the lamest batman villain, did.

  • looks like spiderman

  • batman > batman begins

batman AND batman returns >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the dark knight

  • Comment removed

  • @georgebambridge

1: who gives a shit if he dies? its an epic death.

2: bob kane originally intended batman to kill and carry a gun.

  • 3:52 ....he'll be back...

  • Joker: What are you laughing at!?

    *a few minutes later*

Gargoyle: *is tied to Joker's leg and pulling him down* YOU'RE GOING DOWN WITH ME B****!

  • batman doesn';t kill

  • @DktorChoas That's what YOU think. But in Ooooold Batman comics, he actually DID kill criminals.

  • 0:45 LOL

  • 0:44 LOL

  • Tim Burton, Schumacer

  • how the fuck did the joker was able to pull both of them with both hands??

    O_o

  • How dare batman -:(

  • If he had a bat rope in handy. why the hell is he still grabbing on for his dear life?

  • i think this batman and christian bale batman were the best batmen.

  • @tridentlayers100 Nah, Kevin Conroy is still the best Batman. Not only that but the Batman and Superman of the comcis will always be best. The Burton movies to me are very outdated. They may have pretty visuals but they have little substance.

  • Jack Nicholson: The funny side of the joker

Heath Ledger: The dark side of the joker

Mark Hamill: The voice of the joker

  • @aiddan01 I have to say, Jack Nicholson's Joker is the worst of the three.

  • @aiddan01 Put that together, you got Comic book Joker.
