Hi my name is Blessy Ferguson im an 18 year old African American and i created a new genre of art Called "SpokenRap" Spoken Rap Is Spoken-Word As Well As Rap Delivered Over A Smooth Jazz Beat It Would Really Help If Everyone Liked This Comment And Help Me Spread This New Art. If You Want To Hear How It Sounds Visit My Channel and check it out. i promise you will like how it sounds. :-) thanks for you help
This spoken word touches my heart! Every word she spoke reaches a place in my soul i never knew was there! She reminds me of when my nana had a stroke! i was nothing without her and now God has healed her. I want Zora to know that God will heal!
This is not simply poetry.... this is transparent truth crying out from the depths of this young woman's soul. All I could say was Wow. Intensely beautiful... never stop letting your heart be heard.
I had to take a few minutes after this was over to catch my breath. Powerful stuff, right there. I wish my nana was still here. She would have loved this.
Absolutely brilliant. The way she speaks and transforms the poem into a story is amazing. She has definitely found her calling and what she is born to do. Powerful, more than words. Love it :)
That was absolutely amazing! Rythmic and not rhyme-timey. Powerful. Clever and I'm a big fan of clever. I was drawn in well before we got to the heart of the piece and then we went passed the heart to the heart beat and then all that clever got mixed with passion and frustration. That was off the hook...I am about to check your page and hope you reside in So Cal and are interested in some mic sessions. Be blessed.
At totally different points of this poem she reminds me of Aja Monet, Jurnee Smollett, Lynn Whitfield, and Cicely Tyson. All powerful, beautiful women.
Zora. I love you. This is sssoooo amazing in ways I cannot discribe. Just gonna have to tell you in person when we finally see eachother. Once again I love you and this was amazing.
oh this was her winning poem for her to become NY's poet laureate :) She is so amazing she became the first youth poet laureate!!! What an inspiration.
Best poem by far that I've heard. Almost had me crying. It was touching, and deep. I hope this poem isn't true, but if it is, I will pray for you and yours. God bless.
Very touching, and well performed.

She Reminds me of Zora Neale Hurston, she has a sing-song like, rolling 120's or 1930's accent. Very dope.

@Lyndsie15 she's gesturing and camera goes to down to capture her hands' movements.
iradgray 1 year ago 5
@Lyndsie15 I think they were trying to show how her hands are making fists so you know she is really being intense... or something.
jaykissesgirlz 1 year ago
@Lyndsie15 i think they messed up with that. but i love her work.
29psalm 1 year ago
@Lyndsie15 you know it has to be a guy holding the camera.
MoDizzle92377 1 year ago 3
@MoDizzle92377 I agree. Lol. And for another guy to say that for everyone to see... you know its true.
Lyndsie15 1 year ago
@Lyndsie15 maybe to capture some of the force she was using with her hands...thats what i was thinking anyways.
retta006 11 months ago
