  • I heard Jews put umbilical cord blood in their soups. Is that true?

  • How about a Matzo ball + wonton soup.

  • I HATE MATZAH! They're dry and cake in your mouth. But after watching this, I definitely would give matzah another chance. Thanks Danny, you rock!

  • @Danieldelaney - It looks fantastic! I will say that my cousin-in-law taught me something wonderful 10-years ago. She taught me to separate the eggs, add the yolks as you showed but to beat the egg whites until stiff and then fold them in. I'm not sure if this makes much difference but here matzah balls are the BEST!

Toda raba for all the recipes. I am watching your videos now. Good job!

  • WOOHOO! Jewish penicillin! :D Good for whatever ails you! I like it with chicken and veg ;)

  • @TigersPrettyBunny Haha yup!

  • Hey Dan, good episode, as always. Us Jews don't just eat chicken soup with matza balls on Passover, it is enjoyed by Jews around the world every Friday night as part of a traditional Shabbat (Sabbath) meal. I love how this show is teaching us all about food from places and cultures that most people have no idea about. As we say in Hebrew, Kol Hakavod - well done.

  • @hatabachit Thanks so much!

  • this episode is so good!!!! wow, you love food like i do.

  • @riotriotriot55 that I do!

  • wow, i have to try this, i love the veggies you put in the chicken stock, especially the parsnips....great job...

  • @shair00 Thanks!

  • Almost exactly like my family recipe. OK, no leeks. Chicken soup in the fridge overnight. I always want the chicken in the soup. The carrots from the stock went in the soup as well. Love the dill. Another great video!

  • @margowsky Thanks! Leeks are a good addition, I think.

Jesus can walk on water, but CHUCK NORRIS can swim on land

    very informative video Dan

  • I have found matzo to be one of my least liked foods. It is dry, flavorless, and messy. I find it to be a good vehicle for other flavors though. Matzo ball soup is great. I like to use all skin on, bone in, chicken thighs in my soup for maximum schmaltz. Getting a big spoonful of chicken fat is heaven for me. As for matzo balls, I like mine small and light, although some times big and dense is good too.

  • jewish food is intriguing. I tried making latkes one time and they were.. OK. :)

  • @MoveMyHipsMoveMyLips Do you have proof to justify a silly statement like that or are you just making things up out of thin air?

  • @DotanNegrin the first president of Israel gathered some of the best archeologists in the world to give proof of how jews lived in egypt as slaves etc etc. they found nothing. look it up, google is your friend.

  • @MoveMyHipsMoveMyLips That still doesnt prove that they werent in Egypt as slaves. Remember, not everything you see on Google is true. Instead of throwing around silly statements, why dont you do some research and find out for yourself.

It's possible it could be true. It's also possible that Jesus walked on water, but just because someone said it doesnt mean its true. There are tons of stories in the Bible, Torah, Koran, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're true.

hey guys, can't we just enjoy daniel's video? This is a conversation for a different video. Im not jewish, but that comment was not needed as a response for this video. Im pretty sure he didn't upload this video with the intent of provoking of a religous based debate.

  • @Fatuality Hahah - thanks.
