I didn't know that KBHK brought back Svengoolie back for a second try in 1983. They briefly had him on in 1973 as "The Ghoul".

@JackBauer152 we got it from 75 or so till 85 on our cable system here on the southern oregon coast and the channel showed kbhk from 7 am till 5pm and then it was ktxl tv 40 from 5pm till 7am. wierd huh? long live tom labrie...

i remember this in SAN JOSE CALIFORNIA!!! and "The Jokers Wild" one of the members of the Butthole Surfers tried to get on the show.

Does seem that this was an import from fellow Field station WFLD in Chicago, which was where "Son of Svengoolie" originated.

Was there also Svengoolie on WKBD Detroit, WLVI Boston, and WKBS Philadelphia?

As I live in a city which was not served by Field -- New York City -
(continued) . . . I can't say for sure . . . but I know from Kaiser/Field days, WLVI had "Creature Double Feature," for example.
i don't think so in Detroit, we had the Ghoul (WKBD/WXON/WGPR), Count Scary (WDIV), and Sir graves (WJBK).

@cwf1701 WKBD-TV 50 had Svengoolie in the early 80s.
@heine71 It's doubtful the broadcast tower in Berwyn put out a strong enough signal to reach Philly.
