I got my playbook from playbookforfree.co.uk all you have to do is sign up and then do an offer from a well known company such as lovefilm or blockbuster. Then get other people to do the same and thye will send your free item, it's that easy
Hey you asked this awhile ago but I thought I'd help. This is all speculation. BUT
The wifi only PlayBook will not have a pin, Because you will not be paying for a data package which includes BIS. Instead the wifi only versions will use your current BIS connection if you have a BlackBerry.
Now the 3G and 4G models I'm sure will have a pin, they are required for BIS to work. I don't see RIM making a product that has a data plan and no BIS. So 3G/4G PB will have it's own BBM.
@MondoBongoz nop, you won't need one. With your blackberry you will hook it up by bluetooth and automatically all your blackberry services and contacts will appear on the playbook
Tablets running desktop operating systems have been around for over 8 years. In this time only 1.5 million have been sold TOTAL. Within 6 months of release, the iPad has sold 3.3 million.
It's obvious that people don't want a tablet that gets 45 minutes of battery life and that runs a mouse/keyboard OS.
too bad it's running BB OS. I'm holding off until i see the 'real-world' performance of this device. But if the generations of Storm are any indication, it's poised to be pretty mediocre.
tablet pcs have been around long before the ipad, so BB is just trying to make a better table. then again I live down the street from RIM in Canada, so I might be biased.

@caydn2 yea but lets face it, everyone is trying to beat the ipad and this does look worth your money unlike an ipad (in my opinion)

@caydn2 i agree, apart for "flash-loving" and the camera it's just a copy from the ipad

@caydn2 Isn't Apple just imitating Microsoft considering Microsoft came out first? Everyone copies off everyone... get used to it.
